^ well, in my one anecdotal example, mormon chicks are all about it.
3/5/2007 4:53:12 PM
It all depends on the girl.
3/5/2007 5:02:47 PM
haha ... good questions ...You can order the underwear over the phone, or at local church offices that distribute materials for regular church needs, such as sunday school books, ect.Birth control is definately used by most couples I know. I dont know a single one who believes that birth control is off limits.Anal sex ... cant say im interested ... but Ive never been told its bad.

As for what it looks like, you can see it in this picture:Oooh special ... looks like an undershirt and boxer briefs from afar.http://www.thewolfweb.com/photo_photo.aspx?user=12144&photo=185099[Edited on March 5, 2007 at 5:58 PM. Reason : .]

So what are your thoughts on missionaries?I know a few high school friends that left for the 2 year thing and aren't back yet.I've thought about sending a letter, but I heard that they get censored or something.I also heard that when they get back from a mission trip, they pretty much expect to get married right after.
3/8/2007 11:07:32 AM
I think the stigma attached to those who do not serve missions needs to disappear. Write your friends letters and send them directly to their apartments. They are not censored or anything like that. And yes there is pressure to marry young in the mormon church.
3/8/2007 2:45:54 PM
I used to hang out with some Mormons back in the day. There were like 7 or 8 kids in that household from toddlers up to high schoolers. They were very serious about religion, but they were cool.
3/8/2007 3:15:40 PM
Great thread, and nutsmackr, thank you for your insight into this. I thought this would turn into a trainwreck, but lo and behold, some cool questions and answers.
3/8/2007 3:28:31 PM
censored?? haha - thats hilarious...Who would censor them? You generally mail them to their front door, dont you?Anyhow ... Yeah, like I mentioned, throw a few letters their way. They would enjoy catching up with you. Many do get married pretty soon after they get home... (I mean, if marriage is your only way to get laid and have a clean conscience, you might too) -- I waited until last year ( I was 25) so that wasnt the case for me so much, although i guess many here probably think 25 is young.
3/8/2007 3:32:10 PM
I'm not sure where I heard the censored thing, but it made sense to me at the time.I know they can only call home like once a year (mother's day, if I recall) and as result have limited communication with their family. It might be wrong, but I heard this explained as a way from keeping them from getting homesick, and so their families can't ask them to come home early or something. That's how the letter censorship made sense to me. If a missionary got a letter from the girl he left behind he might be tempted to quit the mission early or something.I know of at least one family in my town that was torn over this. The guy, a few years older than me, basically converted because his girlfriend was mormon. Then he reached 19 and went on a 2 year mission against his family's will. His mother was pretty mad at the deal, and I know that the guy's friends hated that girl for stealing him away.He gets back this month, but the funny thing is that he is probably expecting to pick up where he left off with that girl (a friend of mine) who is now "in a relationship" (facebook) with another mormon guy (also a friend of mine) who just left on his own mission trip this summer. So basically, the non-mormon guy abandons his family and converts to make his gf happy, and then leaves on a mission trip. And while he's gone, the girl falls for another mormon-raised guy.Sad story.
3/8/2007 3:52:27 PM
Hes in luck then ... mormon returned missionaries are well knowned for winning over girls that are "in a relationship" with guys that just left. Hes got 2 years to get things back to normal, and since he is older, that other guy will go to the curb.Just watch and learn the ways of the mormon world I sorta did the opposite. Dated this girl when I started college, she was at meredith. I met her the first week of school, and then we dated until I left Jan 2nd, after the semester. We wrote for a few months, and it was still cool and all, but as time went on, not being able to talk was a huge problem for us. I called her while my "companion"(fellow missionary) called his GF, who wasnt a member.Anyhow, to keep it short, we stopped writing, she dated a few people here and there, but then when I was about to come home decided that she wanted to marry me or something. I wasnt having that, and when I got home, started dating this other girl that I had previously dated in HS(who I eventually married)So, some girls wait around, others dont... but in the mormon world, most returned missionaries who are not socially inept can score well with the mormon ladies. As for nutsmacker^^^^^ There isnt as much "bad image" or whatever for those that dont go on missions anymore, as there are many who dont these days(my brother is one who hasnt). Its still considered a commandment for the men to serve, but no one hangs it over your head if you havent.[Edited on March 8, 2007 at 4:07 PM. Reason : ^]

I think the missions are a horrible idea. Its horrible to rip kids away from their families like that. Also, while the guys are off they are constantly hitting on the areas girls. I know, I lost my ex to a sent home missionary. Sometimes religion needs to take a back seat but when its ingrained into every waking moment it makes it hard not to run ones life.

Wow i have a question.I havent read the thread so maybe its already been asked but i dont know.I heard a LONG time ago that Mormons wear special underwear. Like its made of wool or something. Is that true?It was a believable source but ive never had anyone confirm it
3/8/2007 5:33:02 PM
3/8/2007 5:34:54 PM
haha special in very very small ways (physically). Its more symbolic underwear than it is "magic"As I mentioned somewhere, just imagine a white hanes undershirt, and tight white boxer briefs, halfway down your thigh. I think mines a cotton poly blend, although they have them in many makes and models
3/8/2007 5:37:10 PM
what women wear is worse though.
3/8/2007 5:42:49 PM
You have piqued my curiousity. Please tell.

^^Basically the same thing as the men, but made out of a worse fabric and sags at the chest for titties.
3/8/2007 10:57:54 PM
do mormons have small penises?
3/8/2007 11:01:23 PM
I have a few questions...1) Do mormons truly believe that Jesus walked on earth in the Americas after he did in Israel, and when?2) Where do they say the original gold tablets that god cast for Joseph Smith reside?3) How could the many wars between the main 2 factions (indians/caucasions) have happened in northern north America without any proof or remnants of wars, and how is this explained to the general mormon?4) How does the association with Battlestar Gallactica come into play with the mormon church?

It's a complete polyester material for the women and yes it does have the tittie areas. I can't see how it would be comfortable.and it is very unattractive.how can you say it is similar? You are lying my friends.[Edited on March 9, 2007 at 9:28 AM. Reason : .][Edited on March 9, 2007 at 9:29 AM. Reason : .]

3/9/2007 9:30:39 AM
I wont feel quite as bad now when I dont answer the door if I know there are mormons there
3/9/2007 9:38:50 AM
haha ... thats got to be from the 70s or somethingMine dont look like that, and if I cared enough I could show you online somewhere the different materials that are options.
3/9/2007 9:41:49 AM
so you wear women's garmets? you might want to talk to your bishop about that.
3/9/2007 9:43:08 AM
and temple garments haven't changed since 1979. sure the men might have crew necks available etc. But they are still the same.
3/9/2007 9:47:54 AM
