for any other arod owners on here, it appears he'll be out til at least thursday
4/22/2008 11:33:05 PM
Dammit Joe Blanton....or should I say A's....lose on a weak fly ball like that. That was a costly drop for me.
4/23/2008 3:04:06 AM
now Carlos Guillen is getting some time at 3B...1B/3B/SS is a nice combo for a quality player like Guillen
4/23/2008 9:48:15 AM
i'm being offered a trade for braun/heath bell for vlad/okajima.It's a franchise league and that's the only drawback. If this were not a franchise league, I'd take it in a second.Braun is a great young player. Had a great year last year... but can he continue? Vlad has only hit below .300 like twice in his career. But he's 32.Okajima would be a great pick up, last years ROY, among other things. How do you guys see this?
4/23/2008 12:22:40 PM
^you do know okajima is 33 & vlad is 32 right? Not to mention that bell is more likely to become a closer for his team than okajima & the fact that braun has yet to even peakIf you honestly thought about accepting this trade then I have to assume you are bringing up the rear in your keeper league[Edited on April 23, 2008 at 12:33 PM. whats up with ryan zimmerman? i know it's still early but the dude is struggling and also signed a fat contract before the season started. hold on to him or drop him for one of the following? (8man league)blalockgordonencarnacioncredeyoukkouzmanoffkeppinger
4/23/2008 1:28:34 PM
EE .407 3 bombs last week
4/23/2008 1:34:13 PM
^^I would hold on longer none of those are proven stars....Blalock maybe. I don't trust the younger guys to keep up their pace like Gordon.
4/23/2008 1:36:40 PM
depends on if you think you can afford to wait him out
4/23/2008 1:40:45 PM
only thing is, being an 8man league it is very competitive. zimmerman is killing me right now, but he would probably come back and kick my ass for someone else later.
4/23/2008 1:42:42 PM
ryan howardWHATTHEFUCK
4/23/2008 10:30:05 PM
Hahah 2006 MVP right there even though he didn't deserve it then.
4/24/2008 2:36:04 AM
fuck you zimmerman, get your shit together.
4/24/2008 2:54:09 AM
I am about in the same boat as you at 3B with Braun....I picked up Garrett Atkins this week to start over him but I am still holding out hope that Braun turns it on. But for the moment Atkins is killing the ball.
4/24/2008 2:56:48 AM
i am tempted to drop zimmerman for encarnacion since EE is hot right now but i can see that one back firing.
4/24/2008 12:23:30 PM
i dropped bill hall for EE (i already have A-Rod)fucking bill hall6 homers this year, but he also hasnt gotten a hit in like 4 gamesCARLOS GUILLEN OUT OF STARTING LINEUP TODAY]

4/24/2008 8:56:27 PM
should i drop thome for mike jacobs? he's good for a homer every few games, but he's also batting .230 and is only available at utility. i could see jacobs hitting 40 homers this yearplus i've got howard, who's sucking choad at the moment[Edited on April 24, 2008 at 10:12 PM. Reason : .]
4/24/2008 10:12:06 PM
^i see it as jacobs being due for a cold streak, possibly a big one
4/24/2008 10:59:14 PM
May I borrow your crystal ball, ndmetcal?
4/24/2008 11:01:19 PM

4/25/2008 12:35:24 AM
is khalil greene going to ever stop sucking? his numbers were so good last year but he has been shit all season, should I just give up on him
4/25/2008 12:52:38 AM
he hit .254 last year..no, he has never been, and will never be good at baseball. defensively or offensively[Edited on April 25, 2008 at 12:55 AM. Reason : nice hair, douche]
4/25/2008 12:54:19 AM
^^Pick up Bobby Crosby, Renteria, or Keppinger if they are available...
4/25/2008 2:14:42 AM
yall don't listen to bjcaudill. he had delmon young 0-2 and threw 4 straight balls.
4/25/2008 2:43:12 AM
how's this for a trade? (keep in mind that guy who's getting lyons desparely needs a RP)UtleyFuck you do meKippingerLyonsfor B.J UptonARODJosh Hamilton
4/25/2008 7:36:56 AM
well hate to tell taht dude but lyons is probably the most hittable closer in the league (even though he hasnt shown it this year)... if you got him to take that, you would get a huge steal...Make that trade, then pick up brad lidge if he is still avaliable... also a great decision to trade utley while he is hot bc he will come back to reality and a-rod is much more consistent. bj and josh also rake.
4/25/2008 7:59:59 AM
i don't need any closerI've got lyons, sherrill, putz and hopefully rafael soriano coming off the DL soon (probably will be back later this summer though)
4/25/2008 8:10:59 AM
i wouldn't trade utley for arod straight up because you won't find a 2b CLOSE to his production. i think it's a bad trade.
4/25/2008 10:08:21 AM
I wouldn't trade anyone straight up for Utleythat's why I wanted to get AROD, BJ Upton (second best 2nd baseman), and Hamiltonas far as I see it:Utley > AROD Fuck you do me < HamiltonLyons and Kippinger < BJ Upton
4/25/2008 10:28:02 AM
i'm an utley homer, but i guess it does make sense...personally i'd keep utley though.
4/25/2008 10:50:22 AM
4/25/2008 10:51:15 AM
i have 10 batters and 12 pitchers...i have 2 reds pitchers...2 fucking reds pitchers...actually 3 if you count cordero...wtf is wrong with me...although cueto, volquez and cordero arent horrible
4/25/2008 11:00:43 AM
^^Well fine, I'll just say yes, you should give up on him. He had a career year last year, nearly doubled his HR production. There are at least 10-12 other starting SS options better than him, so if you're in a 12 man league I guess somebody would have to have him, but I wouldn't expect anything out of him much like I wouldn't expect a whole lot out a 11-13th best catcher..but having him on the bench for a backup might be ok, depending on who your other SS is[Edited on April 25, 2008 at 11:19 AM.
