Lafleur wins, he dominated an era of hockey. Francis was a very good and sometimes great player, but he could not dominate like Lafleur. Until Gretzky, no man hit 1000 points in the NHL as fast as Guy did.

Eh, still not totally convinced. Though I didn't realize how much hardware Lafleur has. I'll agree that Lafleur was more of a dominating player, but I don't know how you can call the 4th leading scorer in history just "sometimes great".Francis didn't really have the superstar persona (that Lafleur had), and he often gets overlooked because of that.Had Lafleur played 5 more seasons though I don't think I would be debating this.
