We just came in from off the beach access in KDH. There's virtually no rain and the wind isn't blowing any harder than it does in the winter.

still drizzle in New Bern.. I figured the news would hype this one up since it is the first and there don't seem to be many big stories breaking now..

Took some of the beach at the Clark St. access in KDH a few minutes ago. Only got one north facing shot cause the wind is still a bit sporty on the beach it self Couple more in my gallery, plus a couple I took from my folks' house in Rodanthe on Wednesday.

This has been a boring season so far in terms of the CONUS. I think this season is like 95 when there was a good amount of storms but most went out to sea.

Yeah, it has been fairly quiet overall of the US, but we've been hit hard with the remnants of two systems here in Oklahoma (Alex and Hermine). Nearly 5 inches of rain fell from Alex's remnant low, causing extensive flooding across SW OK and the OKC metro area. This go around, we luckily dodged the heaviest of the rain that we were anticipating (5-6"), but a few cities in the eastern and southeastern portion of our DMA received damage from a few EF-0 and EF-1 spin-up tornadoes. It was wild watching that live video out of the Dallas metro of that tornado skipping through the west side of town.Folks here were just happy they didn't see a repeat of Erin in 2007. Officially dubbed by the Norman NWS as "The Land-o-cane"
