I don't think it'll get accepted, but it's good for you

So, does any one think Strasburg will be in the starting rotation come spring next year? Ive got him for 5 years in my keeper league. I have been tryin to deal him in a package though, because ive got an outside shot at third this year. Perhaps i can get some one who would help me now.
7/6/2009 12:53:06 PM
With the Nationals, he will pitch in 2010. Spring? Maybe but I doubt it. If he is the real deal he will arrive shortly. I started Cueto, Millwood, and Jurrjens today and had Romero on the bench.

strasburg could be in the bullpen for the nationals right now, at the least

THERE ARE DAY GAMES TODAY YALLif not i like to check and make sure my guys are starting ^ at around 6:30 but since there are day games you gotta check earlier!]
7/8/2009 11:15:08 AM
Crawford and Pena are both out of the Rays starting lineup tonight
7/21/2009 6:53:48 PM
Berkman is also not starting tonight

What do you guys think about offering a trade of David Wright and Aaron Harang for either:Ryan BraunManny Ramirez and Brad LidgeAdam Lind and Alfonso SorianoAre they all fair? Should I ask for more than just Braun in that deal? Will they get rejected in a half a second?
7/23/2009 10:51:03 AM
OK so I offered those three and the counter was:Wright & Harang for Soriano & LidgeAny opinions at all? Maybe at least 1 response?
7/24/2009 1:27:07 AM
^ Fuck that trade unless you really need saves. Wright hasn't been hitting HRs this year, but he should do better power wise in the 2nd half than the 1st. Soriano is too damn inconsistent.
7/24/2009 7:30:36 AM
^^who would be your 3B if you got rid of Wright?
7/25/2009 12:44:51 PM
Didn't like this counter at first but it's looking better now. I lost last week due to a serious lack of run production and Soriano looks like he might be turning the corner. We have 1B, 3B, and CI spots. If I get rid of Wright I would be starting Konerko at 1B, Reynolds at 3B, and Blalock at CI
7/27/2009 3:56:09 PM
well Reynolds is certainly a solid play at 3B, at least he has been so far this year...26 HR, 18 SB, 65 RBI and 65 R iircI think Wright will continue to hit over .300, steal a bunch of bases, and hit a few homers, but Wright isn't going to approach the 30 HR mark, not while he's playing in Citi FieldI mean, Carl Crawford has 4 more HRs than Wright right now
7/27/2009 4:07:37 PM
Wright HATES CitiHe's Travis Fucking Fryman in that park
7/27/2009 4:18:34 PM
I am aware of how bad he has been this year, which is why I'm trying to unload him. Thing is, he still hits for a high average a steals a lot of bases. At the moment he's been a lot more valuable than Soriano. The thing to think about though is that Soriano might be turning some kind of corner right now, and Wright's BABIP is like .450 or something. No modern player has ever finished with a BABIP above .400...he probably will be the first, but he's definitely going to regress a lot.
7/27/2009 5:21:28 PM
His BABIP is partially so high since he has 6 HR's and HR's are the only balls in play that don't factor into the stat. I don't know what to make of that though. And what the fuck about my boy Franky Francisco. He has been on the DL for...pneumonia?
7/27/2009 7:36:28 PM
I picked up CJ Wilson earlier in the season for a week and then dropped him when Frank came back...bad mistake...next time he went on the DL a guy spent like $250 FAAB on Wilson...I bid like $27
7/28/2009 9:50:52 AM
Jason Schmidt appearances.......2-1 now.Is this guy worth a pickup over say a Cueto or Shields?
8/1/2009 1:12:44 AM
Alright fellas, I'm fresh off my bye week since I was the #1 seed and ran this shit (my league)anyway, my lineup is healthy (mostly) and I'm ready to win this week and make the finals, so i can win the league, and then focus 100% of my attention to footballhere's a question...tonight, I have a 1B spot and a Flex spot...and 3 players...Derek Lee, Lance Berkman and Mark Reynolds...which 2 do I run? I'm leaning towards Lee and Berk (been hot lately)[Edited on September 14, 2009 at 5:00 PM. Reason : .]
9/14/2009 4:59:27 PM
Peavy supposed to start Saturday...I'm thinking I'll drop Andrew McCutcheon to take Peavy off the DL...McCutcheon hasn't done much in the last couple weeks
9/16/2009 2:16:04 PM
Miguel Tejada not starting tonight...and Victor Martinez is still in Cleveland dealing with family stuff so he's not starting eitheris anybody else still even playing fantasy baseball? i know its football season but baseballs got the playoffs goin on
9/16/2009 6:47:45 PM
No I lost interest in my teams.....so did everyone else.I guess I need a more competitive league.
9/17/2009 12:26:16 AM
I must be out of it...apparently Chris Narveson and Bud Norris are good starting pitchers
9/23/2009 11:17:43 PM
I'm in the playoffs right now in a $500 league...because it's such a big payoff it's difficult to deal with the most important part of the season while I'm drafting for multiple football leaguesI limped into the playoffs and now my hitters are half made up of waiver wire fodder...my pitching is stellar thoughIf there's anything I learned this year: TRADE YOUR CLOSERS. More importantly, trade the hot ones which will get you the most back. I started the year with 3 closers on my team (Heath Bell, Brian Fuentes, and Brad Ziegler) ...I've since traded Bell and Fuentes away, but through the season I picked up Aardsma, Nunez, Marmol, and Gutierrez...I have more than I started with, almost lead the league in saves, and have a waiver claim on Thornton just so the other guys in the playoffs can't grab him (I hope). This closer thing is something I knew previously, but really drove it home this year.
9/24/2009 11:56:54 AM
I had a 6-6 tie at the end of last week but I lost ERA which is the 1st tiebreaker category...so I'm playing for 3rd place nowWhat sucks is I lost homeruns last week 8-4...then on Monday this week alone, on a short day, I had 4 HRs...oh well
9/24/2009 12:13:58 PM
In my league we do head to head weekly, but instead of going completely head to head rotisserie, we still use the full league rotisserie. This way you are still getting some credit for doing decent in categories, vs. either winning or losing that category. I like it better, and when you really analyze it, it probably doesn't make a whole lot of difference in who wins or loses.
9/24/2009 3:02:39 PM
Hey Scott Feldman...great time to have the worst performance of the year, right when I need you the mostYOU MOTHER FUCKER
9/24/2009 5:24:44 PM
9/24/2009 5:27:09 PM
^^he got smacked around by Oakland a week or so agoDidn't stop me from putting my W7 on the Rangers
9/24/2009 5:53:51 PM
^^ Essentially it's like this:1) We use general 5x5 rotisserie scoring like any other normal baseball league, only it tabulates on a per week basis, as opposed to the whole season.2) Since we play head to head, we take our total rotisserie score for the period and compare against the guy's score that we're playing. It's a bit difficult to explain, but it makes sense once you figure it out

ok tww... Championship Match-Up.We're basically even in most stats but the categories we are really battling in are W's and ERA. I am currently up 1 in W's and down barely in ERA. I've got 4 SP's going tomorrow (Robertson vs Twins, Maholm @ CHC, B. Anderson @ SEA, K. Millwood @ LAA) and he has 1-2. He's got 4 going on Friday and I have 1-2.I have 8 moves left until the max is reached and he has 9 moves left. We're pretty much streaming SP's from here on out it appears. We were a pretty "savvy" league so there's not much on the waiver wire as far as quality SP's go.But back to the point, I've got 8 moves left and I need Wins and Low ERA through the weekend. Who are some sleepers I should take a shot on? For instance, I think I may give Tom Gorzelanny a chance on Friday at home against the D-Backs.I have some guys slated to throw this weekend (Pettitte and Burnette @ TB, De La Rosa @ LAD) but I will need to add a few more SP's with my final 8 moves. help[Edited on October 1, 2009 at 12:18 AM.
