I thought there were NCAA rules against "athletic dorms"? Recently this Kentucky basketball hotel/dorm complex has come up multiple times. Small, individual rooms, designed for tall players, with every amenity you could ask for. I am sure they shove a few grad students in there, but damn this sounds like about as close to the edge of breaking rules as you could get. I know we have the place on Western, but its huge and a ton of different groups of students, athletes, etc. stay there I thought. Sounds like he enjoyed Ky. It seems like Cal uses Drake more than World Wide Wes these days.

I think most agree Kentucky is the team to beat for his services. And he recently dispelled all the rumors about not wanting to play with other elite-level talent, so Gott is going to have to pull some magic out to make this one happen. But definitely glad we made the list over UNC/Duke.

Somebody put a wizard hat on this kid. There's your magic.

Sounds like we need an athlete dorm like Kentucky, though. That place is the shit
10/3/2012 9:04:07 AM
Again, I thought "athlete dorms" were 100% and very publicly outlawed about a decade ago. It seems obvious that KY has special housing just for b-ball. Anyone know how they are skirting the rules. They must not care, because the administration, fans, and recruits talk about the place almost every chance they get.[Edited on October 3, 2012 at 9:35 AM. Reason : .]

^the same way that unc had fake classes but they "weren't just for athletes"
10/3/2012 9:34:50 AM
If your girl only knew that she was getting mudded by the 7th floor crew.
10/3/2012 9:43:21 AM
i thought all the athletes lived in College Inn?
10/3/2012 10:36:00 AM
It's probably like Case Dining Hall used to be. Let in a few east campus students so its not just for athletes.

Bad assumption on my part if he's talking about College Inn. I thought the UK issue was an on campus dorm, thus I assumed he was talking about NCSU dorms; not apartment complexes.
10/3/2012 10:56:12 AM
Yeah, well most football/basketball players have lived at the college inn since it opened. I would guess that all the scholarship freshmen have lived there since 2004.[Edited on October 3, 2012 at 11:04 AM. Reason : I forget that this board is full of old fucks sometimes.]

saps852 was the first to mention it, IIRC. I believe it was referred to as a "bronco biscuit" before the CJL moniker took hold. CJL is preferable, as it started the whole discussion, sodium binge, etc. here's my hIGhliGHts. I still don't think I ever recovered from that fateful day.

That looks phenomenal. No need for the hot sauce though.
