pretty sure it's a carrier thing, but how do i extend the time before the call forwards to voicemail? i'd like to set it to 24 seconds. when i had my bb with att, it was a simple google search that had a string of numbers to dial and that set it no prob.
6/1/2010 9:39:35 AM
I want to say that I read it can't be done on a CDMA network, but I can't find the thread to support this atm.[Edited on June 1, 2010 at 11:10 AM. Reason : ]

Ordered an Incredible, it should get here around the 12th. Really makes me frustrated using my crappy Razr now that I have a data-rich phone/plan coming soon.I think I can get a 15% monthly discount for being a goverment employee Any suggestions for a case? I've heard good things about OtterBox, but they don't have an Incredible version yet...
6/1/2010 4:12:51 PM
Seidio makes a quality case, but I'm opting for phantomskinz for my Evo. I had both on my TP2, but I'm trying out the full body kit this time instead of just the screen protector.http://www.seidioonline.com/product-p/csr3hddn-bk.htmhttp://phantomskinz.com/htcdroidincredible.aspxUse summersale2010 for 30% off.Amazon has the innocases for 25 bucks shipped, but I didn't see the Incredible on there yet.
6/1/2010 7:39:31 PM
i have the zagg invisibleshieldhttp://www.zagg.com/invisibleshield/motorola-droid-cases-screen-protectors-covers-skins-shields.phpit does it's job quite well, thin, fits in dock, clear, scratchproof, it just feels like plastic, my only qualm with it
6/1/2010 11:57:52 PM
more like the most tacky, rubberized, scroll hindering material ever made. TBH, I had Clear Protector full body on my TP1 (I believe it's the exact same material though). I hated it so much that I took it off (and of course ended up scratching the shit out of my screen the first day, but I digress). I found phantomskinz from ppcgeeks and it was amazing how much better it felt. I never even noticed it was on my device and it still offers great protection.
6/2/2010 12:24:54 AM
^^My dad got it for his tilt 2, my only complaint I had with it when I was playing around with his phone is that the screen felt a little rubbery. They make those for my backflip, but it'd be pointless because on one side is the keyboard, and on the other is a screen made with gorilla glass.

thanks for the feedback on the phantomskinz Grandmaster. Im going to grab that one for my Evo. Ill try the full skin as well. Has anyone heard about the official GPS mount that will be coming out for the Evo?
6/2/2010 9:39:48 AM
Yeah, at $6.96 shipped (or $17.xx for full) per 2 kits you really can't go wrong. I requested one of each matte and gloss. They're shipping Evo skins today, so hopefully they'll be here by Saturday latest.
6/2/2010 9:44:55 AM
I haven't tried this yet so I don't know, but if you install a piece of software as an .apk, will it still receive software updates through the marketplace?
6/2/2010 1:31:49 PM
6/2/2010 1:37:05 PM
will that be at radio shack on 6/4?
6/2/2010 1:59:08 PM
IT'LL BE IN YOUR MOM ON 6/4
6/2/2010 2:18:59 PM
Epic Fail is a great app:For Cases: I have said it everytime someone asked but SEIDIO IS THE BEST CASE. They also have good SP's that are easy to apply/adjust and do not feel like rubber. I took the ZAGG I had off and replaced it, hated it.[Edited on June 2, 2010 at 2:30 PM. Reason : aerg]

^^^^ is that the dock that will also charge the phone? There were rumors that Sprint would release a dock that could charge the phone while using the GPS. I dont even know if this is true or not but I would definitely get a dock if it can charge the phone.

^Cool deal. I wonder if he would give you the 20.00 accessory credit too? Coupled with the 15% discount (if he opens early and you go) or 10% thereafter you can probably grab a free case or something.I'm hoping I can snag that car mount for 30 bucks because all the other shit is useless to me.
6/3/2010 12:26:47 AM
This facebook junk sucks. Should I delete it and redownload. It hasn't worked in 3 days
6/3/2010 9:37:15 AM
what's this for?
6/3/2010 9:39:35 AM
That's a code you can scan with the Barcode Scanner app to send you to the marketplace location for a specific app. Each app has it's own unique barcode.
6/3/2010 9:42:50 AM
That looks like the pin barcode for a bb.

Ragged what carrier are you on? If you have issues, take it to the store, I've never had any problems with any of the apps nor internet speed.

Woohoo!
6/4/2010 8:41:27 AM
lots of mixed reviews - more negative than positive it seems. they all have good things to say but there's always a "but" at the end of the review.i'm glad i'm not getting it now to be honest
6/4/2010 9:18:02 AM
i never even considered it. first of all, its fucking SPRINT. second, they are nickel&diming you to the death, as usual, for a service that gives you probably less coverage than AT&T. and third, its a first gen product - it's never a good idea to buy those.
6/4/2010 9:39:12 AM
Its like 300 bux for existing customers right?
6/4/2010 10:11:55 AM
Let the trolling commence! There was a random error object/exception or some nonsense while I was setting up my google account for first time use. That was pretty funny and not reassuring at the same time. I rarely 'adopt early' but there's no doubt in my mind that Froyo is going to fly on this beast.
6/4/2010 10:17:43 AM
The only negative reviews Ive read discuss the battery life and the 4g service, both of which are inconsequential to me. IMO this is the best phone Sprint has to offer which is why I am getting it. Im at a desk M-F so I can charge when necessary and Ive got the car charger. And Froyo should significantly help the battery life and make it even faster. Grandmaster do you install the OTA update or root it already? Ill probably get the update and wait for another root process since Ive read there are some security holes in the launch version of the OS.
6/4/2010 10:31:25 AM
I haven't installed the OTA update. I'll probably root it and wait for xda to put out the fix. Not to mention the Seidio extended life battery is supposed to be great. The Mugen is a slightly cheaper albeit well reviewed alternative.[Edited on June 4, 2010 at 10:52 AM. Reason : .]
6/4/2010 10:50:52 AM
camera doesn't work in froyo either
6/4/2010 1:11:14 PM
Based on reviews etc, probably gonna hold off for now. I only pay $115/mo right now for 2 iPhones with AT&T and if I take their new discounted data plan, I'd be paying ~$85/mo for the 2 phones. That's almost what I used to pay for 2 dumb phones.I just got a warranty replacement for my 3GS, so selling it on fleabay and buying either an N1 or waiting for the i897/Captivate with the Death Star.

what is the verdict on app killers? also, are there any programs that prevent things from loading at startup?
