Also, Kentucky is the better team.
3/6/2011 2:20:25 PM
headed to the dome to be disappointed... but at least I will have great seats (10 rows behind the bench)
3/10/2011 6:18:52 PM
Took out Arkansas. As they should have. On to play Florida tonight. Will probably lose, but there is always a chance. UT is a lock for the NCAA tournament albeit a #8-10 seed.
3/11/2011 10:21:49 AM

3/11/2011 7:58:44 PM

3/14/2011 5:17:17 PM
rumors that Bruce has been fired haha, would be the oddest timing ever
3/16/2011 8:46:40 PM
What a crock if so.....Calipari can coach but Pearl's gotta go because he lied about a BBQ.That's bullshit.
3/16/2011 11:18:46 PM
Goodbye Bruce... its been fun, please dont land somewhere in the SEC
3/18/2011 2:32:11 PM
lol, whoever your AD is, I'd hope he would just stomp up to him and be like "You're a disgrace to the uniform!" and rip off his orange tielike newman when jerry filled in as a mailman
3/18/2011 2:35:33 PM

3/18/2011 2:39:45 PM
Wow, UT is down by 30?Ouch!How'd that happen?
3/18/2011 2:40:03 PM
bad defense, lack of effort by everyone not named Harris or Golden, Michigan not missing in the second half
3/18/2011 2:41:06 PM
InterestingI wonder how this affects Pearl's future[Edited on March 18, 2011 at 2:41 PM. Reason : and his legacy]
3/18/2011 2:41:52 PM
legacy, not at all... future was probably already decided, cant imagine what it would have been like if he had never got them to the tournament at all[Edited on March 18, 2011 at 2:43 PM. Reason : d]
3/18/2011 2:43:00 PM
3/18/2011 2:43:11 PM
So where does UT go from here if Pearl is out? I wonder if they'll be targeting some of the same names as State.[Edited on March 18, 2011 at 2:45 PM. Reason : at least Jaybee and I filled out our brackets with our minds, not our hearts]
3/18/2011 2:44:07 PM
I hear they are interviewing Jeff Fisher, Heath Shuler and Kenny Chesney next week

3/20/2011 4:59:49 PM

3/20/2011 5:00:16 PM
You wanna go halfsies on some that domino's chicken
3/20/2011 5:02:50 PM

3/20/2011 5:04:01 PM
Pearl Chinese is about as clean as Bruce
3/20/2011 5:05:10 PM
NC Seafood must pay off the health department then, because their fried Calipari is as dirty as it gets
3/20/2011 5:06:34 PM
3/21/2011 3:33:33 PM
good night, sweet prince(tennessee basketball program, that is)pearl won't be down long
3/21/2011 4:09:17 PM
We shall see... They were going to be god awful next year with or without Pearl with Hopson and Harris gone
3/21/2011 7:01:58 PM
3/21/2011 7:32:53 PM
With so few openings, this is probably the 5th best job available. I'm sure they can land a decent mid-major coach.
3/21/2011 7:52:32 PM
3/21/2011 8:54:52 PM
not sure who they are getting... with the #4 largest attendance in the country and the overall Athletic Department budge, money wont be a problem... if they get someone solid/charismatic that can continue the recruiting at the current level, then they will be ok after next year's god awful year (once again assuming Hopson and Harris go to the NBA). But they will probably go safe and conservative and be a borderline tournament team for a few years before naming a new coach a few years down the road.

3/22/2011 9:30:33 AM
Lawrence Frank is rumored to be high on the list, and would probably hold all the recruits, but would cost a lot of $$... but money is no problem, just a matter if they WANT to pay that much
3/22/2011 7:38:08 PM
^^This isn't a Navy messageboard. We could really give a fuck what you think. Congrats on calling a coach with NCAA trouble getting fired that isn't at Kentucky/Duke/UNC.
3/22/2011 9:37:48 PM
[Edited on March 23, 2011 at 10:20 AM. Reason : ah, UT. So many LOLs]
3/23/2011 10:19:51 AM

3/23/2011 2:30:50 PM
3/23/2011 6:23:11 PM
So you prefer Grant or Marshall JB?
3/23/2011 6:26:26 PM
not sure... Grant is slightly younger (but looks a lot younger) more energetic, can connect with the kids, but Marshall is solid.
3/23/2011 6:30:16 PM
If someone posted that list in the State coaching search thread, jaybee would choke on his triple whopper
3/23/2011 6:35:21 PM
well yeah, thats NC State, this is Tennessee. Jump in our time machine and go back to the 80s and I wouldnt[Edited on March 23, 2011 at 6:37 PM. Reason : d]
3/23/2011 6:36:52 PM
You think UT is a better job than State?[Edited on March 23, 2011 at 6:38 PM. Reason : You think UT has a shot at Wright or Dixon?][Edited on March 23, 2011 at 6:40 PM. Reason : And I'm not asking that in a derisive tone. Seriously, though, explain why UT is a better job now]
3/23/2011 6:38:11 PM
I know UT has more money than State. And in the current state of things, I would have it better. If you look at the whole history of bball then no, its not even close, State's better. But its like going off of history alone, UT is a better football job than Florida, but to anyone around right, now Florida is ahead of UT.#4 in attendance nationally, been in the tournament a lot lately, couple of sweet 16 appearances, getting great recruits, SEC money, only having one "big boy" in your conference (Kentucky) vs. two in your own stateAs for Wright and Dixon, based purely on money and the program being big enough, yes. But I think they are too high profile to take a chance with possible sanctions coming. [Edited on March 23, 2011 at 6:43 PM. Reason : d]
