Took a few pictures after moving in. Lots of stuff I want to do but, still happy to finally get in:Shutters need painting...and not blueWe love the kitchen, but the counters have to get updated at some point for sure and ill put in a tile backsplash at that point as welland the floors as well...tile or hardwood, havent decided in the kitchen area yet. Definitely plan to replace that light fixture and at some point replace that door.yard needs work, but the lot is great. sits up high in the back of the neighborhood and even though we are 15 mins from downtown, the view from here looks like we are much farther out because they kept so many treesOne of the other things we loved about the house was the fact that it was 4bdr/3bath and still had a great bonus room (that I will turn into a media room)Will definitely be taking more pictures after we paint, replace light fixtures, get more furniture etc.[Edited on April 4, 2010 at 8:13 PM. ^^^nice. We are aiming to have a house-warming part by July (moved in 6 weeks ago) We are both just working too much right now but we still want to get hardwood floors down, put up a lot of trim, furnish the library and dining room, and do a lot more painting before we have a bunch of people over. Basically finish the first floor haha. I just don't want to turn out like one of my friends who had his house-warming part 9 months after moving in [Edited on May 12, 2010 at 3:58 PM. Reason : ]

Article in the local Post and Courier (Charleston paper) about my house. Good before and after picture. He's putting in the countertops and appliances this week. Can't wait to get in this house and start to furnish it.http://www.postandcourier.com/news/2010/may/24/man-creates-a-new-house-built-in-1891/#commentsAnd here's a little blurb about me:

He bought the house for $60,000. It was unliveable and the city was about to tear it down. He completely rebuilt it (which cost him a fortune), and I'm buying it for $230,000.It's downtown Charleston. Its one of the more expensive zip codes in the Southeast.[Edited on May 24, 2010 at 12:42 PM. Reason : .]
