^ yea that isnt bad.My automatic Breitlings need service every 5 to 7 and are from 500-800 depending on functions and that is if nothing else is deemed wrong. they do come back all nice and polished in a travel case and with another 1 year warranty[Edited on November 19, 2010 at 4:16 PM. Found another Victorinox I like:http://www.jomashop.com/victorinox-infantry-classic-251289.htmlCompared to my first choice:http://www.jomashop.com/swiss-army-mens-watch-v251424.htmlWhat do you guys think? The infantry vintage looks more classy but the dive master looks pretty awesome too.[Edited on November 20, 2010 at 4:39 PM. Reason : j]

This my current watchhas a retro geek kind of cool, plus I can put my schedule and friend's phone no. in it should my phone run out of batteries.
11/20/2010 4:54:03 PM
haha classy. Think I'm still going with the Divemaster 500. Better quality watch from what I hear. Thick but I have big wrists and I love the gunmetal stainless steal. I might have to order it tomorrow.
11/20/2010 5:34:49 PM
oh my god, i love the divemaster. especially the gunmetal one.i've wanted that watch ever since i first saw it.

Be careful with battery changes, I had to go without my watch for a month and it's still not back to 100% (and will never be) because it got fucked up (I have changed it with zero issues, the fucking jewelry stores mess it up and I am done with them once they finally kill this watch with their incompetence).I'd have demanded a replacement if I'd paid more than $50 for the watch. Sad thing is now I have to keep on taking it back to the same place that fucked it up, because any other shop would blame anything on the first shop, and the first shop wouldn't do crap because someone else had touched it.
11/21/2010 12:48:58 AM
Or you could just go mechanical, and not bother with batteries...
11/21/2010 11:18:09 AM
Next time, but this is my beater watch so I got the cheapest all titanium women's watch I could find on ebay. Plus I've already had it over 5 years and the only problems were battery change induced.
11/21/2010 11:28:01 AM
You can get pick up some fairly cheap vintage tissot's and hamiltons. Those two and some skagens are all my "beater"s. I'm just lacking in some decent watches. HA! I've been looking at some vintage omega and rolexs to add some "nice-ness". I prefer smaller faces, in comparison to most of the huge monstrosities put out today. I'm also really fond of the minimalism of the 50s and 60s watches.
11/21/2010 11:32:57 AM
You can't get vintage titanium ladies watches. I could barely find anyone that made new ones 5 years ago. Thankfully they are more popular now so finding my next will be easier.
11/21/2010 11:38:17 AM
Yea, titanium would be a little harder to find [Edited on November 21, 2010 at 11:41 AM. Reason : ]

Amazon just added that model direct from amazon for the same price:http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003SFMIFE2 year amazon warranty versus 3 year Jomashop warranty. Jomashop also says ships in 1-2 weeks whereas Amazon ships next day and I get shipping with Amazon prime. Should I just order it from Amazon?
11/21/2010 1:53:39 PM
I like ordering from amazon. That's just me though.I prefer a long warranty, but personally, if it doesn't fail in the first year, it's not going to fail (of course there are exceptions to every rule). Both the watches you have chosen are very nice, but the Diver 500 has better quality components.A sapphire crystal with an AR coating is a nice thing to have.
11/21/2010 2:25:00 PM
^Thanks. Yeah I feel good ordering from Amazon. A 2 year warranty is fine. If the quartz movement fails because it's defective then it'll probably happen within the first 2 years. Going to just do that. Going for the Divemaster. It's the better watch and it radiates awesomeness haha.
11/21/2010 2:33:23 PM
I'm a huge fan of gunmetal. Very understated.
11/21/2010 2:49:42 PM
Belk's had it. Played with it for a while. Absolutely love it. Lady tried to get me to buy it for $995 on a Belk's card. Told her I'd think about it because she took out 3 links on an Invicta I picked up at Cosco for $39:Nice little watch if anyone wants to add to their cheap Invicta collection.
11/21/2010 7:04:21 PM
lol, you paid $39 to get 3 links taken out of a Invicta? Does the watch even worth that much?
11/22/2010 12:51:07 AM
I think he means he paid $39 for the watch at Costco.
11/22/2010 12:55:54 AM
^haha bingo. $39 Invicta watch from Costco. Pretty good watch for $39. Oh ordered the Victorinox. Be here tomorrow.
11/22/2010 8:59:38 AM
Or maybe I'll get one of these:http://gizmodo.com/5692738/the-ipod-nano-watches-to-rule-them-all-trust-me-herehaha.
11/22/2010 9:50:07 AM
^ great idea. First thing i thought when i saw the new nano form factor is how awesome it would look on a wrist and how easy it was to make a wristwatch adapter. I cant beleive that there is not an official Apple wristwatch band for those.
11/22/2010 4:22:50 PM
out for delivery! can't believe I'm this excited to get a watch in.
11/23/2010 9:06:11 AM
this watch is pretty hot:Took me a minute to figure out the chronograph. It's weird not having a big second hand move all the time (unless you keep the chronograph on all the time). The constant second hand is just the tiny one on the bottom.
11/24/2010 12:55:54 PM
Very nice. Now I want one. I feel like TWW is growing up...You came in asking for a Fossil and we sold you on the merits of a quality watch. [Edited on November 24, 2010 at 1:01 PM. Reason : s]

^^ I've got a couple of chronos that are like that. It definitely takes some getting used to.

dammit now I want to start collecting watches. I need to pick up a nice Citizen Eco Drive and I want a skeleton automatic.

Everything Invicta on Amazon is crazy on sale atm.
11/28/2010 3:26:41 PM
It's always crazy on sale. They have been putting ridiculously high MSRP on their watches for years and then selling them to people who were tricked into thinking they got a great deal. They're one step above the white van speaker scam guys in my opinion.
11/28/2010 3:38:02 PM
I concur.
11/29/2010 9:29:46 AM
ok bored. need watch #3. I want a skeleton automatic. Only down side is I have to wind it. Hmmm. Or make sure to wear it every few days.
12/6/2010 4:59:23 PM
I actually enjoy winding them and setting the time on my automatics. Some do actually live on watch winders when I do not have them on.I have wanted and manual wind, that would need to be hand wound.
12/6/2010 5:02:00 PM
.........Mmmmmm.......... watches....... yay!
12/6/2010 6:07:32 PM
^ pusher and enablerboth my Breitlings from her company
12/6/2010 9:21:54 PM
Enabler, possibly...Pusher? Not hardly - - I just want you to have what you love
12/6/2010 9:26:17 PM
haha wish I could afford a Breitling.

when my raymond weil dies I'm getting a platinum Harry winston. but my raymond weil will not die so even though I have come so close to buying that damn watch I can't. It will prob. be a while till I do, seeing how this watch won't die (but I guess I'm ok with that-that HW ain't cheap!)
12/7/2010 3:47:31 PM
^5I like the new Aquaracer Auto better than any of the three above...1 is a quartz, 3 is a retired model... the new ones are cosmetically 'prettier' IMO
12/7/2010 9:54:10 PM
I want this:A LOT.But I don't think I would want to wear it everyday. & I'm not coughing up three grand for a watch I'm not going to put on every morning.
