2/28/2008 6:37:30 AM

2/28/2008 12:02:54 PM
If you ever have kids, I hope you NEVER drink around them.
2/28/2008 12:09:49 PM
wtf i cant see myself typing that bloggerishly if i were that drunk.....all i know is i am not drinking again to june at earliest....i dont think i woulda used the period and ! in a post if i were that drunk[Edited on February 29, 2008 at 1:54 AM. Reason : .]
2/29/2008 1:54:26 AM
lol, until june? That's a long time to not drink.
2/29/2008 3:23:05 AM
she got her training leash off and now has a regular collar/leash! the old one like kinda was almost more of a dog diaper than anything...it like had one strap that went behind the front legs in addition to the part around the neck
2/29/2008 6:02:10 PM
3/1/2008 2:33:12 PM
we got her some goat milk today for her bones
3/1/2008 11:24:32 PM
so anyways...mommy has been out of town since saturday....omg her behavior has dramatically improved....she hasnt used the bathroom inside except for when i put her in mommys room at night...woke up today and she even dookied on her puppy pad(usually goes right next to it for some reason)....anyways....she likes goat milk.....her dinner is now a treat thats cut into like 15 pieces, a cup of some healthy ass organic type dog food, and a half a cup of goat milk...she hardly barked by herself in mommys room last night either [Edited on March 3, 2008 at 12:35 PM. Reason : oh and i walk her like a mile a day now and play with her..she likes fighting a teddy bear][Edited on March 3, 2008 at 12:36 PM. Reason : oh and masking tape works as a muzzle for 10 minutes, then her saliva makes it come off]
3/3/2008 12:34:40 PM
hahaha there's no way you actually tape your dog's mouth shut.
3/3/2008 12:42:23 PM
You underestimate DNL
3/3/2008 1:05:26 PM
it was just an experiement...it ended up working, but only for 10 minutes
3/3/2008 1:08:04 PM
^I'm glad.. that's terrible
3/3/2008 3:20:15 PM
not really...she didnt even bark much after i put it on...lol...anyways....i'm gonna try to walk her daily now....she wouldnt eat her food earlier so i walked her and then she made sure to eat when i offered it to her[Edited on March 3, 2008 at 3:28 PM. Reason : she is knocked out now...sleeping like a baby]
3/3/2008 3:28:13 PM
haha...no you're right. It's not terrible to tape an animal's mouth shut.
3/3/2008 4:05:48 PM
so in the past 2 days we have successfully played fetch 3 times
3/3/2008 11:21:01 PM
3/4/2008 4:29:38 PM
What would you say about a stubborn ass dog that shits everywhere everytime you put him in a crate.. does fine outside and is being pretty decent about potty training otherwise
3/4/2008 4:31:32 PM
well if he's already house-trained...i'd recommend to quit putting him in the crate.
3/4/2008 5:59:41 PM
Well the whole point is he isnt house trained completely yet and does especially bad when we leave him home alone...I mean he'll poop 5 mins before we leave, put him in crate, come back in 10 mins and he's crapped everywhere--everytime. I could understand if I was leaving him in there for like all day or something
3/4/2008 6:02:36 PM
sebastian has been a devil over the last two days when i've been to work. yesterday i came home to find my bedsheet in tatters and today he's pulled the bed all across the room, slid the mattresses off and chewed through a bit of the boxspring what amazed me is the bed and frame are reasonably heavy...but he's moved them around easily.i'm going to put him in his crate from tomorrow...any thoughts? i've found that once he gets used to a room, he really goes to work tearing it apart. did that in the living room and now the bedroom. i suppose i'm going to count down the days to when he chews through the crate![Edited on March 4, 2008 at 7:25 PM. Reason : ][Edited on March 4, 2008 at 7:25 PM. Reason : da dum]
3/4/2008 7:23:55 PM
i hope you punished him for doing that and put him in his crate
3/5/2008 11:45:04 PM
What part of "punishing them (hours) after the fact does no good because they don't know what they've done wrong" don't you understand? Also, you're not supposed to punish dogs by shoving them in their crates.
3/6/2008 8:53:17 AM
*carl face*
3/6/2008 8:56:19 AM
haha...tell me about it. That's how I feel.
3/6/2008 8:57:02 AM
seriously though...that one dumbass that had his apt ripped through shoulda had the dog in a crate...wouldnt have happened then
3/6/2008 8:58:58 AM
That's true. Keeping a dog that's not ready to be out of the crate IN the crate is the way to go. I kept my dog in a crate while I wasn't home for a good year or so.Now, she doesn't tear things up, and she can hang out in my apt while I'm gone for 9-10 hours a day at work. But that's different than punishing a dog by putting it in a crate. THAT'S what's bad. Not the crate itself.[Edited on March 6, 2008 at 9:02 AM. Reason : be]

It kind of sounds like your dog has separation anxiety especially in your case sleepyhead. Talk to your vet, they may have some supplements, or medicine related treatments you could take advantage of. Also, it wouldn't be a bad idea to consult with a trainer or behavoirist. I've heard a lot of good things about Teamworks.http://www.dogtrainingraleighnc.net/specialty_classes.htm
3/6/2008 10:39:38 AM
he follows me everywhere when i'm at home so i guess that's a possibility seachel. i put him in the crate while i was at work the last couple of days...it wasn't to punish him; i just needed to prevent further damage to my property [Edited on March 6, 2008 at 6:12 PM. Reason : ]
3/6/2008 6:11:12 PM
mine just drank a half cup of goat milk after she took a pee outside...i put her in the crate....aint letting her out til at least 8...shes got to learn to hold it...2 hours is not that long
3/6/2008 6:16:58 PM
shes been chewing on this roll of masking tape right? well she just freaking figured out how to unwind the tape...she just ripped off a 6 inch piece of tape.....wtf they dont even have opposable thumbs
3/7/2008 7:31:28 PM
she can get her paw inside the cardboard part and as long as her teeth get a grip on the tape it's easy.
3/8/2008 12:49:36 PM
put it this way...if i were to unwind it like she did...i woulda had to look for the tear and peel it away
3/8/2008 2:16:52 PM
I bet she likes her mommy more than you, DNL.
3/13/2008 9:11:52 PM
shes better behaved when mommy is gone lol
3/13/2008 9:26:07 PM
cause 1) she' scared outta her mind and 2) has her mouth taped shut
3/13/2008 9:29:53 PM
she takes advantage of mommy
3/13/2008 9:30:38 PM
she respects mommy for not doing that crap to her
3/13/2008 9:32:39 PM
mommy hardly even feeds her anymore
3/13/2008 9:34:28 PM
she knows where the food is
3/13/2008 9:35:32 PM
cause joshy feeds her
3/13/2008 9:36:05 PM
she still loves mommy more
3/13/2008 9:39:08 PM
mommy doesnt punish the puppy enough....she makes joshy do all the punishing
3/13/2008 9:40:35 PM
maybe mommy does punish her, just not as cruely
3/13/2008 9:42:49 PM
its ok, you are a woman
3/13/2008 9:43:33 PM
Back on topic.. sorta. I found this program for low-income families (if you make under $13,00 for 1 person home you qualify). It's called the $20 fix. You send in an application for this and if you're approved, they mail you a voucher for a spay/neuter for each pet you have and it will only cost you $20 for the procedure. You can also donate to them by registering your MVP card: https://www.foodlion.com/IntheCommunity/ShopandShare/secure/RegisterMVPCards.asp by selecting AnimalKind. More info on the $20 Fix at http://www.animalkind.org/fix.html.
3/18/2008 4:11:36 PM
i think she has to shit...gonna make her wait til 9
3/20/2008 5:50:52 PM
sure would be nice if the dogs owner was home
3/26/2008 2:45:19 PM
got a hypothetical...if a dog is in a cage so long because of the owner will that dog get so thirsty that it will drink its piss therefore causing it to vomit? what about eating its shit if its been in the cage a long time?
