Donald Brown RB for Visanthe Shiancoe TE from me is it a fair trade?
10/21/2009 9:19:58 PM
FLEX dilemma:Cotchery @ OAKAvery IndFargas/Bush NYJDunno if Cotchery's gonna be 100%, Avery is gonna get a lot of targets and I just don't know about the Bush/Fargas thing (they are FAs, but I have a few bye week guys)
10/21/2009 10:19:48 PM
Don't know if it's been mentioned yet, Rashard Mendenhall and Miles Austin both have starting positions now.
10/22/2009 2:05:36 AM
I have Willie Parker on my bench, but he's lost his starting spot after not being effective even when he was the starter, that said...Is it worth dropping Parker to pick up any of these:Donald BrownC. BuckhalterL. Maroney
10/22/2009 9:04:19 AM
^I really don't see it. Knowshon is starting and getting the bulk. Brown could be once the Colts have the playoffs locked up which could be in a few weeks.
10/22/2009 10:38:35 AM
^^ pick up Maroney. Fred Taylor is out for a few weeks and Morris is questionable for this weekend's game....making Maroney the clear starter. Plus its TB so he has a great matchup.
10/22/2009 10:42:57 AM
buffalo D vs carolina or jets D vs oakland?also, maroney vs TB or grant vs cleveland?
10/22/2009 11:20:17 AM
austin collie or steven jackson (IND @ STL)
10/22/2009 11:28:50 AM
10/22/2009 11:47:43 AM
^^steven jackson, without a doubt.i have Eddie Royal sitting on my bench, but can drop him to pick up Lance Moore. Should I?[Edited on October 22, 2009 at 11:59 AM. Reason : .]
10/22/2009 11:58:30 AM
i'd hold on to Royal!Celek or Maclin for my flex??
10/22/2009 12:34:35 PM
^I think Maclin could have a bigger day but Celek is probably a safer playand again I'll ask, McNabb @ WAS or Roethlisberger vs. MIN?
10/22/2009 12:44:08 PM
I'd say Mcnabb...however ben continues to surprise. Still I'd say McNabb
10/22/2009 12:48:41 PM
Yeah thats what I'm planning on...Washington's defense is too tempting to play against despite McNabb struggling last week versus Oakland
10/22/2009 12:49:53 PM
^ Washington's D is 3rd against the pass and has one of the highest sack totals in the NFL. Oakland sacked McNabb 6 times and shut him down with pressure. With Andy Reid refusing to run the ball consistently it could be a bad game for McNabb. Just food for thought. Also Washington beat Philly twice last season with practically the same terrible team. 10/22/2009 2:35:54 PM
I've seen Washington play in person this year and I just know they're a bad team on all sides of the ball...I mean they lost to the Chiefs and Lions...I think their pass D is partially attributed to teams running on them...and I know Minnesota's defense is good, although watching the 4th quarter of the Ravens game you wouldn't know itTough call
10/22/2009 2:43:05 PM
would anybody take a chance on starting crabtree this week?it's between him and kevin walter for my wr2 spot (bye weeks are killing me).
10/22/2009 2:55:09 PM
well Braylon had a nice game his first game with the Jetscourse Braylon showed during his rookie year that he could be a player in the NFL...Crabtree hasn't, though he hasn't had the chance
10/22/2009 2:57:17 PM
10/22/2009 3:12:38 PM
well, then go for it.but i'd go SJax if it was a PPR league.
10/22/2009 3:41:33 PM
^ yea, I probably should have mentioned that its not.
10/22/2009 3:48:25 PM
Someone answer my question please, third time:
10/22/2009 4:05:04 PM
10/22/2009 4:07:29 PM
^^I think you're giving up too much if you're trading both Benson and Chris Johnson. I'd substitute T Jones for one of those and hope the guy bites, especially considering the week T Jones just put up.
10/22/2009 4:22:10 PM
yeah, do not do that trade
10/22/2009 4:26:37 PM
took a flyer on crabtree in both my leagues, prob won't consider starting till tenn game though
10/22/2009 5:47:57 PM
Ok since putting Adrian Peterson on the trade block, I got another offerI would give up ADP, and receiver Deangelo Williams and Leon WashingtonI don't like that trade, but should I counter with ADP and Jerius Norwood, for Deangelo, L-Wash and either Marshawn or Ray Rice? I don't know if he'd do either of those, but he also has Benson and seems content having Benson and ADP as his top backs...his other great players are Peyton and Roddy White...I doubt he'd give up Deangelo and Peyton and I don't really need WhiteThoughts? Should I entertain this trade or counter or just reject it?
10/22/2009 6:37:44 PM
Treetwista, I wouldn't do it... but I'd counter and see what happens, maybe he will sweeten the pot. Should I bench AP this weekend?I've got Maroney, Stewart, Mendenhall and Brown... It kinda sounds crazy to me but that Pitt run D is scary good, and all these guys could have big games.I'm thinking about benching AP and Brown. What do ya'll think?
10/22/2009 7:22:36 PM
I'd run AP and Brown...Pittsburgh's D is good but not stellar good...they're routinely having to win games off Big Ben's arm...assuming AP's ankle tweak last week is nothing serious, I'd run him...and Brown has scored TDs in what, the last 4-5 straight games? I'd go with him. As far as Maroney, I like him this week, especially with NE's other RB injuries, but it wouldnt surprise anyone if the Pats put up 42 points and it was 5 Brady TDs and a Benjarvus Green-Ellis 1 yard rush late in the game...Maroney is a good play but I think you have better playsMendenhall got the nod as Pitt's top back, but Minnesota's run defense is still good despite giving up the late runs to Ray Rice last week...I like Stewart's matchup versus Buffalo too but with Jake's tendency to throw picks, it might be a close game where Deangelo gets the critical touchesre: my trade question, would you give up ADP (and Norwood) if you could get Deangelo/Rice/Washington or Deangelo/Lynch/Washington? I definitely need multiple peoples' input before I trade away the best player in fantasy football[Edited on October 22, 2009 at 7:29 PM. Reason : .]
10/22/2009 7:27:14 PM
pick 2:Chad 85 vs CHID-Jax @ WASNicks vs. ARIMaroney @ TB
10/22/2009 7:29:43 PM
sitting AP is nuts, even against the steelers. Even if the run is mostly stuffed, he can catch swing passes too.
10/22/2009 11:50:33 PM
^^ go with Eight Five and JacksonNeed flex opinionsJ. Stewart (@Buf)orD. Brown (@StL)Also WR2 (Pick 1)B. Edwards (@Oak)S. Breaston (@NYG)B. Berrian (@Pit)[Edited on October 23, 2009 at 12:02 AM. Reason : .]
10/22/2009 11:58:00 PM
AP should never be benched. Period. You play the matchups with your no. 2 RBs and your flexes, but not the top overall pick in the draft.^Play Stewart and expect something similar to last week's output. Panthers' passing game is trash and the staff has no trust in Jake so they're gonna be run heavy with DeAngelo and him. And let's not forget Buffalo has the worst run defense in the league.I have a feeling there's gonna be some points put up in the Steelers/Vikings, but Boldin most likely won't play which would put Breaston at the no. 2 with the NYG keying in on stopping Fitz.
10/23/2009 10:08:55 AM
more value rest of the season: T. OwensP. HarvinS. RiceS. Breaston
10/23/2009 10:32:52 AM
Pick 2 (PPR);Marion Barber (DAL) ATLAhmad Bradshaw (NYG) ARITim Hightower (ARI) @ NYGBoth the giants and the cardinals have good run defenses, so I am not sure which to pick.
10/23/2009 10:46:52 AM
Barber and Bradshaw
10/23/2009 11:14:40 AM
I dont know I might lean towards Hightower because he has been getting the pass alot
10/23/2009 11:51:49 AM
Rice is the most valuable of those 4 ^^^
10/23/2009 1:54:34 PM
Pick one to sit:Pierre Garcon at StLAndre Caldwell vs. ChiBernard Berrian at PitYes my WRs suck.
10/23/2009 2:29:55 PM
BerianCaldwell has consistantly gotten looks in the end zone towards the end of the game for the last 3 weeks in a row.PIT has Troy back and their corners are going to be all over Berian. 10/23/2009 2:35:04 PM
So I have a pretty good team, second in my league. But I am really getting tired of having Felix Jones on my bench and I now have benched Choice. Are either of these two worth keeping around?
10/23/2009 3:27:03 PM
ced bensonor ryan grantand in a ppr leauge:ochocincoormichael turner
10/23/2009 3:48:52 PM
Benson and I would say Turner but I've never played PPR so not familiar with scoringPick 2: Forte vs. CincyLynch vs. PanthersP. Thomas vs. MiamiD. Brown vs. St. LouisLJ vs. SD
10/23/2009 4:27:08 PM
JUSTIN FARGAS (should be full load vs. Jenkins-less Jets)ORLANCE MOORE (recovering #2 option for Brees...maybe?)????????????????????????????????????????????????????
10/23/2009 9:08:04 PM
^^I'd run Forte and Thomas^hmm...I'd probably go Fargas just cause NO has so many weapons...honestly Coslton and Shockey to me are the only must start receiving options for NO...and Thomas as an RB...other than that, its kind of hit or missregarding both of yalls questions, this game should be interesting in many ways...NO has a high powered offense versus Miami's slow, methodical, clock running offense...Miami is one of the few teams that seems to be able to have multiple 7-10 minute offensive drives...I think this game will be lower scoring than you might expect from a Saints gamestill need some opinions on my potential Adrian Peterson trade situation a few Page Up's up[Edited on October 23, 2009 at 9:12 PM. 10/23/2009 9:11:09 PM
if you're intent on trading ADP then I definitely think the DeA/Ray Rice/Leon would be the best package.. norwood is mostly a nonfactor That'd give you a pretty good stable of RB's assuming you have atleast a decent 2nd RB already
10/23/2009 9:18:34 PM
if i was comfortable with my 2nd back I wouldnt try to move AP...my current 2nd back is Jamal Lewis/Julius Jones...not exactly a decent stable which is why I need depth...still, Lewis rushed for 117 yards 2 weeks ago and might come around...but if I made the trade, my definitive 1 and 2 backs would be Deangelo and Rice I supposeits not that i'm hellbent on getting rid of AP either, but if I can make my team better as a whole in the long run then I'm open to it...currently its still in my head but I'm waiting for someone to convince me to do it[Edited on October 23, 2009 at 9:23 PM. Reason : .][Edited on October 23, 2009 at 9:24 PM. Reason : .]
10/23/2009 9:22:43 PM
In halfway decent I was referring to someone that was atleast a starter. I'd say that DeA, Ray Rice, Leon, J. Jones, and J. Lewis is a pretty decent stable of backsIf ADP, J. Lewis, and J. Jones is all you have at RB then I would probably do a DeA, Ray Rice, and Leon tradeRegardless of how shitty Delhomme and the Panthers O' is, they will always run it. And Ray Rice has been one of the best fantasy backs in the league this year. I've been very impressed with what i've seen from him so far. Not knowing what the rest of your team looks like, I think that trade atleast makes your RB starters and RB depth better overall
10/23/2009 9:31:55 PM
my only hesitation is that Rice is part of a 3 headed rushing attack, but he does seem to be the favorite overall...my other backs are Norwood and Mike Bell, so I basically have ADP and a bunch of guys who aren't usually top-20 backsI don't even know if the dude would do the trade or if the league would approve it (he is in 1st) but I just have the normal hesitation of trading the best fantasy player for anybody...it wont go through this week if it passes so i'll see what lewis and mike bell do, since i have to play them for byes, but thanks for your inputi still wish the league hadn't denied my J.Jones/Eddie Royal for Steve Slaton trade that I offered in week 2 or 3
10/23/2009 9:37:02 PM
yeah I definitely say if they would do that trade I'd take it. I think Ray is clearly the #1 back no question about it. Yeah I'm glad our league has it where you can't veto trades. If you can talk the other owner into making a bad trade or get someone to accept a sell high/buy low situation then good for you.
