the amare thing does seem like a typical dumb knicks move but I can't really blame them for making it, they have plenty of cap room and couldn't afford to come up empty this off season, if they keep david lee too they can at least say they have a good front line for them and work on the guard situation over the next couple of yrs
7/6/2010 3:30:43 PM
I'm just having a hard time seeing this Amare contract not being like the other atrocious ones they've been trying to unload for the past few seasons
7/6/2010 3:46:51 PM
nah the knicks are good. they can still sign any other superstar or worst case scenario they can bring lee back and add a good guard.duhonallenhowardamareleewould be a nice team[Edited on July 6, 2010 at 7:58 PM. Reason : if they get wade or bron they will be in the mix for years to come.]
7/6/2010 7:57:14 PM
Too bad Duhon just signed a deal with Orlando to be the backup.
7/6/2010 7:58:53 PM
Duhon, huh?
7/6/2010 7:58:59 PM
o no that changes everything ^^no he didnt. duhon is still a knick as of right now anyway
7/6/2010 8:02:30 PM

7/6/2010 8:08:10 PM

7/6/2010 8:16:04 PM
howard is still a wizardallen is still a celticwhats your point?
7/6/2010 8:16:15 PM
I, too, mask my ignorance on certain subjects by playing a semantics game.
7/6/2010 8:21:49 PM
Man, it'd be cool to see the Knicks sign Lebron now. The Knicks would be like the D'Antoni Suns, except with Lebron playing Steve Nash lol. Too bad they can't shoot 3s well enough.
7/6/2010 8:33:04 PM
that would be awesome if bosh takes that cleveland deal, cleveland must be really boring and crappy to live if he refuses the deal right now but this would definitely renew my interest in the nba knowing their is a team to kill the lakers now

Bron to the Knicks, Bulls or Heat nowHe won't want to share the spotlight with two others
7/7/2010 9:15:08 AM
^ So wouldn't that rule out the heat?
7/7/2010 9:17:24 AM
Fucked that upKnicks, Bulls or Cleveland, IMO
7/7/2010 9:21:41 AM
bron bron to the knick knacks

Durant agrees to a five year extension with the Thunder via his Twitter account.
7/7/2010 11:25:20 AM
Del Negro got the Clippers gig.
7/7/2010 2:10:03 PM
All Miami needs now to be a top contender is Anthony Grundy.Do the right thing Pat.
7/7/2010 2:41:00 PM
well I'm glad bosh teamed with someone, I was hoping it would be lebron though, miami prob still needs to work on their roster some toolebron might have known about this already but this makes his decision a lot more difficult now, I wonder if thinks about the knicks now or chicago, hell even new jersey by himself might be tempting if he knows he can't win a title with this cavs group, new jersey has harris and lopez and cap room at least, and I haven't heard anything about boozer, maybe he can team with him somewhere?
7/7/2010 3:05:52 PM
you're crazy if you dont think he already knew about the bosh/wade thing, and also if you still think he hasn't got his mind made flat the fuck upyou dont schedule an announcement at a hard time if you're waffling on your decision
7/7/2010 3:09:19 PM
I have a $100 dollar bet with my company's COO on this.I bet that he's going to go to either Chicago or stay in ClevelandCOO has Miami, New York and New Jersey.Who wins?
7/7/2010 3:13:36 PM
^ 80% COO wins, 20% you win.
7/7/2010 3:17:14 PM
Why does he get three teams and you get two?Thats bullshit
7/7/2010 3:17:49 PM
yeah but NJ is one of his teams
7/7/2010 3:19:22 PM
maybe he can get the guy to throw in the Clippers as well. Im sure he'd wouldnt give that much of a shit
7/7/2010 3:20:01 PM
LOL, I gave him New Jersey b/c he really wanted Chicago. But honestly, I don't think the Nets have a fucking chance.80/20 I lose....really? You must feel really strongly about New York or Miami. Which one?
7/7/2010 3:20:09 PM
If I was picking, I'd say 1. Knicks - Most potential money, no legacy to live up to and a great big man2. Cleveland - Finish what he started3. Miami - Best team on paper, but it would always be Wade's team4. Chicago - I don't think Rose and Noah as are good a foundation as some people do5. Nets - 2 years till Brooklyn, only in the running due to Jay Z
7/7/2010 3:23:13 PM
I couldnt tell you which one I think has more of a chance. Everyone seems to think the Knicks are the front runners now, and people on here make a good point about not releasing contract terms on the Heat players yet. I honestly dont think NJ is out of the question. But I would be surprised if he was putting up this big Sportscenter shit show to say he is going back to Cleveland. It looks like there arent any other big names going to Chicago, and I would assume LBJ doesnt want to play with Noah. They had that whole thing about the dancing not that long ago and Noah is a huge prick anyway. [Edited on July 7, 2010 at 3:25 PM. Reason : .]
7/7/2010 3:23:36 PM
I just don't buy the whole living in MJs or Wade's shadow in Chicago or Miami. It sounds like some bullshit that allows Mike & Mike to fill three hours on the radio. I can't picture Lebron sitting around with his friends saying "man, I'd love to play in Chicago, but I just can't bear the thought of playing in Michael Jordan's shadow" or "Miami is a great place to live and I can win there, but it will always be Wade's team and that sure could hurt my legacy". It's gonna be about $$ and winning, plain and simple. All this legacy talk is overblown.
7/7/2010 3:39:46 PM
I dont think he stays in Cleveland...he would have held the TV show in Cleveland and I think that he would have already announced if he was planning on staying there.
7/7/2010 3:44:25 PM
IMO i think he will take the $ in NYK despite living under John Starks' shadow
7/7/2010 3:48:50 PM
LeBron and Amare combined will only sweat one third as much as Ewing did in his prime
7/7/2010 3:51:14 PM
this thread cracks me up, hes staying in cleveland
7/7/2010 3:52:07 PM
lebron should sell advertisements on the side of his head, unlike anthony ma$on who just put his own name on it and shit
7/7/2010 3:52:26 PM
Man, fuck John Starks.
7/7/2010 3:52:48 PM
no, seriously, he's going to NY
7/7/2010 3:59:04 PM
FYI, he is giving all of the proceeds for the announcement to the Boys and Girls Clubs of America.
7/7/2010 3:59:26 PM
Maybe he should donate it to Cleveland's suicide hotline. They could be looking to add some extra staff for the next few weeks.
