My work pays for roadrunner, so what is the cheapest I can get digital cable for on top of that, and do they separate them out on the bill?i figure 44 bucks for roadrunner, and then maybe 40 per month for digipic 1500 comes out to about the 85 that was quoted above. Is that accurate?

i really want to get DVR but i cant find anything that has a deal going on right now i got RR and digipic 1000 for $87 for 12 months
9/20/2006 6:44:02 PM
Shouldn't dvr just be 7 bucks on top of that?
9/20/2006 6:49:11 PM
sweetjust about two weeks in, my dvr hard drive has died
9/20/2006 10:09:37 PM
I've had rr and digital cable for about a year now. Any chance to get some of what I am currently paying knocked off?
9/21/2006 1:47:28 AM
Time warner rates are on the exponential scale. After 6 months, the retroactively increase your bill based on x^2 plot vs time.
9/21/2006 9:42:27 AM
^^Just like cell phone companies, if you threaten to leave them, they magically become willing to lower price.
9/21/2006 2:10:44 PM
I havent seen our bill yet, but my roomate said its like $40+ a month each for 4 people....the 3 month bill is like $500. We dont get much over basic service with dvr and RR
9/25/2006 8:37:08 PM
^you and your roommates got screwed
9/25/2006 9:35:42 PM
well, its in a roomates name who is out of the country....and I havent met him, so when he gets back I guess we will change it up and put in someone elses name......I have no details on what they are charging us for, it was said at once that we had digital phone, but theres no dial tone on it and no one uses it.
9/25/2006 10:51:11 PM
just got standard cable and rr for 69.90 plus tax.decent/cheaper than last time.
9/27/2006 3:35:58 AM

10/19/2006 5:31:22 PM
Any other specials on just digital cable (other than the 39.99/12m. one they advertise on TV)?
10/19/2006 11:25:00 PM
10/20/2006 12:52:58 AM
TWC??
10/20/2006 8:02:11 AM
^^yea, had that happen to me too. the customer service lady explained that generally they dont let you sign up for one promotion after another. once a promotion ends you have to take the higher price or actually cancel for a couple months and re-sign up.

I returned 1 hd dvr, 1 std dvr, and 2 hd boxs...they didnt care one single bit.
10/24/2006 4:05:43 PM
If you don't mind switching to DSL1) Call Phone Company and haggle for best promotional deal2) Call Cable Company, tell them you are canceling, when they ask why say you are switching to DSL, if they ask why say because its cheaper. If they give you a promo, take it, if not you've already haggled with phone company
10/25/2006 1:44:55 AM
btw Digital + HBO + Roadrunner + Fees + Box + Remote = $87.58 UP IN HURR that's going up to about $1C soon though

1/17/2007 3:54:59 PM
If you signed up for digital cable, you're supposed to get standard on the other tvs without digital boxes, right?
1/17/2007 4:05:09 PM
I made the switch to Direct TV.155 channels (including the NFL network and ESPN U!) for $34.99 a month.
1/17/2007 4:13:47 PM
how was this not locked?100 for cable hbo hd dvr & on demand channels and road runner.[Edited on January 17, 2007 at 4:17 PM. Reason : .]

^^^All the outlets in my house get standard cable even though I only have digital in one room. Should be the same for most places as the line from the road to the house should get tied into all the lines in the house. Usually.
1/17/2007 4:19:04 PM
We seem to only get the first 13 or so channels on our other tv even though we pay for digital for the main tv. I guess I'll be calling them about that.
1/17/2007 4:27:26 PM
1/17/2007 4:30:12 PM
I get 1500 and road runner for 71.35/month. Even more PWNT.
1/17/2007 4:33:07 PM
yeah.. i dunno i just asked for those things and this is what i pay.
1/17/2007 4:37:17 PM

1/17/2007 5:31:42 PM
1/17/2007 7:26:01 PM
So is the best solution to call and tell them you're switching to Direct TV? I might do that, they're taking too much of my money these days...
1/29/2007 2:47:12 PM
Can you get digital cable on just about any tv? My tv is not HD equipped but its not that old either.
1/29/2007 3:14:25 PM

10/4/2007 11:21:55 AM

10/4/2007 12:13:13 PM
AAAHAHAHAHAHATHIS GUY IS RETARDED!LOL
10/4/2007 12:20:01 PM
this deal (the one mentioned on the first page of this post)has been dead for a long time. pretty sure that number just patches you into the main sales line
10/4/2007 1:16:00 PM
My cable bill just jumped from $90 a month to $140. What the hell? What can I do about that?
10/4/2007 9:12:20 PM
your promotion period ran out.cancel the account. wait a day or two or something, then have your roommate/significant other sign up in their name under the promo pricing. repeat...
10/4/2007 10:22:11 PM
^^ i had the same dealthey said the best they could give me $124 ( i didnt try cancelling it though)
10/4/2007 11:45:03 PM
Ours is $82.something, for the same combo as the dude in the very first post, digital cable, one dvr box, and full RR. Service has been good so far (3 months). Just gotta remember after the 6 months to cancel and resubscribe on the package deal.
