I love how edwards was still on ballots. Right now with 84% of the precincts reporting in kansas he was 21 votes. Next up is clinton with around 6900. I wonder if those 21 people even realize how sad and alone they are.

MSNBC (just done) estimation on delegates. This can of course change due to results in CA for example:

Obama 584, Clinton 526

McCain 400-650 delegates
Romney 170-428 delegates
Huckabee around 200 delegates

Paul's best finish tonight is Montana, where he's 2nd behind Romney.

Yeah Clinton is winning in just about every county in CA so far...unless the early precincts are not a good sample then it shouldn't be close.

But even with Clinton winning California, in my opinion this is definitely Obama's night

Obama didnt do anything that he wasnt suppose to do, yeah, Clinton won the states she was suppose to and he did the ones he was suppose to, no REAL suprises, the two states Obama supposedly took from Clinton they will split the delegates. It will be interesting what VA does....and they keep talking about how the donors for Obama havent maxed out....duh, they arent going to be able to max out since most are college kids who cant afford too.

Anyways, off to bed.

It would of been Obama's night if he won CA, NJ or MAS and he didnt.

I think MO, CT, DE, and having so many crushing victories in the caucuses and the states he was expected to win are what give Obama the night.

No one predicted (that I saw) Alabama by 15%, Colorado by 30%... MN was supposed to be close but he won by 30%. He's up 80% to 16% in Idaho at the moment

close night for the dems...going to go a long time...nc might actually get to vote on this one...obama has a lot of money left and has raised more than clinton, could be very close and he will win missouri. Obama also has good states coming up for him in louisiana and va. and md. Ohio could be interesting too as it is coming up as well.

unfortunately mccain is going to win since romney and huckabee are canceling each other out, seems to me we are watching whether or not hillary or obama will be pres.

^^^^ all democratic states are doing that...basically it ends up if one candidate wins 60 to 40 they will get 60 percent of the delegates even though it is not exact. They take the percentages in each district and allocate delegates accordingly. But it ends up about the same as the state average. For example obama looks like he will win missouri but he will basically split the delegates with hillary since the vote is 49 to 48.

California is currently reporting in about 70%, looks like Clinton is up 53% to 40% right now... and apparently 5% of voters (about 150,000 right now) in the state are stubborn/dumb/apathetic enough to do a write-in for Edwards.

Not many delegates, but he is winning there. Clinton obviously got California (West Coast /= West), Nevada, and Arizona which have very different demographics. Nevada and and Arizona are full of transplant retirees, kind of like the Florida of the West. New Mexico appears to be a tossup.
