The North Carolina Commission of Indian Affairs is not satisfied and is demanding they be fired. Many gathered to protest on Wednesday. The speakers ranged from American Indian war veterans, to tribal chiefs, law students at UNC and a member of the General Assembly. "My fellow soldiers we do take issue extreme issue with these people," Jimmy Goins, an American Indian war veteran, said. The group is fighting comments Bob Dumas made Tuesday morning on Bob and the Showgram, referring to American Indians as lazy, among other things. Comments the group says warrants more than an apology and a three day suspension. "Their apology and three day suspension is a sham," Ronnie Sutton, the only American Indian member of the North Carolina General Assembly said. "The Lumbee tribe is committed to removing from air the hosts of Bob and the Showgram, not only for the Lumbee Tribe but for every ignorance filled word uttered on the air," said Candace Harke, President of the Native American Law Student Association at UNC Chapel Hill. The group called on all American Indians, and any others offended by the show, to boycott all Clear Channel advertisers until "Bob and the Showgram" is taken off the air. It was a passionate protest, but in the end, some said it will not make a difference. "It's a question of media business versus communications ethics," said Edward Funkhouser, a communications expert at NC State said. Funkhouser doubts the popular shock jocks will lose their jobs, instead he believes the show will get more attention and an even bigger audience. "

you'll notice that the people who "hate" it so much are the same ones who constantly whine about how nothing is funny
