man, my team of allstars could be in trouble if Aaron Rodgers, Desean Jackson, Jermichael Finley and Arian Foster all have significant injuries.

I can replace Rodgers with Vick (if he comes back), DJax with Malcolm Floyd, Finley with Zach Miller and Arian Foster with Matt Forte/Pierre Thomas, so I'm not too pissed. thank god for good drafting

There is a very good chance starting Torain over McCoy could lose me this week. I'm up 26.5 points against Braylon Edwards/Randy Moss tonight. I'm really hoping Revis is 100%...

Thanks for shitting the bed Dallas Clark! Appreciate it. Really regretting not taking Gates with that pick early on...

^^I think Dallas Clark's bad game is more on Peyton than Clark. The Chiefs got into Peyton's head early and messed up their whole gameplan.

I'm gonna stop playing in so many leagues, this week I am up by 2 in one league with Percy Harvin left, the dude I'm going against has Dustin Keller. Then in another league I'm up by 23 with Keller and Randy Moss left, while he has Harvin and LT left. So I'm rooting for Harvin and Keller to basically cancel each other out this week - which sucks

also, my daughter is doing great, shes almost figured out how to walk on her own

how did New Orleans D get scored in your leagues???

In my yahoo, they scored it 12 pts against which was an adjustment from last night and now I'm going to lose by .08 points. However, Arizona scored 3 FG, 3 XP, and 1 TD on the Max Hall fumble recovery in the endzone. That should be 18 pts, which would take 3 points from my opponent and I'd win.

Stattracker has it scored correctly.

I like the fact that some leagues can not count defensive TD's against your D's point total. That's much more fair and I never realized it was an option. But on that same token, shouldn't the XP not count as well, since the only reason they get a chance at the XP is because they scored a defensive touchdown?

^^I'm also in a Yahoo league. They were credited with giving up 12 points. But if it was a defensive TD, then it should not count against the Saints D since the Saints D/ST could not prevent it from happening.

and ^, I think the XP counts because its against the special teams (same reason any XP counts or a FG counts)...so if you own the Saints D, any points they give up while they are on defense or special teams count against them.

ESPN league (custom):
N.O.
PA = 30
I = 1 (2pts.)
FR = 0
TD = 0
Sacks = 4 (4pts.)
Points = 6

^Same thing in my ESPN league.

But it shouldn't be that way, IMO. Arizona had 3 non offensive/non special teams TDs...not including XPs, that totals 18 points that their D had no control over. You should only be penalized for points that are scored on your D/ST. My Yahoo league does it that way...apparently ESPN does not.

So I have Manningham on my bench and the following receivers are still available.

Amendola - STL(Clayton is out long term it looks like) so he is now the #1 target.
M. Williams - TB (having a strong season and the best option on that team who appears to have a terrible run game)
S. Johnson - BUF (has 4 TDs and is having a good season so far)
Crabtree - SF (tons of potential but on a terrible passing offense)

Should I drop Manningham and pick up any of these?

I would rather have Crabtree, Amendola and Williams than Manningham. Its hard to put them in order, I feel like Crabtree is the bigger name and has a higher ceiling, but you saw how many catches Amendola had yesterday when Clayton left the game (what did he have, 12 receptions yesterday?)

But one of the TD's came from Max Hall trying to rush it in, fumbling, and an OL recovering in the endzone. NO's D was on the field there, it should count as an offensive TD.

^Oh ok. In that case it definitely seems like NO should have been credited with giving up 18 points rather than 12. I don't know what to say about that.

So is it time to drop Walter? 2 subpar weeks in a row...if so, I'd pick up Amendola. I also have Mannigham. Which would you drop (if either) for Amendola?

So I've got Percy and LDT going tonight vs Favre and his little penis and I'm up 3.5 pts going in.

Why do I get the feeling I'm going to get my asshole lit up by Favre tonight?

i'm leading my 16 person league, you don't need to tell me about the waivers, but you guys drop quality players if they have 2 bad weeks, you can't do that in 16 person leagues. my best waiver pickups were Brandon Lloyd & Malcolm Floyd, you just can't afford to flip-flop

^I guess that's the difference. I'm in two 10 person leagues. I can afford to take a chance on someone, whereas you may not be able to because there are so many teams.

Well, I get W's in both my leagues. Moving to 3-2 and 2-3.

I've got Clinton Portis...I know he's out 4-6 weeks. Is he worth hanging on to,or should I drop him (or Dez Bryant) and pick up Amendola now that he's STL's #1?

Agreed. I went from a 6 point deficit to an 8 point win in 1 league, and go to 4-1 thanks to him (won my other by 68, now 3-2). In the last 2 weeks, I have a 0 from Moss and a 0 from Boldin. Hopefully Malcom Floyd doesn't repeat this in the upcoming week.

I too (with a co-owner), am in a 16 person league (and leading). I don't understand how Floyd was a waiver pickup I'm pretty sure we drafted him as our second WR. But you're right, you kind of have to just take the bad weeks in stride. My Team:
Rivers
Henne
Anderson (Held on to him until the situation clears up in Cle., either going Wallace or Delhomme just to have 3 starting QBs, which isn't a given in a 16 person league)
McCoy
M. Bush (finally paid off after drafting him and holding on to him for the first 4 weeks)
F. Jackson
Ricky Williams
R. Wayne
Floyd
Royal
Murphy
Vernon Davis
A. Hernandez

The only player we picked up on waivers was Murphy. Honestly we just had an awesome draft and the chips fell the right way especially now that Lynch is out of Buffalo. Actually, this wouldn't be a bad team in a 10 person league

Someone dropped Floyd after the first week. Again making my point about dropping people too quickly. My league has a 2QB, 3RB & 4WR cap.

Similar team:
Rivers
McCoy
S.Jackson
R.Matthews
T.Owens
M.Floyd
B.Lloyd
B.Tate
V. Davis / A. Hernandez
Prater/Vinatieri, and Bears/Patriots & K.Rhodes

I have C.Palmer for my Rivers BYE week, should I hold on to him or swap out for Fitzpatrick?

Guy in my league who lost WR Clayton for the year just proposed this trade to me:

I get:
Larry Fitzgerald
Johnny Knox
Jonathan Stewart

I give:
Percy Harvin
Shonn Greene

My other wrs are Moss,Smith(car),Ward,Murphy...

I know Fitzgerald's value is down because of the QB flux in ARI, but do I sell high on Harvin?

dont do that trade

fitz is a trade off with Harvin

then you DOWNGRADE from Green to Stewart and Knox has sucked

not to mention harvin gets return yards as well.

What if I try to get him to bite on a trade, where I sub in Ward and Murphy?

My other rb's are Johnson, Forte, Charles, and Mendenhall, so I guess I could stand to lose Greene.

Start Cutler (vs. SEA) or Big Ben (vs. CLE)?

I picked up Fitzpatrick last week to start and am considering keeping him, so I was considering trading Big Ben or Cutler. I desperately need a 2nd RB (have Peterson, Wells and Lynch). I think I am solid on WRs with DJax, S. Moss, Jennings and Steve Johnson (BUF).

So my question is, which QB should I trade (quite a few teams need a solid QB), and if anyone has any suggestions on who I can possibly target.

If not, then should I try to pick up Mike Hart or Derrick Ward??

++In a 16-team PPR league w/ return yards

I've been sent this trade offer...thoughts?
I get: JerMichael Finley, Shonn Greene, Owen Daniels
I give: Antonio Gates

I would be playing Daniels in the meantime while Finley is hurt.

My current RBs are Chris Johnson, Beanie, Tim Hightower, and Felix Jones. So Greene would probably be my second starter behind Chris Johnson.

What do you guys think of this?

^Yeah. I guess the thinking behind the two TEs is that Owen Daniels would start for me now until Finley is healthy (3-6 weeks). But once Finley is healthy, I'll have no need for Daniels...I know what you're saying and agree with it.

My problem is, if I replace Daniels with a better player, then I will have to pick up a TE until Finley is healthy. And there isn't much out there as far as TEs go. But Finley is a really good TE and GB uses him a lot.

I'd like to upgrade my WRs...but his only WRs are Jennings, Harvin, Roddy White, and Steve Breaston. I don't really think he'd trade any of those first 3 guys...and Breaston wouldn't start for me.

Since we're talking Finley right now anyway....

Quote :
"The National Football Post reports that Jermichael Finley (knee surgery) could be out six to 10 weeks, as opposed to the three to six week timetable that had originally been reported.

If Finley ends up at the outer limit of this new timetable, it could put his chances of playing at all this season in doubt. We wouldn't drop him just yet, as he's a top three or four tight end when healthy, and there's still some uncertainty surrounding his timetable, but this is still awful news for Finley's fantasy owners. "
