whatever this whole situation is stupid as shit, and is going to result in a complete mess come game time. just another thing to add to my list of fun shit that has been ruined while attending ncsu.

motherfuck!i just tried to claim my ticket, but nothing happened. checked my email and apparently I didnt win the lottery and I'm on the waitlist. my perfect streak is over.what are the chances of me getting a ticket via the waitlist?
9/29/2006 7:46:39 AM
^^ Totally. It'll de-clutter the lines and give folks who actually like the endzones/section 15 the chance to sit there.
9/29/2006 8:12:10 AM
well, I forwarded that idea on to sg people to see if they want to think about it...but you all are welcome to do the same...sbp@ncsu.edu
9/29/2006 8:34:36 AM
^^^ I'm waitlisted too, and I had a group of like 10 people sign up under me. fuck!
9/29/2006 9:00:41 AM
hell yes, finally got a ticket to see FSU
9/29/2006 9:05:04 AM
Yeah I got waitlisted with a big group tooSo much for being a senior huh
9/29/2006 9:07:57 AM
I got my ticket, now its just a matter of deciding when to head out there...
9/29/2006 9:34:39 AM
i got waitlisted toofigures that out of all the games to NOT get tickets for, it'd be this one
9/29/2006 9:36:36 AM
you'll probably get a ticket...since people said that they will be giving up their tickets since they don't want to wait in line
9/29/2006 9:44:05 AM
claim period seems to be broken...website says its active from early this morning (3am) until tomorrow night, but It will not let me claim a ticket.
9/29/2006 9:57:14 AM
that means you probably didnt win. I had no problem claiming mine. And they seriously should have left numbers on the ticket, cause all of those GAs look awful.
9/29/2006 10:04:40 AM
I can't believe this shit has spread all the way to the Observer. So what if someone pissed in the stands, just shut the fuck up and tell a cop and have that person removed. This whole situation has turned into nothing but campus politics and it's bullshit.http://www.charlotte.com/mld/charlotte/sports/colleges/15633266.htm
9/29/2006 10:05:08 AM
oh, that spread a lot further than charlotte...try the east coast
9/29/2006 10:06:51 AM
ah the east coast isn't far.
9/29/2006 10:11:36 AM
9/29/2006 10:25:09 AM
so basically, im going to get a shitty GA seat to the FSU game, great
9/29/2006 10:34:57 AM
^it's only shitty if you make it late^^
9/29/2006 10:41:12 AM
are they checking people more strictly as the enter the stadium?
9/29/2006 10:43:38 AM
The only people that this policy pisses off are the ones that want to get drunk before the game. I'm sorry if it's too hard for you to decide between watching your school play in good seats sober and watching your school play in bad seats drunk.
9/29/2006 10:45:18 AM
personally, if I hadn't already volunteered to help at the gates, I woudl drink at home and have a friend bring me to the game...so I could do bothand yeah, they have been checking people more strictly this year, and it has kept a lot of weapons out of the stadium...there are the normal things like box cutters, fixed blade knives, and then there's random things...one guy had a wine bottle cork screw rigged to be a fixed weapon
9/29/2006 10:54:12 AM
ALL THEY NEEDED WAS COLOR CODED WRIST BANDS LIKE YOU GET AT CONCERTS FOR EACH SECTION!!1111changed way to much
9/29/2006 10:56:30 AM
ok so i clicked request ticket yesterday...today it says claim ticket but when i clicked it and went to "your tickets" it said i didnt have any in the account?how do i get one?honestly i dont plan on using it, i was just gonna try to claim it and give it to a friend or some good looking broad to get brownie points
9/29/2006 10:57:03 AM
are you using IE or Firefox?
9/29/2006 10:57:37 AM
I got a ticket, i'm going to go wait in line now!And this policy doesn't piss off just the people that want to get drunk. I don't want to go into the stadium an hour and a half before the fucking game. Have a little foresight too, think about the first game of the year in August next year, when its 1000 degrees out. Enjoy sittin in that heat for an hour and a half before the game.I've yet to hear anyone who is happy about this. I just want to sit in the new endzone(which was practically empty last game) and be left alone with my 50 person block.
9/29/2006 10:58:33 AM
^^^^no...we wanted wristbands, but because of the fact that wristbands really would slow the lines down, and would still allow people to losely attach them so you could slip them off and hand them to friends, it was shot down by campus safety and operations^we actually have gotten about the same amount of response supporting it as against it...but of course there's no reason why people would support something on TWW...and they're working on the minor change that may make all this work and allow you to choose your section (priority given to those who get there early, but you would get to choose a section)...and I sat out there in 1000 degree heat in august to get a front row seat in 112, so I know what it feel like...and if you can't stand the heat, then you aren't dedicated to getting a good seat...tough[Edited on September 29, 2006 at 11:01 AM. ^^^firefoxsoon as i clicked claim tickets it just goes to the top of that page and doesnt load anything
9/29/2006 11:00:28 AM
If nobody wants to sit in the stadium an hour and a half before the game, then you should have no problem coming a lot later and still have quality seats, right?
9/29/2006 11:00:57 AM
DNL, try IE.
9/29/2006 11:01:39 AM
ok one more thing...what if i do this but dont have a printer?its not one of those only opens once type things and i have to have a printer right?
9/29/2006 11:03:19 AM
hmm, well if you have XP I think you can "print" a MSI document which you can then send to another XP much like a PDF file and print from there.
9/29/2006 11:03:59 AM
9/29/2006 11:04:46 AM
^^sorry to post again, i edited my last comment after you postedman i really think this ticket system is overly complicated on purpose
9/29/2006 11:05:29 AM
When you click on print ticket, it'll open up a webpage with the ticket on it. You can open it as many times as you like. I always just click file, save as so I'll still have the ticket in case the system craps out at the last minute.^did you use firefox to request?V it's just an html file. I save it and open it in word. That way I can delete all the unnecessary writing and the ad.[Edited on September 29, 2006 at 11:09 AM. Reason : ]
9/29/2006 11:06:31 AM
o yea the ticket is just a PDF anyway, isn't it? just save the PDF
9/29/2006 11:07:07 AM
^^yesgod i hate firefox and cookies, and firewalls and fucking online ticket systems [Edited on September 29, 2006 at 11:08 AM. Reason : ^thanks...guess i'll do that on the "in demand" phase]

so you have to choose between heat stroke or a bad seat? it is sad that a system couldn't be created that pleases more then "about the same amount supporting it" which to me sounds like not even half the students. this whole thing is just a result of the students that were so desperate to sit in section 7. if people weren't so damn obsessed with sitting there we wouldn't need to go through all this.
9/29/2006 11:09:15 AM
c'mon, a heat stroke? go stand in the shade; you've already got your "priveledge". and basically, if other people are willing to have a heat stroke just to have better seats than you then they deserve it.
9/29/2006 11:11:02 AM
^^correct, it is because of those students^bingo
9/29/2006 11:12:55 AM
Well, there is no real excuse for the vomit, but if people are going to puke in the stands there is little a ticket system will do about that. But the pissing was a result of the overcrowdedness(is that a word?) of section 7. So people sneak their way into section 7, they close off section, people don't want to leave because they can't get back in, thus they stay at seats and piss. that is the series of events, so i restate my point that this is just a result of students that couldn't just sit in their assigned seats. we are just getting closer and closer to having no tailgate. this just cuts it down another hour, i'm sure the administration loves the idea.

yeah, I made the suggestion today to use each of our 4 gates for each of the four section areas we will now be stamping...waiting to hear back from security about their willingness to help direct people....if you walk that through, you will basically have some seats left in each section even w/ 30 minutes before kickoff, because some people dont' like 7/8, some like other sections more...if they are allowed to choose other sections, then that leaves seats open in every section for groups to coordinate and come when they canbut as far as security goes, the people who are working our security from now on have been certified as professional security guards, and have been trained to be as efficient as possible...I agree that that is where the bottleneck occurs, and we have all mentioned that...they are working on more staffing for more lines, etc, to speed that process up, but I never know how that will work until we see it on gameday[Edited on September 29, 2006 at 11:56 AM.
