not truethe unsharp mask you can do with an 8 meg is a lot better than you can do with a resized versionohand heres a tip that helped my final productdon't just automaticaly go from like 2800x1240 in one steptake it in at least 4 or 5 steps or so if you really care about keeping the crispnessand then run a lighter unsharp on it again at the end of the processshit will be crisp as hell yo

interesting points there -- i was always told to do resizing in one fatal swoop, not staggered-ZiP!-

meh, my computer is fast enough that i do all my edits at full res now (of course, i only shoot at about 4mp)and save a fullsize copy and then an internet sized copy
3/27/2006 12:56:31 PM
can you guys explain this whole "resizing in stages" thing a little bit more? i mean, what causes the end result to be crisper?thnx!-ZiP!-

I really like the composition of your photographs, especially the gigantic fucking signatures in the corners.
3/31/2006 7:19:28 PM
Borders and conspicious signatures are tacky and take away from a photograph.
3/31/2006 8:23:15 PM
3/31/2006 8:25:55 PM
That will work perfectly until the day somebody invents cropping.
3/31/2006 8:27:49 PM
rofl, so true.watermarks are the only way, but it makes the pic gheybut for real it's only like a 640 res version
3/31/2006 8:31:31 PM
I mean, seriously, watermarking or signing your electronic images is probably the single greatest indicator of thinking you're way better than you actually are.
3/31/2006 8:34:33 PM
3/31/2006 8:45:21 PM
hell, I try to put a small watermark on almost all of my pictures now, and we do it at work on all proofs and online postings also. I started because I saw someone on here take credit for one of my fireworks pictures in a "post your best picture" thread back in 2004. Someone went to my site, saved it, and then uploaded here in their gallery and claimed it was hers. I figure if they are just going to save it I can put something small in the corner to label it and it might keep the casual theif away. It's all automated anyway for most of my pictures. fucking bitch, I need to find that thread.
3/31/2006 8:58:09 PM
I'm just jealous you got to see RJD2.
