He's not a distraction. It's already been said that he'll be the backup if he stays with the Packers.

The last two camp, yes; this camp, no.Seriously though, 8 wins in 06, 13 in 07. This distraction is destroying the team![Edited on July 28, 2008 at 12:09 PM. Reason : ]
7/28/2008 12:06:46 PM
probably not the least bit distracting to Rodgers. Favre has really made his transition from college to the NFL a smooth one]
7/28/2008 12:12:15 PM
We can speculate about that, but neither of us really knows for sure.[Edited on July 28, 2008 at 12:15 PM. Reason : ]
7/28/2008 12:13:57 PM
Rodgers will end up being a better qb because he actually did what they should do and sit a few years and learn. If he was thrown into the fire when he came out of college he would have already been spit out of the league and into the CFL or worse.David Carr and Joey Harrington envy Aaron Rodgers.[Edited on July 28, 2008 at 2:31 PM. Reason : suck at spelling]
7/28/2008 2:31:02 PM
orrrrrrrrrrAll this frenzy created by Favre has the fans calling for Rodgers' head after the team is 2-4 to start the season. Seriously, how tough is this kid?
7/28/2008 2:37:41 PM
Fans are relentless anyway, if Favre retires 2 years ago and Rodgers went 2-4 they would have been calling for them to draft someone else. That is why it is so tough to be a rookie qb, the fans don't give you time, they want to win now.I think he is going to be a terrific qb, and I just don't think he would have if he were playing 2 years ago.
7/28/2008 2:47:25 PM
Oh I agree, but if Favre is waiting in the wings, and Rodgers has a shitty start then that is it for him there.
7/28/2008 2:58:55 PM
Rogers will never be a great QB in this league, not even top 10
7/28/2008 3:02:59 PM
He won't be waiting in the wings, after all this he is not going to be on the sideline, the Packers are a well run organization and they are smarter then that. Time will tell the type of QB he is, but if he is playing 3 years ago he has no shot, now, I think he could be decent. With that defense, some of the playmakers they have, might be good enough to win some games.
7/28/2008 3:15:39 PM
Looks like EA sports jumped the gun
7/29/2008 5:29:36 AM
its gonna be funny as shit to see him as a Viking this year]
7/30/2008 11:25:29 AM
I laughed out loud when I saw the headline to this storyhttp://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3511028it's just so crazy how far this has come
7/31/2008 3:05:31 AM
7/31/2008 7:41:35 AM
Yeah cause if Rodgers starts the season and they go 2-4 in their first 6 games, the classy Packers fans will continue to cheer on Rodgers and won't chant for Favre They're the best fans in sports though, thats why when the Jets were beating that ass a couple years ago at Lambeau half the stadium left in the 3rd quarterIt is funny to see all the anger and frustration from Packers fans lately though (ie ^)...they know the end is near with Favre, and they're already setting themselves up for disappointment]
7/31/2008 10:18:15 AM
What now?I really like Aaron Rodgers. I don't think I've ever made that a secret.
7/31/2008 12:19:03 PM
so apparently, according to espn.com, the Packers are seeking out a possible trade with the Vikings or Bears for Favre. this shit is crazy
7/31/2008 1:26:55 PM
Minnesota could be a top 5 team with FavreThey already have a top 5 defense and a top 5 running gameThe only thing holding them back is Travaris Motherfucking Jackson
7/31/2008 1:33:41 PM
thats what i have said all along they should doI dont see WHY they would do it with the bears or vikings, especially vikings, but o well.they wanted to get something out of him in value, and the terrible teams they were talking about trading with Favre didnt want to go and wouldnt have went. So now something good is on the table and he shows interest. He has played this PERFECTLY to be honest, more power to him. Doing everything right and by the book in my eyes. One more reason to love the guy. and I REALLLLLLY hope he goes to Minn.Jackson threw 2 picks in 7 on 7 yesterday. I could do better than that.
7/31/2008 1:33:55 PM
7/31/2008 1:37:27 PM
I think its pretty obvious why they were so hesitant trading him to a division rivalIts like if you break up with a girl, you want her next BF to be someone you don't know so you never have to see her againTrading Favre to the Vikings or Bears would be like dumping a girl and then having your best friend pick her up so you have to see them all the time
7/31/2008 1:39:31 PM
thank goodness the Packers already have said that they wont be doing the jersey retirement ceremony for Favre on the first game of the season this year. I'm going to make sure that I am watching the Packers/Vikings game this season (if Favre actually gets traded there)
7/31/2008 1:55:34 PM
Its the first MNF game of the yearI'd guess 95 percent of all NFL fans will be watching it
7/31/2008 1:58:17 PM
7/31/2008 2:08:29 PM
7/31/2008 3:06:40 PM
7/31/2008 3:26:58 PM
i'm ready for something to happenfavre apparently chartered a plane tonight from mississippi to green bay...whether or not its to go to camp, or sign some trade documents, who knows
7/31/2008 3:29:21 PM
yeah this really needs to end.
7/31/2008 3:49:27 PM
http://flightaware.com/live/flight/N70NBmost likely this is his flight.
7/31/2008 3:50:41 PM
oh gah, are you serious?not this again
7/31/2008 4:00:02 PM
i got $20 that says his plane goes down and puts an end to all of this.
7/31/2008 4:02:19 PM
then Manny Ramirez will leap into the air and give Favre's corpse a high five inside the airplane
7/31/2008 4:05:04 PM
he'll do it from his flight to miami.
7/31/2008 4:11:45 PM
soooo supposedly the packers offered Brett $20 million over 10 years to stay home and not be involved in anything.thats ridiculous.I hope that organization goes down in a blackhole of losing this year and Brett wins a superbowl, I think he has a lot of peoples backing on this and their support now.
7/31/2008 5:53:53 PM
If I was a Packer fan, I'd scratch my head at that. Paying someone 20mil over 10 years just to stay away? could use that money to get a good free agent a few years from now instead, and trade favre to get a pick or two. Can't hold the guy hostage if he wants to play football and has the ability, that just isn't right even if he did change his mind 50 times.
7/31/2008 5:57:39 PM
7/31/2008 11:31:26 PM
7/31/2008 11:35:52 PM
8/1/2008 12:24:06 AM
guess it was still offeredand it was the first anyone had heard about itso it had legs
8/1/2008 12:25:19 AM
It's just more fuel to the fire so that ESPN can make it through the next two weeks until the preseason starts.
8/1/2008 12:27:30 AM
so apparently Steve Smith didn't go back to Charlotte from Spartanburg, but he flew to Mississippi and sucker punched Brett Favre]
8/1/2008 2:31:36 PM
^When midgets attack?
8/1/2008 6:44:32 PM
I'm sure Favre is getting close to Smith's height as his elderly bones shrink and get brittle
8/1/2008 7:09:21 PM
id love to see smith try to catch a favre pass. if he cant handle testaverde strikes lol.
8/1/2008 7:34:15 PM
yeah Smith is horrible, I'm surprised he got 1,000 receiving yards last year
8/1/2008 7:36:21 PM
I bet a punch from Steve Smith would hurt a lot more if were wearing a large, gaudy ring of some sort.
8/1/2008 11:53:00 PM
wat
8/2/2008 12:04:26 AM
Smith is pretty small and weak like Quinn said...he probably wouldn't even be able to lift his arm if he wore a gaudy ring, unless he numbed the pain with Vicodin]
8/2/2008 2:46:53 AM
That makes sense why he'd have to punch someone while they were on one knee then.
8/2/2008 10:29:09 AM
