Yeah they may have increased in value a little bit, but I doubt anyone would pay price guide value for it.

They stated from the beginning that it was a story and it would only be so many issues. That's why I love Vertigo titles, I'm thinking. People usually know how long they'll be writing a series and don't feel the need to drag shit out and beat a dead horse by introducing retarded new plot twists and characters. I'm looking at you, X-Men.

^^Ultimate Hulk vs. Wolverine #1. They just put out a "director's cut"(re: way to make extra cash off of a hot book) that will probably already be cheaper than getting the original issue. The first two books have been great reads, but they might not be if you're unfamiliar with the Ultimate continuity.

Shit, anything where Wolverine gets ripped in half in the first two pages is a great read.

Finally got around to reading Road to and Civil War, The Spiderman leadup was definately a little weak but Civil War 1 definately blew me away...that Cap scene is definately friggin awesome. Really though, no New Warriors? I guess it was at least a good way to go.

I loved Astonishing 14 but then I'm a big Cyclops fan, I think Whedon's doing the best job of actually developing X-characters since Morrison left. I really hope he gets his wish and Ellis takes over, especially if its with Larocca, reunite the dreamteam from Excaliber's hey day I say.

The main Civil War story is 8 issues long. Jenkins is going to write a book called Civil War: Frontline (I think that's what it will be called, anyway) similar to the Generation M book he wrote after House of M that will also be entirely worth your money in either comic book or TPB form. You can probably skip everything else, as the tie-ins are going to be high in number and likely low in quality.

You heard me, Civil War: X-Men.

actually the public library has all of the y the last man books except for the one that came out maybe a month ago, so you should only be about 8 issues behind where they are right now.

i only know because thats how i caught onto the book

i just finished Unmanned and Cycles. the only other book i saw at cameron village was Ring of Truth, but that's jumping ahead a couple. i didn't bother looking at the online catalog.

seeing as this is the only manga i've ever read, i don't have any comparisons. i've heard it's a bit different than the novel, which i might just end up reading (seeing as the manga has like 10+ volumes).

^^Is Books of Doom really that good? I was pretty skeptical, so I'm waiting for a trade. Marvel's pretty good about getting those out in a hurry.

They are, though, dragging their feet on getting all of the books for The Complete Age of Apocalypse out. First three have hit the shelves, but I'll bet the last one won't be out until after the summer.

Books of Doom is mediocre. Brubaker doesn't have a very good handle on Doom, and his decision to frame the story as some kind of documentary just doesn't sing.

Preacher could possibly be made into an HBO series? Awesome. It's just unconfirmed rumors at this point, but still...I'd get HBO for this.

Also, check out the link in the story to the Arseface makeup for the movie that was abandoned.

I picked up "New Avengers: The Road to Civil War (Illuminati)" and it was a non-essential but helfpul read for Civil War. I think it gives a decent explanation as to why Iron Man chooses the side he does. I also picked up Civil War #1 and it was badass. Way to go cap!

I could have made that sound less gay. I didn't.

I'm not really sure what's going to happen. My guess is that he figures pretty heavily into the climax, possibly by getting pissed at both sides, since he was last seen being exhausted in every way after Ragnarok.

The Odinson has no place in the matter. It was ever the Allfather's wisdom that the affairs of Asgard be the affairs of Asgard and that the affairs of man be the affairs of man. It is truly spoken that mighty Thor once walked among mortals, and it is also sooth that even the God of Thunder was once tied by his very soul to one of their number, but mundane questions of "masks" and "identification" and "registration" will not matter in proud Valhalla, and so they shall never trouble the heart of Thor! So be it!

Has anyone read Young Avengers? Wiccan used to be called "Asgardian" but since he is gay they thought it best to change his name.
