For the dudes that never hear back from messages that you send out... there is a subtle art to sending the first PM. You have to make sure that it isn't too long, but is long enough to get their attention. You gotta be confident but not a douche (kind of hard sometimes because sarcasm is hard to convey online).

Also, keep in mind that if she interested you, she probably interested 100 other guys so you are gonna have to stand out and expect to get rejected A LOT. Like maybe get 1 reply for every 20 you send out.

funny story..i tried match for a few months in 2010 right before i started seeing my current girlfriend. I never really did anything with it and mostly ignored all of the messages I got. I sent only one message to a girl that was supposed to be "matched" for me and she never responded, though based on her profile she seemed to be very active on the site.



yesterday I ran into this girl at the community mailbox of neighborhood. i recognized her face but couldn't figure out where I knew her from and I could tell she was thinking the same thing. It was about halfway back to my place that it popped in my head that she was the match.com girl i hope she figured it out on her walk back too.
