Quinn:it's alright man. just face the facts:I asked a simple question in this thread, not directed at anyone. You jumped down my throat and acted like you had the answer, when in fact there is none.I know people like you, I've met them in real life. You are all the same. You should really find more creative outlets for expressing your frustrations and insecurities.[Edited on November 7, 2006 at 5:44 PM. Reason : d]

Holy shit.Did he seriously go "TONS OF PEOPLE USE MINIDISCS" and then post a link to a Google search for "MiniDisc"?Are you shitting me?While you were searching, I made the 86 million pages on MP3s, the 375 million for iPod, 135 million for CD...I also made the 19 million pages referencing a Sansa, which is a product that has existed for under a year, yet somehow has more Google pages than this product you swear hasn't failed over the past X years of existence.A Google search to prove something didn't fail? Seriously, you're fucking with us, right?

Its hilarious because his only claim to minidiscs being "widely" used are concert recordings.Which by the fucking way, probably have been done on Iriver's since the start of the 21st century.

^^ you ARE a sucker if you buy a plasma.talk about shitty tech...

If you have 6K to blow on a big screen, pretty much anything you get is going to be money as hell. The argument is going to be between a 1080p 52 inch LCD, or a 72 inch 1080p DLP.The Sharp AQUOS LCD 52" runs about 4K and it's true 1080pSamsung's 52" LCDs are around the same priceSony BRAVIA XBR LCD 52" is a little more (~6500) but you can probably find a deal to drop into your price rangein the projection tv'sToshiba makes a few 72" models under 5K that are 1080p DLP'sSony's 70" SXRD is right at 6K and another good choice

Anyways...New TV is very nice.Whats the deal with the occasionally channel flickering - with speed ups in between flickering on FOX HD channel sometimes? Anyone seen this?

Blu-Ray isn't actually "shitty" tech.

shrug, they had an olevia 32" widescreen for 550 on a 1 day buy.com sale so id say its a bit over priced.
