he has a pool house? where are you all seeing this about his house?
2/28/2007 12:44:55 PM
what kind of hypocrite preaches global warming and then pays money to heat his outdoor pool
2/28/2007 12:46:17 PM
Its dumb from a pr image standpoint, but i like the idea that you dont have to live like a hippy and can offset your use
2/28/2007 12:47:56 PM
^^^ Uh. . .ABC News.
2/28/2007 12:58:40 PM
Is anyone actually surprised by this? Did y'all assume g0v Gore lived in a mud hut or something? The rich consume more, regardless of their political views.
2/28/2007 1:02:02 PM
oh, i thought someone had a picture. a pool house may not be that much of an extravagence
2/28/2007 1:02:12 PM
^ Man, STFU.And offsets--usually planting trees--doesn't do shit. So says National Geographic:Planting forests to combat global warming may be a waste of time, especially if those trees are at high latitudes, new research suggests.

AL GORE IS NOT A HYPOCRITE, I DONT SEE WHY YOU COULD EVEN INSINUATE THAT HE IS, I MEAN WHATS HE SUPPOSED TO LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX
2/28/2007 1:21:42 PM
you do realize why he pays so much more right?and no, its not just because he uses more
2/28/2007 1:23:27 PM
^^ Yeah, and every time these fuckers ask for evidence and you give it to them, they keep moving the line. Apparently, the truth really is inconvenient. [Edited on February 28, 2007 at 1:25 PM. Reason : .]

2/28/2007 1:30:38 PM
So, I guess this is a non-issue?
2/28/2007 1:30:52 PM
so if you're rich and can afford to buy your way out of the pollution you create it's ok?

2/28/2007 1:39:04 PM
what the hell are you talking about
2/28/2007 1:39:46 PM
btw not to burst your bubble...but when we've renovated buildings I've called Duke Power and asked for power bill histories on those buildings to get an idea of how much power we would be using during renovation, etc...so its not like its some kind of top secret information how much you spend with public utilities
okay, so, you can't read? gotcha
2/28/2007 1:40:27 PM
I'm sure if we would sign the Kyoto Protocol and participate in the climate exchange markets, then perhaps there would be an economic incentive to find a way to curtail emissions. As for now, theres no incentive to reduce carbon emissions. Free market environmentalism might be the answer.
2/28/2007 1:41:14 PM
I just dumped a fuckton of dioxin in the river--but it's okay, I planted a few scrub trees! ^ Give me the Kyoto Protocol; I'll burn it in my fireplace to heat my townhome--naturally.[Edited on February 28, 2007 at 1:44 PM. Reason : .]
