Ever had a worm farm or an ant farm? Or a hermit crab perhaps? Any fish like a beta fish or a gold fish?
5/25/2026 11:00:49 AM
no
5/25/2026 11:01:32 AM
Damn, striking out today. Sometimes i'm really good at this
5/25/2026 11:09:26 AM
Do you ever go to the dry cleaners?
5/27/2026 7:54:25 PM
Not really. Occasionally I will go through the drive thru with my wife to pick up or drop off something of hers. Maybe like 3 times in the 16 years we've been married. I think she took a dress shirt or two of mine up there once. I pretty much never wear anything that can't be machine washed.

About the same for me, very rare. I just took 3 pants and paid 18 bucks. Wtf is that the rate now? I just wanted some nicely ironed pants

I just took this picture of a rainbow when I was taking my dogs on their evening walk around the neighborhood. What do you think?[Edited on May 27, 2026 at 8:28 PM. Reason : Aaron earned an iron urn]

Does this more or less seem accurate to you for figuring out maintenance calories? I feel like you are an expert when it comes to weight loss, if you are wondering why I ask you
6/7/2026 1:47:44 PM
A "workout" can be a lot of different things to different people, so, no, I don't think this is very good. I compared the total calorie burn data from my Garmin watch to my weight loss over a year and the Garmin was pretty accurate.
6/7/2026 6:04:57 PM
Any advice on determining how many calories to eat per day?
6/7/2026 6:40:04 PM
Can you rank your top 5 big US cities?
6/7/2026 6:49:25 PM
^^The BMR and TDEE calculators online are reasonably accurate for most people. How much to eat depends on whether you want to lose, maintain, or gain.^I really don't travel much, especially to big cities. I can tell you I do not like going to Charlotte or Nashville. Idk if those are big enough. I'm really not a city guy.[Edited on June 7, 2026 at 8:41 PM. Reason : af]

Do you remember you suggested several years ago now the filson belt?It has held up remarkably well for as much as i wore it. And through some really grunt work for a few years too. I only wish i had got the next size down thickness, there are some loops very difficult to get through, and i can tuck the overlap in most pant loops. Never been washed or the leather treated or anything, still looks in good shape. Def some good stuff! I have been meaning to check out their brick and mortar store since forever, still haven't. Only have a few nationwide. Ah man...they closed it! Must have been a casualty of covid, actually just under a year ago. Damn![Edited on June 7, 2026 at 9:12 PM. Reason : ]

Yes, I remember recommending that. I punched new holes in mine while I lost weight. Eventually the tip reached halfway back around me, literally in the middle of my back. I still have it. I wear one from Hank's Belts now and it's really good, too. Similar belt at a lower price. I mostly work from home and don't wear hard pants or a belt very often.
6/7/2026 9:20:21 PM
I'm close to the last notch in mine since i am about as heavy as I have ever been. Thanks for hank recommendation, Filson doesn't appear to even sell a black belt anymore, just 3 versions of brown

What is your opinion of buying a new vehicle versus a used vehicle?

What is the best saltwater whitefish to eat
6/17/2026 2:11:29 AM
^^In 2026, new vehicles are garbage. A used vehicle has always been a more sound financial choice, but even more so now that the newer models are so unreliable. It's mostly horrible engines and transmissions that prioritize fuel economy over long term reliability. The electronics are also much more complex. Think about how shitty consumer electronics are now and how they don't last. Same shit is going in cars. The automakers learned to engineer to fail and make the failures so expensive that folks will just stay in a car payment indefinitely. They do not make money from folks like me who drive 20 year old vehicles with 300k miles and just fix them when they break.^Sea mullet aka virginia mullet aka kingfish aka whiting
