hahaha i am pretty frumpy. don't hate. in 7th grade i think i was only in....algebra? or is it algebra 2? i wasn't one of those kids that got bussed to a different school to take geometry. i'm not THAT incredible.
6/6/2008 2:15:24 AM
Oh, so now you accept being frumpy?
6/6/2008 2:16:32 AM
duh. i'm so plain
6/6/2008 2:16:54 AM
My school was lame...didn't even offer algebra to 7th graders. My whole 7th grade year of math I didn't learn a thing. I obviously didn't go to a great school.
6/6/2008 2:16:58 AM
So did you ever actually take the test and were prepared for it?
6/6/2008 2:17:07 AM
So you totally revaluated yourself since i called you frumpy and now you agree?
6/6/2008 2:18:37 AM
I like how it just got real quiet. You can almost hear a rat fart from a mile away.]

I was in algebra in the 7th grade, got kicked out for being too immature, then the same thing happened again in the 8th grade so I was like everyone else in 9th grade taking geometry. Damn how they waited until my senior year to do block scheduling. I took the sat/psat and all that Duke tip bullcrap more then than I did in HS. I think I scored 790 and 980. Never even took the official SAT and I have an associates degree, bachelors degree, and going for a masters.
6/6/2008 2:31:06 AM
SAT means jack shit./Thread
6/6/2008 2:32:50 AM
I bet if I took the SAT now I could get an almost perfect score.

If I got the chance to play tee-ball again, I bet I would be the MVP.

I thought doing well on your SAT's and getting a good GPA qualified you for some major scholarships. There was an article on MSN 2 or 3 years ago on why middle class kids got more scholarships, which of course got poor people up in arms.I don't know. I got into State, I am not at State to pursue my own thing, I may come back to State.

1410720 verbal690 mathI never understood why the verbal part has words in it that are NEVER used. Seriously, you don't even see them in esoteric articles in academic journals.
6/6/2008 4:43:11 AM
I didn't study and was high, drunk, and hungover all at the same time while taking the test. Regardless, I still scored a perfect 1600. Now I've one upped all you lying bastards in this thread.
6/6/2008 5:07:56 AM
Hmm, in 7th grade I got a 980; in 11th grade I got an 1180.I was however 3rd in my high school class, and our high school at the time was first in the county for academics. At best I think the SAT only establishes a baseline of probability of success in college.
6/6/2008 5:13:01 AM
1240 first try, 11th grade I think... did it drunk and stoned, didn't bother to take it againalso had the highest wake county asvab ever at the time when I considered militaryI've gotten much more dumb since then and still can't do math at all

is there anyone on here that has taken the new SAT?
6/6/2008 9:46:24 AM
1440went to State for engineering. paid my own way with jobs, scholarships, and luckily only a little bit of loans. I think State was a great choice. why go to MIT or Duke and graduate with 80,000 of debt? In fact, say I got a $20k a year scholarship to Duke. That's a big scholarship, but I'd still have to pay $20k more, about twice as much as NCSU.

I studied my math pretty hard because I was trying to get into NYU. Which I did accomplish, but came to NCSU for financial reasons. My 1300 GRE felt pretty sweet, since by that point I was of the "fuck studying" mindset.
