Reports are saying NBC ordered six new scripts of the show so at least a second season in some form will be happening. I could see this going like a miniseries next season (6-12) episodes as some sort of midseason replacement or special event.

i love this show.

What the crap kind of finale was that? So is he staying or leaving?
4/11/2007 11:38:06 PM
I know, that kinda pissed me off. I hope that this will be renewed in the fall.

Yeah that ending was kinda a letdown. it sucks too, after such a great last couple months of episodes going out like that. maybe they'll follow the coach at TMU AND the dillon panthers. maybe Street takes over. maybe the coach just stays, riggins fails, and the whole cast is back again. who the hell knows?on a side note, did anybody else think that Devil Song they played at the end was weird as hell?? the music was good but it was about devils and vampires. i was trying to see the analogy but didn't quite get it. great show though. one of my favorites. here's to hoping for a season 2

i'm curious, what was the name of that song?
4/15/2007 12:21:22 AM
it was just talkin about a town. i dont really remember all the words, but it made me think about coach taylor and dillon when i watched it.
4/15/2007 1:06:42 AM
The song was Devil Town originally by Daniel Johnstonsung by some dude who isn't nearly as cool as Daniel Johnston
4/15/2007 11:05:32 AM
why isn't Conor Oberst as cool as Daniel Johnston?
4/15/2007 11:11:41 AM

And the show has been moved to Friday's at 10pm. Friday's have the stigma of having terrible numbers as far as viewers go but one more season of FNL is good enough.
5/14/2007 3:16:39 PM
Well here is the thing. NBC has low expectations for Friday, just like all networks. If FNLs keeps its current fanbase and can pull a 2.5, they will be very happy about this. Personally I think Friday at 10 is a good TiVo time, or time to watch after you get home from going out to eat or something. 8 or 9 is too early on a Friday night to be home at all. 10 is more plausible. I'll probably always be Tivoing it.

Just an idea, but maybe they are going for the Friday Night Football crowd. This could become a ritual for people to come home and watch the show after a game.
5/15/2007 10:14:58 AM
^^ i thought about that too, but then i thought that when i played football i'd come home and watch all the football highlights on local news. so who knows what'll happen
