Yeah they may have increased in value a little bit, but I doubt anyone would pay price guide value for it.

5/4/2006 3:31:41 PM
You mean they brought Thor back to life again..?Marvel can't keep a character dead to save their lives.
5/4/2006 4:27:45 PM
You can't keep a good Lee/Kirby creation down.
5/4/2006 4:46:09 PM
5/4/2006 5:09:24 PM

I missed free comic book day. What'd they give out?
5/8/2006 2:48:49 PM
there was at least 1 free comic for every publisher, marvel had like 4?we got in about half of them a week or 2 beforehand. nothing noteworthy, all just cheapy stories looking to get people to buy the books
5/8/2006 3:49:50 PM

5/9/2006 9:35:33 AM
i dont read comics, but i saw a preview for one with hulk rippin wolverine in half, and it looks like it was drawn by the dude that drew Loboyes, vague as hell, but what sthat comic?
5/9/2006 9:36:58 AM
^ha, i know what you're talking aboutno clue what it is in thoughand frosh, captain america rolls deep soni hope he breaks out the black costume for this shiznitt
5/9/2006 9:49:41 AM
^^Ultimate Hulk vs. Wolverine #1. They just put out a "director's cut"(re: way to make extra cash off of a hot book) that will probably already be cheaper than getting the original issue. The first two books have been great reads, but they might not be if you're unfamiliar with the Ultimate continuity.Shit, anything where Wolverine gets ripped in half in the first two pages is a great read.
5/9/2006 10:11:32 AM
Finally got around to reading Road to and Civil War, The Spiderman leadup was definately a little weak but Civil War 1 definately blew me away...that Cap scene is definately friggin awesome. Really though, no New Warriors? I guess it was at least a good way to go.I loved Astonishing 14 but then I'm a big Cyclops fan, I think Whedon's doing the best job of actually developing X-characters since Morrison left. I really hope he gets his wish and Ellis takes over, especially if its with Larocca, reunite the dreamteam from Excaliber's hey day I say.
5/19/2006 3:23:26 PM
How long is Civil War supposed to last? I'll prob check out some tpb's when they come out.
5/19/2006 4:32:35 PM
The main Civil War story is 8 issues long. Jenkins is going to write a book called Civil War: Frontline (I think that's what it will be called, anyway) similar to the Generation M book he wrote after House of M that will also be entirely worth your money in either comic book or TPB form. You can probably skip everything else, as the tie-ins are going to be high in number and likely low in quality. You heard me, Civil War: X-Men.
5/19/2006 6:55:16 PM
i started reading Y: The Last Man, good stuff. the public library is missing some of the books, though
5/19/2006 10:31:41 PM
Does the public library had any 100 bullets trades?
5/19/2006 10:37:59 PM
I've only read the first tpb of 100 Bullets. Is it worth buying anymore? I did enjoy it.
5/19/2006 10:39:47 PM
yeah, i saw at least one at cameron village.also reading the Battle Royale manga, pretty fucked up shit MANG.
5/19/2006 10:50:32 PM
the only magna i've ever tried out was Ghost in the Shell, and I found it wonting.]
5/19/2006 10:52:32 PM
actually the public library has all of the y the last man books except for the one that came out maybe a month ago, so you should only be about 8 issues behind where they are right now.i only know because thats how i caught onto the book
5/19/2006 11:05:53 PM
It came out a couple days ago. And it rocked.
5/19/2006 11:06:59 PM
5/19/2006 11:29:32 PM
I'm talking about just the original graphic novel.
5/19/2006 11:31:37 PM
5/20/2006 9:02:52 PM
wonting
5/20/2006 9:39:06 PM
^^Is Books of Doom really that good? I was pretty skeptical, so I'm waiting for a trade. Marvel's pretty good about getting those out in a hurry. They are, though, dragging their feet on getting all of the books for The Complete Age of Apocalypse out. First three have hit the shelves, but I'll bet the last one won't be out until after the summer.
5/22/2006 12:06:33 PM
Books of Doom is mediocre. Brubaker doesn't have a very good handle on Doom, and his decision to frame the story as some kind of documentary just doesn't sing.
5/22/2006 12:50:21 PM
so here is my reasoning behind this posti click message boards and i notice froshkiller as the last person to post hereso i'm like dang aint seen him post in a whileclick your old post history and low and behold you havent posted since the 10th!

http://www.aintitcoolnews.com/display.cgi?id=23395Preacher could possibly be made into an HBO series? Awesome. It's just unconfirmed rumors at this point, but still...I'd get HBO for this. Also, check out the link in the story to the Arseface makeup for the movie that was abandoned.
5/23/2006 10:07:18 AM
does anyone know where i can take some silver age (1960s) comics to get appraised and/or sell? pm me if you know or have any words of wisdom
5/23/2006 12:09:43 PM
I picked up "New Avengers: The Road to Civil War (Illuminati)" and it was a non-essential but helfpul read for Civil War. I think it gives a decent explanation as to why Iron Man chooses the side he does. I also picked up Civil War #1 and it was badass. Way to go cap!
5/30/2006 3:40:48 AM
5/31/2006 5:43:11 PM
Whedon doing Spider-Man and Loeb doing Doom? Awesome.I could have made that sound less gay. I didn't.
6/1/2006 12:25:41 PM
Hahah
6/1/2006 12:52:57 PM
I will not regret this./message_topic.aspx?topic=411911&page=1#8834357

Disassembled.
6/1/2006 2:24:09 PM
Civil War: Frontline out this Wednesday. Jenkins is great at stuff like this.
6/5/2006 11:50:16 AM
i wonder what thor's impending return is going to do to the Civil War
6/5/2006 11:51:53 AM
I'm not really sure what's going to happen. My guess is that he figures pretty heavily into the climax, possibly by getting pissed at both sides, since he was last seen being exhausted in every way after Ragnarok.
6/5/2006 11:53:58 AM
The Odinson has no place in the matter. It was ever the Allfather's wisdom that the affairs of Asgard be the affairs of Asgard and that the affairs of man be the affairs of man. It is truly spoken that mighty Thor once walked among mortals, and it is also sooth that even the God of Thunder was once tied by his very soul to one of their number, but mundane questions of "masks" and "identification" and "registration" will not matter in proud Valhalla, and so they shall never trouble the heart of Thor! So be it!
6/5/2006 5:56:10 PM
^ Spoken like a true Asgardian.Has anyone read Young Avengers? Wiccan used to be called "Asgardian" but since he is gay they thought it best to change his name.
6/5/2006 7:01:23 PM
6/5/2006 7:38:59 PM
^ Is that from Planet Hulk? Thats badass.
6/5/2006 7:56:43 PM
