what's bad is that is a huge red flag for more serious personality problems to later emerge...they may not, but I'd be cautious

I was always the type to pay for my g/f in most situations just because I've never been one to spend much on myself and she never asked for much anyway, so it worked out. When dating early on, we'd pay seperately and I've never heard anything like that come from her. nearly 5 years later, we're engaged to be married in August

Basically I would sit down and talk it out; this is a problem that won't just go away. It's a personality issue and not likely a moodswing issue. I realize girl's like to be cared for and paid for, but there's a limit to everything. If yall can't work this issue out, watch out.
