^which is known as filling in left-over plot holes that they have no idea what to do with. it would have been better to have just had to Black Pearl set to explode and kill the damn thing after it ate jack in the last movie. would've been a better way to go out for something that was supposed to be so damn feared.

I think the Kraken was killed off fine. Lord Bennet made comment to how he can control the ship just as he made Jones kill his "pet". Just showed how powerful having the heart really was.

I liked it, though a little long. Good Visual effects. Its interesting to note that Will is still capable of marital relations every 10 years. They definitely set up a stand alone Johnny Depp Pirates movie. I know Orlando Bloom said he is done with the series and I am sure Kiera Knightley is done since they show her having a child 10 years in the future. Did Will and Elizabeth's child resemble the kid from the hangman's noose at the beginning of the movie?
5/28/2007 9:47:24 PM
^kind of resembled, but definitely not the same child...

i really liked it! I kinda forgot what happened in the 2nd movie so i was slightly confused...but I still liked it

Getting to bwn once every 10 years? All I have to say is that Keira must be the lay of the century.

^ the flying dutchman was much more powerful than the kraken
5/29/2007 10:47:43 AM
true, except against the wind the Pearl was the faster ship
5/29/2007 10:54:06 AM
^^meh, I'd take a zero effort monster over a go out and risk your neck and search the sea for them boat any day.
5/29/2007 11:38:39 AM
^ what risk, the crew of the dutchman were pretty much invinsible
5/29/2007 12:13:07 PM
Oh, well it's been a while since I've seen it. Still not a good excuse to get rid of one of your better weapons though.
5/29/2007 12:31:01 PM
I thought it was a fantastic movie. Not quite up to task as the 1st one (which is hard to do) but much better than the 2nd in my opinion. I also didn't have a very hard time following the storylines, though figuring out what side Will Turner was on proved hard at times. I watched the 1st & 2nd movies the night before going to see this one, so that might have helped.
5/29/2007 1:39:49 PM
The first one was a good adventure movie, but I saw no reason for a sequel. Number 2 was enjoyable though. At almost 3 hours, I don't even really want to see this one. Is it worth it?
5/29/2007 4:07:51 PM
If you dont want to see it, then its probably not worth seeing then is it?Its not going to make you fall in love with the franchise or anything if thats what you're asking.
5/29/2007 4:09:28 PM
He'll find the fountain of youth in the fourth one, then take Keira to it so she can enjoy will for eternity.

5/29/2007 7:14:48 PM
^I'm not sure about against or with the wind, but it's mentioned a few times that the Pearl is the only ship that can catch/keep up with the Flying Dutchman
5/29/2007 7:32:37 PM
Saw this tonight and don't see how with that the series could be over.Definitely going to be a 4th one and I will sure see it. I have actually liked all 3 so far.
5/29/2007 11:56:18 PM
Kiera Knightley said she wont do a 4th movie. She was 17 when she started filming the first and is now 22. She wants to move on to other projects.[Edited on May 30, 2007 at 12:38 AM. Reason : though there could be a 4th, im just saying she wont be in it]
5/30/2007 12:38:12 AM
eh, it was aight. nothing to shake a stick at.
5/30/2007 1:36:56 AM
i figured if they did do a 4th, then kiera and orlando wouldn't even need to be in it...i feel like they've wrapped up that plotlinethey could have a bunch of new characters...like spaniards and new world-era tribes
5/30/2007 12:44:06 PM
wow, that was good, i havent seen the first 2 and still enjoyed the crap out of it.
5/31/2007 9:35:51 PM
^if you liked this one... please do yourself a favor and watch the first one... not necessarily the second one... just the first
5/31/2007 9:42:56 PM
yeah i had low expectations and was pleasantly surprised, so i may watch the first
5/31/2007 9:45:40 PM
I'm thinking back to seeing it last night, and the biggest thing that confused me is why the hell did the Lord of the Navy just let them destroy his ship? Did he realize he couldn't fight back, or was it something else?Oh, and I was disappointed that Keira wore so much damn clothes in this one, no boobies at all.
6/1/2007 8:47:01 AM
Yeah, when you have the Black Pearl on one side and the Flying Dutchman on the other, you can pretty much kiss your ass goodbye. I think he is also realizing at that point that he has lost control of the Dutchman, which was really the only way he was as powerful as he was.
