i don't keep score, but it was bad.

i had one par on the day, and a ton of triples+.

[Edited on July 29, 2009 at 10:43 AM. Reason : this was from the middle tees, and mind you i suck at golf.]

Played it on the 18th. It was the first tournament on the course. The course is alot of fun but it is difficult. It is in great shape considering that it is brand new. Stay clear of the sand traps though. Just a word of advice.

They are waiting for a big donor with naming rights before they build the clubhouse. I saw the design it looks sweet. It will be in the location of the current fenced in area where they keep the carts on the bottom of the driving range. It will be three stories with a grill overlooking the driving range. Sounds pretty sick. I will get some pictures up on here soon.

I played it last tuesday, very tough course. I enjoyed most holes, but thought the par 3's played short from the mens tees. I think 8 iron on #2 was the longest club i hit, and 2 of the other par 3's I used a gap/pitching wedge.

The bunkers are extremely difficult, with the islands of grass throughout the large fairway bunkers, you get a lot of screwball stances, and lies.

Fun course, and I look forward to playing it again with a little bit of local knowledge!

pretty cool to have arnold palmer talking about our course, hitting the first shot and making the wolf sign.

I know his people built it, but its still cool

^Yeh that is pretty funny actually. There is nothing like doing the rival school's hand symbol and having your design group build their course. I hope all of the Demon Deacon fans saw him do the wolf symbol.

except if you played the course you would realize took a giant dump on a piece of graph paper and decided to call it the front 9 of the LP golf course at NC State.

I played it today with a couple other guys (john kruk included) and it was fun

And I agree with everyone else that says it was tough... it took us 5 hours to finish up, and we were all drained when we were done.

Those bunkers were tough- I got stuck in the front of a bunker on 10 and it was about a 30 yard bunker rising up to the front of the green, with a pen placement about 10 feet from said bunker... so I ended up hitting bunker to bunker in the same bunker on that on

definitely will play again though... 35 dollar student to ride- and that driving range will be seeing me alot too (definitely closer than anything else)

Do they swipe your ID for the student discount? I have an id that doesn't expire until 2010 but am not currently active.

I just want to know if it's relatively crowded, or if there's a time I can go when it's not too bad. I'm not a terrible player, but I'm certainly no good and I worry that on a difficult course, I might end up with people behind me, which always fucks me up. I'd be down for going the middle of the week, just don't know if theres a decent day to go.

i had a 4:27 tee time on wednesday and tried to switch it to something earlier. they said they were booked up so we just played at 4:27. we got through 15 holes before it got dark due to a slow group ahead of us and a twosome that had gotten squeezed in between scheduled groups.

great course, you can tell it's going to look beautiful in a year when all the rough outside the fairways actually grows. Some amazing views, i think it's the 11th hole that has a picturesque shot of downtown. Can't believe all that land was there, you have to drive a good ways in between holes too.

i shot a 94, i play golf 4-6 times a year, i thought that was great for me.

Played in my company tournament there today. Great course...but hard as hell.

I shot a 80. Not terrible, but not one of my better rounds. I need to play more than 3-4 times a year.

I cant wait for everything to grow in. It's gonna be really nice. That 500+ yard par 4 was a killer...and the ~600yard par 5.

Played out there today. With the conditions I for some reason decided to play in today, it led me to question if I ever want to play golf again.

I played it over the summer with a friend, the course is beautiful, and defnitely a challenge, one of the harder courses I have played. Shot a 43 on the front with a birdie , back 9 started out rough but it got better, think I ended up with like an mid-low 80s...if would have not 3-putted a couple times and played consistantly on the back, I would have been in good shape. And yes #3 is a bitch of a whole, I got a 6 on it when it was a par 4...
