Ok, you are saying that human embryos:chicken embryos. Since pro-lifers assert that the human in utero should have the same basic human rights as the born human, by your logic pro-lifers would assert that pre-hatched chickens should have the same rights as full grown chickens. Full grown chickens don't fall under the protection of basic human rights.

And what does that have to do with how pro-lifers feel about various gods (ignoring the fact that pro-lifers come from varying religious backgrounds)?

Even electric spotters (I am assuming that is what you are calling those shiny light things) do not catch everything, blood spots come out in eggs pretty frequently. To assume that any process is 100% proof of any error is just absurd, especially with how many eggs are sold in grocery stores.

You don't get it. Chickens that are used in commercial applications are kept away from roosters entirely: they simply cannot have fertilized eggs. Those blood spots are "caused by the rupture of a blood vessel on the yolk surface during formation of the egg or by a similar accident in the wall of the oviduct. Less than 1% of all eggs produced have blood spots." The only reason they use the spotters at all is to check for blood spots.

for being less than 1% i've certainly had more than my fair share of blood spots in my egg yokes. I've also frequently have found 2 yokes in each egg.

^ I never stayed on our egg laying side much, but yeah you would be surprised how many get thrown out just for blood spots and still show up in the grocery store (not sure if you have to throw them out though but we always did), and 2 yolks is pretty common.

Interesting, I guess its standard procedure now to fertilize every hen on a poultry farm by hand, and also to throw away the eggs that don't get fertilized
