Haha, decided I better not go there, haha, I'll leave it like this, don't feel like goin to your level packguy and just talkin shit. I'm here to talk about music, if you don't like Kanye, then PLEASE get the fuck out.

All the people on the "Little Brother" bandwagon, I wish those guys the best of luck and I'll check out the album, but why not start ANOTHER thread dedicated to it instead of cluttering this one.

we're laughing at you because little brother is mainstream

they already had a critically acclaimed album

regardless of what you do or dont listen to

you come across as that guy that turns on Direct FX everyday and derives all music experience from it.

i dont like most underground stuff, im definitely not a backpacker, in the negative sense of the word, nor really in the positive

im just saying

you sound gay.

Haha, well, if you read my post and the whole time were thinking about putting a dick in a guy, well that's not my problem man, that's yours.

I said I didn't think Kanye would have the album of the year, I only said it was the best SO FAR, and that means that it isn't better than "Little Brother" since it hasn't even dropped yet. And I was only stating that unlike a lot of artists, his second album was pretty good. Now what part of that is gay?

i dont know how mainstream little brother really is...i mean just cause local cats know who they are...ask some average people from different parts of the country if they've heard of little brother...they're not mainstream just cause they're well known in the triangle of north carolina

they're mainstream b/c of 9th.

how many times have you heard LB in a club? or seen them on rap city? or heard them on a radio station outside of north carolina? they're not mainstream

^exactly. their upcoming release is actually on a big label which may potentially help things - but LB is definitely not mainstream, not super well-known, but, might I add: The Chitlin Circuit 1.5 Mixtape is definitely solid

Haha, yay, SUPPORT!

Yeah, maybe after this cd drops and that video gets some play time and their songs get some air time, then MAYBE they'll be mainstream, and hopefully being on a major label will help. But like I said, they aren't mainstream, just building hype locally, but give them time, the one song I heard would make a good club beat.

if LB goes "mainstream" all the fair weather fans are gonna hop on board and i'm not sure that i want that. just because its not on some lil jon type shit doesnt mean its bad/good, mainstream/underground. it's good music period. its nice to hear a rap song in which guns/coke/hoes/chains aren't mentioned. there's more to life than that and there is more to hip hop than that.

for those of you who have never heard of Little Brother or any of the Justus League, here's a video for Little Brother's "Lovin it" single from his new album The Minstrel Show:

Dang, didn't even know they still made those, haha, but apparently you did, I'm guessing your a closet Hanson fan(given they are still alive) or something, haha.

And NO they are not mainstream, get that thought out of your head. You ask people not from the Raleigh-Durham area and they don't know who Little Brother is, but with them being picked up by Atlantic, and an album about to hit the stores with the ratings it is said to have, I give them a few months and they will be mainstream(video on tv, single on the radio, etc.) and most of the people that like them now will be saying, "I knew them before they got big" or "there underground stuff was tight but this new shit is whack".

Anyone with sense in this thread DOES however, realize that they are a group you should have heard of, if you have any semblance of taste when it comes to hip-hop, which you obviously do not

if you were down like that, you wouldn't be asking "who is this little brother dude" because you'd have heard of this cat called 9th Wonder(WHO IS OBVIOUSLY NOT A FOREFRONT PRODUCER AND THERE IS NO SARCASM IN THIS SENTENCE), and you can't read a damn 9th article without reading some mention of Little Brother, considering that HES PART OF THE GROUP.

and that doesnt classify them as mainstream

you can argue the semantics of mainstream all day

ill concede mainstream was a poor word choice given that their relevance has only spread so far as the hip-hop community,

therefore cementing my assertion that ludachris is "that guy"

Kinda... its a metaphor for his secret society ties. Its a big mess involving the black free masons and the NWOA. Just look at how Chappelle got taken out when the truth behind Black Bush was exposed. Shit is whack, yo.

i know about a lot of underground cats from out of state too, dosent make them mainstream

until you see them all over rap city and hear them after usher and before lil jon in the clubs...they're not mainstream

i just addressed that

they're definitely not underground

aka

if this kid is the head he thinks he is

he shouldnt be coming across like he is

however i conceded that they aren't mainstream, and that it was the wrong choice of wording
