the Broncos really need a DT in this draft, its too bad that all the top prospects are gone already, without a trade up the Broncos need to fill in with the next best player that fits their needs. Shanahan doesnt normally pick OT in the first, but with the retirement of Lepsis, OT seems fit. WR may be a need in later rounds as well.
Clady fits because he already uses a Broncos style zone scheme, so therefore

Denver Broncos: Ryan Clady, OT, Boise State

With the 13th pick in the 2008 NFL draft the Carolina Panthers select Derrick Harvey

I know the Panthers desperately need a left tackle, but John Fox is all about getting to the qb, and Harvey is by far the best all-around d-end in this draft.

With the 14th pick in the 2008 NFL draft the Chicago Bears select OT Chris Williams from Vanderbilt.

While local RB Rashard Mendenhall could be a tempting pick due to the lack of production last year out of Cedric Benson, the Bears desperately need to upgrade their offensive line. Williams is considered by many to be the second best tackle behind Jake Long, as some say he has a bigger upside than Clady or Otah.

With the 16th pick in the 2008 NFL Draft, the Arizona Cardinals select RB Jonathan Stewart (Oregon)

Ken Whisenhunt wants to run the ball a lot, but Edgerrin James can’t carry a huge load at this point in his career. Most teams have two rushers anyway and neither Shipp nor Arrington is capable of sharing carries with Edge. Stewart is every bit as talented as Mendenhall and slipped behind him only because of surgery for turf toe. Now word is out that teams in this range really aren’t very concerned about his recovery. The Cardinals certainly wouldn’t be dependent on him carrying the ball 20-25 times starting in week 1 and now have their new feature back. Watching Stewart run for 253 yards against a South Florida defense who knew he was coming cemented his first round status for me.

With the 17th pick in the 2008 NFL Draft, the Houston Texans select...

Antoine Cason, CB, Arizona

A top-notch corner could certainly help, as they don't really have anything beyond Dunta Robinson, who may actually miss the 2008 season in the wake of the torn ACL and hamstring he suffered in late December.

With the 19th pick in the NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles select Limas Sweed - WR, Texas

The Eagles pressed Randy Moss for his services this offseason, and rumor has it that they are dangling Lito Sheppard for Chad Johnson. Clearly they are thinking about adding a playmaking receiver. The depth in this year's Wide Receiver class isn't great, but Sweed is 6'5" and has pretty good potential. It may be a bit of a stretch here, but the Eagles don't want to enter this season with Reggie Brown and Kevin Curtis as the only potential threats at WR.

With the 20th pick in the NFL Draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select Jeff Otah OT, Pittsburgh

With need in the OT position and one of the "elite four" still available, The Buc's take this as a steal IMO. With other needs at WR, DT, and CB, i still see this as the safest choice, with Talib as the main other to be considered.

(and now to PM myself for the next pick)

With the 21st pick in the NFL Draft, the Washington Redskins select Phillip Merling DE Clemson

With a whole slew of needs, (WR, S, DE, OL, CB ... in my opinion) the skins will have many to look at.
I would believe them taking any of the following (not in order):

Malcolm Kelly* WR Oklahoma
DeSean Jackson* WR California
Kenny Phillips* S Miami
Phillip Merling* DE Clemson
Aqib Talib* CB Kansas
Dan Connor OLB Penn State

I say they go with Merling, he's a monster and will add alot of pressure to their defensive front.

BPA would be either Aqib Talib or one of the wideouts, but with the wideouts falling like they are right now, I say they choose an end and address the need for a WR in round two, where there should still be talent available at this rate. Aqib Talib is a rare talent and would have to be considered heavily, even though CB isnt their highest need.

With the 22nd pick in the NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys select Devin Thomas, WR MSU

The Cowboys were hoping to grab Cason or have Jonathan Stewart fall to them but settle for addressing their third-most position of need - WR. The pick is debatable based on the fact that WRs usually take 3 years to mature in the NFL as well as the fact that Thomas was a major star in college for only one year. However, the value/need ratio is there and Dallas knows the Titans need at WR could prevent them from taking Thomas with the 28th pick.

with the 23rd pick in the 2008 TWW NFL Mock Draft, the Pittsburg Steelers select Brendan Albert, OG from UVA

With the departure of Alan Faneca, the Steelers are looking to fixing their OL. They were estatic to see Brendan Albert still available.

With the 24th pick, the Tennessee Titans select Aqib Talib, CB Kansas

With the likely departure of Pac-man Jones, this solidifies the secondary. There are more glaring needs at WR and DT, but the value is too high to pass on Talib at this spot. If Sweed is still available, he is an obvious choice for a familiar weapon for Vince Young. Couldn't justify taking Balmer here.

With the 26th pick, the Jaguars take Kentwan Balmer, DT out of UNC. After getting rid of Stroud the Jags will need a little help. It hurts to put a UNC boy up here. However he is the unanimous pick for #3 DT.

I hope someone doesn't let this happen. That would be the first team that I could think of that a State player would go to and I wouldn't buy the jersey. I'm still fighting the urge to buy a Manny Lawson jersey since he's with the 49'ers.

With the 27th pick in the 2008 NFL Draft the San Diego Chargers select Gosder Cherilus, OT Boston College.

The Chargers seem to have a gaping hole at right tackle and Cherilus should fill that need quite well. The pick came down to Cherilus and S Kenny Phillips, but having just signed Hart to a deal, the Chargers go with OT as their first round pick.

In the actual draft I think the Chargers will do everything they can to trade this pick.
