well favre will at least have a couple extra days to heal up and keep his iron man streak alive. my guess is he starts the next one.

It is pretty sad that this guy Rodgers has had to rid the pine because Favre pulls his Roger Clemens I am going to retire, I am not going to retire shit ever year. This kid could easily start for about 10 teams right now including our Panthers.

It was one game, dolt. You can't evaluate Rodgers on that. Kellen Clemens and Trent Edwards looked pretty good in their debuts, too.In case you missed it, Favre has been having an awesome year. No one wishes Rodgers were out there except for his family and idiots.[Edited on November 30, 2007 at 1:25 AM. Reason : .]

yeah rodgers is sitting, but he has a pretty sweet deal when favre really does retire. that will probably happen after this season. in the meantime, rodgers has been able to improve his game and get ready to potentially be their franchise qb of the future.

^exactly what i was thinking.Rodgers has the single greatest job in football, being the backup to brett favre .in the last decade we have seen what happens to new rookie QBs who get thrown into the fire having to start their first few seasons. the guys like Alex Smith, Kyle Boller, and even David Carr get so rattled that success is almost impossible. I could see this being Carr's last season in the nfl period.Yes, there have been several rookie success stories but over all letting Rodgers sit, study, and learn from one of the best in the business will have priceless rewards for him and the packers in the future.

I am sure Rodgers, a first round pick loves sitting on the side helping calling in plays. How is that dumb? I mean we were all pissed when PR was sitting and Brees was playing.
11/30/2007 12:28:13 PM
i'm sure he'd love to play, we aren't saying that. but making the money he's making and being on a team that's playing that well. you can't tell me he's content with his positioni'd rather be rodgers over Alex Smith, kyle boller, kellen clemons, cleo lemon, and probably 8-10 other QB's out there[Edited on November 30, 2007 at 12:46 PM.
