I love the shift though. I feel like we're going to start seeing much more on the revealing side as well as this whole new flash forward aspect, which is a major addition. As for the coffin, we know it's a man (based on the article Jack has) and it's not a friend or family. I'm feeling that it's maybe Ben or Sawyer, but I really don't know, that's just my best guess right now. And what if Jack's dad is Jacob? What would that mean for the series? Just watch mobisode 13 and tell me that those shoes they focus on, and that tie, are not on Jacob.

The person in the coffin had to have been someone from this new group coming onto the island. It's hard to explain, but if they are keeping everything hush hush about the rest of the 'survivors' then it's got to be someone who they thought would have people show up to their funeral.Anyways, what happened on that Eli show? My DVR caught the end of LOST where the flight attendant for Oceanic came on and said "Also, please wait for an announcement from Oceanic during Eli _______ " but then the DVR stopped shortly thereafter.

what's up w/ the THEY NEED YOU pictures at the top of this page? i don't remember that scene...
2/1/2008 10:37:40 AM
then for some reason you don't remember the scene where hurley freaks out in the prison cell and why he ended up back at the mental institution
2/1/2008 10:44:46 AM
so was the ghostly figure Hurley sees when he looks into the cabin Jack's father? Does anyone know where to find a screencap for that image? Also, was it Locke who came face to face with Hurley as he was looking through? Everything there happened so fast.

^ read the damn thread--
2/1/2008 10:52:23 AM
i don't remember hurley ever being in prisoni do remember water coming through the 2 way mirror in the interrogation room, but maybe i looked away or something when THEY NEED YOU was shown...
2/1/2008 11:12:45 AM
the "they need you" was such a short split second that you can hardly see it...thats why i posted the pic, and prob why u missed it
2/1/2008 11:25:44 AM
thank you.

Time for my wild ass guess as to the final end of the series: Jack and maybe some of the other "Oceanic Six" that do want to go back to the island (it's obvious that Hurley and Kate didn't want to) end up finally getting back there. They join Locke and whoever stayed behind. They live in the houses/community that the Others lived in and eventually they become the new "Others" to anyone who has the misfortune of crashing on the island.Theories on the Oceanic lawyer that came to see Hurley? My gf claims that when it showed his shadow walking out the door, he looked "smokey" and I was like 'OMG WTF!!??" thinking it was somehow the smoke monster, but I rewound the DVR and it looked like a regular shadow to me. Anyone else see it looking extra "smokey". I'm thinking this dude works for Dharma or Jacob and is obviously trying to get Hurley back to the island. As for the Oceanic 6, I'm thinking that a pregnant Sun and Claire's baby will be of them since it seems tragic enough that Jin would die (probably protecting Sun/some other people) and maybe Claire would get some kind of terminal wound and ask Sun to raise Aaron.

anyone checked out http://www.find815.comI spent way to long on it already, let me know if anyone finds anything remarkable, though the whole site looks fun and lends to some pretty weird theories.

ok i dvr'd eli stone so i could see the lost commercials. i forgot.the commercial consisted of various attractive women dressed as flight attendants talking about how oceanic will take you to places you've never imagined to go or something like that, advertised flyoceanicair.comflashes of a guy w/ an australian accent popped in and out saying "we shouldn't trust them" and something about how flight 815 is missing. if you go to the website they show a similar version of the commercial but with mostly the australian guy talking. he references find815.com
2/1/2008 1:08:38 PM
there's a big-ass sign in times square that says "find oceanic flight 815" or something along those lines.

I thought he said Neither. But that doesnt really tell us anything. Hurley denied knowing Ana Lucia last night to her old partner. Maybe the Oceanic 6 don't admit anything island related to those back in society.[Edited on February 1, 2008 at 3:36 PM. Reason : clarification]

i missed it[Edited on February 1, 2008 at 3:40 PM. Reason : fuck]

My guess is Sawyer is in the coffin....i just get that feeling.
2/1/2008 3:54:43 PM
my guess is its walt in the coffin. it was in a black neighborhood and the coffin was small. michael will be back this season, mark these words.
2/1/2008 4:10:04 PM
Walt being in the coffin doesn't make much sense, especially based on Kate's comments toward Jack questioning why she would go to this person's funeral and Walt's character as we know him now. Micheal would be more likely just by how he stabbed everyone in the back to get Walt back. I really believe the person in the coffin has to be someone that at the very least Kate detests. I don't see that being Sawyer, Kate told Jack when they were speaking at the airport that she had to get back to 'him'. Assuming that 'him' is the guy she is now with, it could be Sawyer or some other dude she has hooked with now.[Edited on February 1, 2008 at 4:24 PM. Reason : .]

the guy in the coffin has to be someone unexpected. They mentioned a traitor in the commercials or smthg didn't they?
2/1/2008 5:16:35 PM
I could see Kate really beginning to hate Sawyer at some point in the future...he's still my call.
2/1/2008 5:20:23 PM
i think its either ben or someone we have not met yet in the coffin...its the only thing that makes sense to me...and maybe he is upset because he thought this person would help him get back on the island (as he was trying so hard to do in the season finally of 3)
2/1/2008 6:11:36 PM
the popup video thing said the coffin guy was someone from new york living in LA. was anyone other than michael supposed to from NY?
2/1/2008 7:33:43 PM
i remember seeing a close up of the newspaper clipping about the guy who died in the coffin...the last name was lantham or something like thathttp://bp0.blogger.com/_RrObyQ3XzcY/RlUe-1YihSI/AAAAAAAAFkw/ucINFuG1jfo/s1600-h/newspaperclipping2.jpg[Edited on February 1, 2008 at 7:38 PM. 2/1/2008 7:37:09 PM
lockes in the coffin
2/2/2008 1:58:29 AM
James Lanthom (Sawyer) or John Lanthom (Locke)....both would make sense... but I still think its one of the new guys to Season 4
2/2/2008 2:41:40 AM
it appears that ?antham is the last name b/c it says "The body of jo?......?antham of new york was found"
2/2/2008 3:11:23 AM
ABC just devoted like a five minute commercial slot with a long synopsis of what happened in the first two seasons, and will spend another five later on describing 3 - present. Seems like a neat show. Worth buying DVDs for?
2/2/2008 10:37:50 PM
definitely, or at least Netflixing them
2/2/2008 10:55:37 PM
^^ yeah definitely RENT or buy themits really nice to be able to watch the next episode right away when youre like WHAT JUST HAPPENED?

2/3/2008 11:58:25 PM
has anyone figured out what the voices in the wind are saying when hurley finds the cabin in the jungle? i've watched that part a few times, but i cant make out exactly what they are saying, maybe someone on one here has stumbled across something on one of those crazy lost forums that i dont go to and rely on you people for.
2/4/2008 4:24:33 AM
At first I wasn't too keen on the idea of the flashforwards, I didn't think they would be all that interesting. But now the thing I want to know the most on the show is what changes in Jack to get him from not wanting to talk about the island to being obsessed with getting back.
2/4/2008 5:59:00 AM
^^That reminds me of another question that I (and most likely lots of others) have that is still to go unanswered. In the past few seasons right when the Others were about to attack or show up and a few other times (right before Shannon was shot), there was whispering. And when Sayid first escaped from Danielle in the first season and he was running to the beach, he heard the whispering too.
2/4/2008 10:06:08 AM
its either the others, or an island effect, or an island effect caused by the presence of the others or some other entity
2/4/2008 10:28:35 AM
i think it was just done for dramatic effect. much like when the survivors had whispering precede them before they showed up at the wreckage
2/4/2008 10:30:26 AM
I think it's more the island getting in your head, altering what you see hear and experience.
2/4/2008 11:31:50 AM
Does this make any sense....The guy asks Jack if he is friend or family when he walks into the funeral home, and I am just wondering, not being racist, if that rules out the guy in the coffin being black (Michael or Walt).
2/4/2008 12:17:31 PM
yeah, i think that mostly makes sense, unless the funeral home guy was being fully-PC and thinking maybe of a white brother-in-law or something. But i don't think we'd need to read that much into it
2/4/2008 1:03:30 PM
So if we go by that, and what else we think we know- Small-ish coffin- White guy- Not friend or familyCarl?
2/4/2008 1:29:11 PM
at this point, i think Ben is the makes the most sense to be in the coffin. he is sort of small, he doesnt have any family that would show up to his funeral, kate wouldnt show up, Jack could be upset because Ben knew the most about the island, and was possibly the best one to help them get back.
2/4/2008 2:53:50 PM
Maybe Ben's legs got cut off or something and that's why the coffin is so small. I know it's a long shot, but that coffin was the size of a child's.
2/4/2008 3:06:49 PM
I just don't see Ben leaving the island to die in LA...and how could he be from NY? His parents were hippies that were from the west coast as far as I could tell(guess).Even with the coffin being small...I'm guessing Sawyer, even though it makes no sense. Maybe Locke lost his legs(fo real this time).
