Why is there a blackboard in the bathroom at the exxon on gorman? Is that normal in women's bathrooms?

I'm on a pencil skirt rampage right now...

it needs to warm up so I can wear these things...

also...I need to get the waist taken in on them...suggestions for good, reasonably priced tailors

i love a good pencil skirt.

i almost ordered one online today, but i've gotten in this odd habit of putting things in a shopping cart with online shopping and then just leaving the page completely.

i guess it's my way of getting my fix on without spending money

these are from Walmart so they probably aren't "good" pencil skirts...haha

but they are fun colors and fit me very well...

no more often than I'll wear then, they should hold together for quite a while...and if they don't...I'm out $12

so I had never heard of C. Wonder until a week or so ago when I saw it mentioned in this thread a few pages back, which encouraged me to go to their site and buy a few things.

Yesterday my boyfriend told me that his company is now partnering with them in a branding re-direction campaign. Which will most likely translate to some kind of discount card for me!!1!

what a weird coincidence.

just checked out the c wonder site. wow, pretty impressed. I've checked out a number of sites from this thread and always been rather 'meh'....this was a pretty reasonably priced retail site with, what seemed like, high quality textiles.

I'm available to do customer research for the company doing marketing.

btw

backstory on C. Wonder

it was created by Tory Burch's ex husband...they've had a bitter bitter battle because she said he's used her logo, just changed it a little. And a lot of the clothes will remind you of Tory.

I like C. Wonder better tho. Tory charges way too much for shit that isn't new in terms of style

agree with Erica. i found C. Wonder about a year ago when i was up in NJ (at the time they had a few stores in NYC and one at the Garden State Plaza) and i have ordered a ton of stuff from them since. their stuff holds up well and is good quality. they run really good sales and you can find some neat stuff for the home if you check out the sales frequently. i'm so excited we have a store here in DC - although it's out at Tyson's Corner and i haven't made my way out there yet.

It was just a week ago I thought my boobs were too small, but I'm finally realizing they are too big. But it's not just like boobs; it's like rib cage and fat/muscle inside the ribs or something.

All I've ever wanted to be was a pear.

I keep looking at nude dresses for the Submarine Ball. I think it's because I always seem to wear red, black, or navy and I want something different.

I know you guys hated the other nude dress I posted. Is this one just as bad?

I really like that top punchmonk. Where did you order it? Too bad it's almost Spring, but if it's on clearance it'd be good for coming Fall.

that's a perfect shirt for spring

spring isn't summer you know?

Also does it really matter if we hate the dress?

that dress isn't my cup of tea, and let me tell you why. It doesn't look particularly flattering for the model. And something that doesn't look good on the model will probably look worse on regular people.

I just don't want to look completely horrible because I have very little fashion sense. I work from home in PJs/Sweats and am mostly a jeans/tees kinda girl when I leave the house. I couldn't tell you the last time I've shopped in an actual store.

It's on clearance! I think it's still 50% off that price.

brainysmurf this is her figure (from the pic in 5 year page):

By no means perfect, but in good shape.

Along the same lines of looking good in all the right places while wearing a form-fitting dress - other than Spanx, can anyone recommend shapewear? I'm looking more for a compressing slip like this:

Yeah, I am cheap as well! I got it when it was free shipping and it is 12.50 after the 50% off.

It's $12.50 with shipping at this point, I think.

so, I went to go get my eyebrows waxed on Saturday, and the girl there wants to put me in "brow rehab". She wants me to grow my brows out for a MINIMUM of 2 months so she can shape them. I had already been letting them grow for almost a month when I went to get them done (because my man is coming on Thurs), but she said I needed more growth/fill in.

she acknowledged that I'll be miserable during the process but will love it afterwards. 2 months is a long time to go with scraggly, unkempt brows (especially dark-ish ones on fairly light skin). I don't know what to dooooooooooo

FYI girls, I got a TON of cute stuff via dillards latest online clearance sale (plus 40% off), for me and my dude - like 20 items for ~$350. I'm on their mailing list so I know when it's coming, and I think the key is to be there when the sale goes live at like midnight or whatever (and I imagine you can add stuff to your cart beforehand as well). PLUS I got like 6% cash back from ebates.

$21 (orig $122):

$16 (orig $78):

$14 (orig $69, Perry Ellis)

$10

$21

$24

I tried to do something similar about a year ago. I lasted a little over a month. The key was plucking the extreme outliers and just letting the rest grow. I also got a couple Bang Buster headbands from lululemon (http://shop.lululemon.com/products/category/women-headbands-and-hats) and wore them low to cover my brows.
