i thought maybe he was talking about getting back with skyler
5/31/2010 8:51:15 PM
i'm pretty sure he meant Jesse, because 1) Gus doesn't really have much to do with Walt and Skylers relationship2) Jesse being a drugged-out assistant will effect Gus much more. Remember back when they started working for Gus (when they met him for the first time at the restaraunt), his main concern was that Jesse was unreliable3) most telling - Gus said "don't make the same mistake twice", and the next scene cut straight to Jesse getting out of his car

so did Walt take the advice...no more half measures...and do the ol' fliparoo? i'm interested to see how he explains this to Gus
6/8/2010 9:38:35 PM
I was checking out wikipedia, and it looks like this upcoming sunday's episode was both written and directed by Vince Gilligan. First episode he's done both since the pilot. Should be extra awesome.]
6/10/2010 1:51:37 AM
eh, I'm not sure how much him directing this episode is actually going to make it better or worse than it otherwise would have been...he's only directed one other episode and I don't think the show has suffered because of it. On a side note, AMC is airing the pilot of Rubicon (their new political thriller series) after the finale on Sunday, so set your DVRs accordingly. AMC's track record with original series so far has been impeccable so I'll definitely be checking it out.
6/10/2010 3:09:42 PM
I feel the Pilot might be the best episode of the series and if that is the only one he wrote and directed than that will make this finale extra special.
6/10/2010 8:01:14 PM
is this a series finale, or just season finale?

6/13/2010 11:56:52 PM
what a bullshit, cop out cliffhanger ending...thoroughly unsatisfying.[Edited on June 14, 2010 at 12:05 AM. Reason : .]
6/14/2010 12:01:06 AM
OK, so I'm somewhat less pissed about the ending after reading this quote from Sepinwall's interview with Vince Gilligan:
6/14/2010 12:24:56 AM
^ yeah, I'm glad I found that interview too, just to clear that upI feel bad for Jesse though
6/14/2010 7:48:11 AM
Good episode, but that ending kinda made me
6/14/2010 10:27:28 AM
it never really seemed to me as if jessie didn't shoot the guy. i supposed some people had that question in mind since it is a common what if cliff hanger used.
6/15/2010 6:09:48 PM
i don't see how he couldn't have shot the guy. i think he shot him and saved walt's ass.
6/15/2010 6:45:23 PM
This was one of the few times in the series I didn't believe Walt's character.... First he wasn't cool with killing drug dealers, and only did it to save jesse and NOW he's gonna kill Glen... WTF?!?!?But to echo everyone else... Solid Episode!
6/16/2010 3:09:16 AM
^Didn't believe his character?Do you think he is suicidal? He needed a plan to stay alive, and this seems to be a viable one. It's him or Gale. And people that don't think he shot him are pretty silly. and that dolly move at the end was great.[Edited on June 16, 2010 at 4:50 AM. Reason : ..]
6/16/2010 4:49:22 AM
^Please... there are 843 OTHER things he could do rather than KILL GALE. I understand that Killing Gale adds to the plot... I'm just saying I didn't believe it when he planned it.
6/16/2010 5:03:05 AM
He murdered jesse's girlfriend. and those slinger bros.how is murdering someone else out of character. It seems to be a surefire way to not have to run away from his life.It has always been about family.[Edited on June 16, 2010 at 5:22 AM. Reason : .]
6/16/2010 5:21:47 AM
Yeah, Walt's character started pure, but once he got deeper into the business he turned and became a menacing threat to anyone who stood in his way of providing for his family. I think its awesome. The change definitely is shown by how he changed his hair and grew the goatee. You may be able to argue that Jesse changed too, from wearing less and less druggie clothes and not wearing the beanie as much.^^So what could he have done to save his own life than kill Gale and continue making $blue sky? I can't really think of any at this moment that wouldn't involve killing the Boss, maybe killing the hit man, or something crawy like joining up with the Mexican cartel. And going to the cops doesn't count, he said he didn't want to go that route
6/16/2010 7:20:44 AM
6/16/2010 7:47:15 AM
6/21/2010 1:59:45 AM
^When did you start watching the show?Walt killed a dude and chemically destroyed his body in the second episode of the whole show.Gale's obviously the nicest dude they've killed so far, but it's no "leap" for them.
6/21/2010 2:14:25 AM
Its just an evolution of Walt's character in my opinion. Walt has killed before, but he's only killed 'bad' people. Know he's acclimated to the feeling and found it necessary to eliminate Gale one way or another to protect himself, his family, and Jesse (kinda?). Its a little bit of a struggle for him, but he knows it has to be done.Agreed, its a big jump, but not that huge.
6/21/2010 7:57:48 AM
breaking bad.... the point of the show.
6/21/2010 12:14:20 PM
hah
6/21/2010 1:19:35 PM
6/21/2010 4:09:34 PM
LOLhey i witnessed a deadly car crash but kept driving, murder i tell ya
6/21/2010 4:11:17 PM
I thought he was the one responsible for actually rolling her on her backnot technically murder, but Jesse would definitely see it as such if (when) he finds out
6/21/2010 4:13:35 PM
wow, this wizzkidd is a real tard.
6/21/2010 4:17:56 PM
oh, well maybe i'm mistaken ... i thought he just stood there
6/21/2010 4:18:22 PM
^^^That's what I said.
6/21/2010 4:25:06 PM
Walt witnessed her begin to vomit and choke. He could've saved her, but chose instead to let her die and get out of his way. I can't find it on youtube, but this is as close as I can get. Its pretty weak to not call him a murder because he held someone's life in his hands and chose to let them die.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6KbbsjC_IZY&feature=related
6/21/2010 4:46:42 PM
6/21/2010 4:51:20 PM
If he does indeed roll her over, that vid doesn't show it, and she wouldn't have choked on vomit if he didn't roll her over, and he would have directly caused it. Which I think I remember him doing. The point of that whole shit was that Walt caused the plane crash by causing her death.God what a retarded argument we are having. He killed her. He could have saved her. He has killed what, 3 or 4 other people as well.Killing Gale is not a stretch for him, in terms of writing. The end.[Edited on June 21, 2010 at 4:54 PM. Reason : .]
6/21/2010 4:52:03 PM
yall can equate "not saving" to "killing" in those terms if you want, but i shall nothowever i think everyone agrees on the scope of his actions
