at #22, keep an eye on the SG from Rice. if memory serves, he scored 26+ ppg, shot 40%+ from 3pt and took ~9ft per game. Sounds like just what the doctor ordered for charlotte (assuming they don't get brewer or young or someone else at #8). You heard it here first
5/25/2007 11:11:41 AM
what about the guy from UCLA or Tucker from Wisconsin? If we were to have Portlands spot then you are saying that everthing in the world would be the same. A million things would have happened different and they would not have done the numbers at that exact moment in time.

ATTN: Bobcats fansyou need to get over the organization drafting players from the University of North Carolina or you need to find another teamthat is all(BrandanWright wont be there at 8, but if he is, they will take him im sure)
5/25/2007 1:08:43 PM
Either Wright or Brewer would be an absolute steal at #8. I'd take either one of them at #3 personally.Adding two relatively inexpensive rookies this year is going to help our cap situation even more but I hope we don't botch it by signing or *gasp* trading for Rashard Lewis
5/25/2007 3:40:21 PM
which Wright are you talking about?
5/25/2007 3:49:59 PM
BrandanWe need a big man badly and we also need a scorer, something Julian won't provide at the next level.Sorry for the lack of clarification
5/25/2007 3:52:23 PM
5/25/2007 3:52:42 PM
There's a good chance Brandan goes to Memphis, and along with Gay they would have the longest arms in the history of basketball
5/25/2007 3:54:40 PM
Ced and Tyson down in Nawlins have some long arms

I haven't really looked at any mocks.. Just meant I don't think he is a first round talent... Smooth shooter but not terribly explosive and doesn't get his own shot. He might fit in well with a Detroit or San Antonio off the bench I guess though..
5/25/2007 4:00:26 PM
Wouldn't mind the bobcats taking Afflalo at 22 if for nothing more than to hear Matt Devlin butcher his name every night
5/25/2007 4:00:56 PM
http://nbadraft.net/ has Brewer going to CharlotteBut it also has B. Wright going to Atlanta, which would probably cause the city to implode.
5/25/2007 4:06:48 PM
i dont want afflalo he didnt show up in the final four either year.Tiago Splitter would be worth a shot, particularly if we don't go big at #8[Edited on May 25, 2007 at 4:23 PM. Reason : a]
5/25/2007 4:22:42 PM
I bet they take McROBOTS at #22.
5/25/2007 4:26:10 PM
id have to call this worst case scenario
5/29/2007 3:31:59 PM
^wow
5/29/2007 3:54:29 PM
If the Bobcats draft Noah, I'm gonna have to go take a dump on MJ
5/29/2007 4:03:21 PM
damn maybe I misjudged Derrick Byars http://youtube.com/watch?v=oHg5SJYRHA0
5/29/2007 4:18:43 PM
if they draft noah, then next year go to vegas and bet on the ugliest player on the board for their pick
5/29/2007 4:31:54 PM
there is no way ATL drafts Wright. why no love for julian wright?
5/29/2007 6:19:55 PM

6/3/2007 10:59:01 PM
^ awesomeWe also hired the Warriors GM as our new GM
6/4/2007 8:35:50 AM
some dude called into the Morning Sports Page this morning named Bill and was asking all about Devlin leaving...I swear it was Devlin calling in
6/4/2007 10:16:35 AM
please god say it isnt so
6/5/2007 8:09:45 AM
Fuck Noah and Fuck this marketing bullshit....let's start winning. You know if you have a winning team you usually draw fans.
6/5/2007 10:28:09 AM
most wins from a 3rd year franchise EVER...i'm pretty sure we're on the right track
6/5/2007 10:30:11 AM
How many drafts are the Bobcats going to go through before they start looking for guys that will help them win games, instead of guys they think will "draw fans"? Use a lottery pick on Noah. We might not be able to field a starting 5, but we'll make sure Emeka Okafor has plenty of likable backups. Green, Julian Wright, and even Al Thornton would all be better picks.
6/5/2007 10:41:25 AM
calm down guys, its just a fake mock draftand i dont want noah either]
6/5/2007 10:43:40 AM
noah
6/5/2007 10:44:41 AM
meh[Edited on June 5, 2007 at 10:45 AM. Reason : must still be drunk...]
6/5/2007 10:44:55 AM
^^^It wouldn't worry us if the Bobcats haven't shown us they are foolish enough to do it.I want to be a Bobcats fan, I really do. Until management keeps shooting the franchise in the foot, it's gonna be hard.[Edited on June 5, 2007 at 10:46 AM. Reason : ^]
6/5/2007 10:46:34 AM
i think the only pick that was really a stretch to sell tickets was May...I think Felton was about the best player available and we thought Morrison would do better than he has done so farI hope to hell we don't get Noah
6/5/2007 10:49:13 AM
I want Al ThorntonIf Julian Wright or Corey Brewer arent thereI say take Green but Id rather jump and grab Thorntonwe should look at trading the 8th and 22nd to move up or get veteran leadershipI hear Washington is shopping Jamison, he would be a better pickup than Carter if they had to bring a UNC guy in.
6/5/2007 11:15:49 AM
6/5/2007 5:42:05 PM
jamison doesnt work for us, we already have too many swingmen and an aging vet who doesn't play defense doesn't really fit our systemif we let Wallace walk its probably because we've decided to go with Rashard Lewis which i think would be a mistakeI actually dont hate Noah at all. We need a big man badly and we need rebounding badly.... if we get a scorer through free agency and a decent PG with our other #1 pick id consider that a decent offseason given the circumstances.Noah could easily be the next Varejao type energy post player
6/5/2007 6:24:36 PM
i dont mind noah cause he's high energy and can do a little of everything. so much of basketball, especially nba, is just wanting it, and i think he will. there are more talented guys we can get at 8, but it wouldnt be the end of the world to end up with noah imo.
6/5/2007 7:02:05 PM
Noah just seemed like he used half of his energy celebrating and then they'd have to sub him out every 5 minutes^i realize that determination is important but so is not being exhausted in the 4th quarter
6/5/2007 7:11:19 PM
Wow I thought I was dreaming when I read this
6/7/2007 8:20:20 AM
or maybe setting a smokescreen to force the Hawks to take Conley at 3, thus giving us a better a chance at Brewer or Wright?I'm probably giving Bernie and co. way to much credit--they're not clever enough to hatch a scheme like that.
6/7/2007 1:41:26 PM
thats what I started thinking as I sast here pondering ithopefully that will make them jump because if they want Conley then theyd better grab him at 3 because the FBucks are taking him I bet
6/7/2007 1:50:11 PM
we need to somehow get it out there that we want to draft every player except Brewer
6/7/2007 2:10:34 PM
6/7/2007 2:21:14 PM
Looks like Jeff McInnis wont be back next year!http://www.charlotte.com/209/story/151104.html
6/7/2007 2:58:55 PM
hahaha no I would say notId rather have Ford on the bench than McGinnis playing
