^A straw-man on top of another straw-man?Wow, you don't know when to quit.(Though, I don't really expect a stubborn and illogical fool like yourself to concede to anything, anyway.)

goalielax is hitting the nail on the head, and it's blatantly obvious to everyone except for indy, who isn't going to understand or be anything other than comically absurd no matter how you explain it to him.I move that we all completely ignore him and go about our business.[Edited on August 15, 2010 at 1:19 PM. Wikileaks will release the remaining 15,000 afghanistan dispatches by the end of the month. Godspeed Mr. Assange. You are surely doing the lord's work. What a true American hero!
8/15/2010 8:37:47 PM
is it just me, or does Assange come off as a giant douche? the kind of guy that you'd like to beat the shit out of just because of how much of a douche he is. He talks a big game about transparency and the like, yet his own organization is anything but transparent. Likewise, he's so transparent that he won't let anyone know where he is. Or he'll claim he'll be at an event and then not show up.
8/15/2010 9:19:36 PM
Hopefully more wikileak clones will setup shop in Iceland. The more the better, preferably on distributed servers with a far more dispersed power structure.
8/15/2010 10:04:33 PM
^^^ I'd love to see that idiot get bumped off. I'd do it myself if I had immunity.Disseminating American military secrets is not the vehicle by which to protest foreign policy with which you disagree.

this thread is a cute little collection of people like indy and smc trying too hard

The Iraq leak is on the way next month, and it will dwarf the Afghanistan dispatches in both size and the scope of atrocities. Allah be praised.

just as a side comment to what goalielax said above, the amount of rapes in prison are generally overstated. statistics show that the rate of rape in prison is only slightly higher than that of the general nonprison population.
10/22/2010 8:10:22 PM
so reports and cases are understated compared to reality?
10/22/2010 8:16:34 PM
what a worthless piece of shit. Assange should show some of his own desire for "transparency" and show how decisions are made at wikileaks. Hell, maybe he could even be "transparent" about his whereabouts, lol
10/22/2010 8:23:48 PM
not much shocking information has come out. Mostly stuff we already knew or suspected. The big revelation is how heavily-involved Iran has been in training and supplying the insurgency.smc must be so disappointed.
10/22/2010 8:49:25 PM
That's some quality spin there, buddy. "We already suspected that we've killed, maimed, or generally ruined the lives of thousands of civilians. This just helps prove it. Nothing to see here!" It's no surprise to see people demonizing the guy that's bringing this to light.
10/22/2010 9:05:27 PM
I'm not defending the war by any stretch of the imagination. But this guy is a total douchebag, make no bones about it. If you want to make a point, how about a targeted leak of documents that shows what you are trying to show, instead of a mass leak of documents that dictates everything from tactics to deployments to whatever was on the menu last week. no, this guy is just putting out every last thing he can find, no matter how much it might harm any one else. He is just as guilty of killing people as the marine who fires from the hip into a crowded market.[Edited on October 22, 2010 at 9:22 PM. Reason : ]
10/22/2010 9:21:18 PM
IDK, I skimmed over the reports and big headlines. The Iraqi government was torturing people and we didn't investigate, hundreds of civilians were gunned down at checkpoints due to communication and protocol breakdowns, there were border skirmishes between the US and Iran, most Iraqi civilian deaths were at the hands of other Iraqis... What did I miss? Again, where are the shocking revelations and war-crimes Assange alludes to that we didn't know about? It just sounds like more of the same.

LOL at Assange breaking his organization's 1 biggest rule (keeping sources anonymous) in order to boast about who is spilling information on the Russians. The guy looks like a clown more and more every day.
10/26/2010 10:53:24 PM
Our holy father will be releasing a leak that is seven times larger than the Iraq documents this week. US government is already alerting our ambassadors that they may be ejected from angry foreign nations. Bless assange and any woman lucky enough to be touched by his anointed willy.
11/25/2010 1:06:29 PM
It's coming.
11/26/2010 11:24:55 PM
done
11/28/2010 3:01:58 PM
The most recent release reveals a lot of state politics being played and some embarrassing revalations about how the US really viewed it's allies, but there isn't anything really shocking that I've seen so far. Maybe someone's feelings will be hurt. Like the Iraq transcripts, it's much ado about nothing at this point.
11/28/2010 3:09:07 PM
So far, they have only released a fraction of what they have. More will be released in the coming weeks/months.So funny to see the people's reactions on the Fox News Facebook page...

you guys do know that your boys are going to burn and that their actions directly cause the deaths of innocent people?you do understand that while their premise is noble, these wikitards are nothing more that attention whores? if they had pure intentions, they would seek out specific acts within their acquired documents that demonstrate corruption or some kind of crime....instead of simply broadcasting whatever analytical or opinion-based scribble they come across to entire the world.
11/29/2010 11:05:30 AM
Nope, complete disclosure is the only way. Just refreshing the tree of liberty with the blood of patriots.Anyone who dies by wikileaks' hand has died because of the truth.[Edited on November 29, 2010 at 11:48 AM. Reason : May many die.]
11/29/2010 11:47:29 AM
I don't know why people act as if wikileaks are the ones causing any death. It's the CIA (mostly) doing fucked up shit in other countries (and not just our enemies, evidently) that is causing people to die.
11/29/2010 11:50:54 AM
do you have some statistics to back that up?
11/29/2010 1:07:53 PM
Sure. 100% of Osama Bin Laden's agree. But are you seriously questioning that it has been our CIA fucking around in other countries that puts us at risk? I just assumed that was a given by now.
11/29/2010 1:23:45 PM
11/29/2010 1:28:59 PM
yes I am. I am a fan of people using facts when they try to influence my opinion....instead of whatever they watched in some crappy Matt Damon movie. are you seriously using Bin Laden as an example? do you seriously believe that US operates in a vacuum as some sort of deity...I mean obviously...Bin Laden (your example) is still alive. WE ARE ALL REACHING AND ALL POWERFUL.
