I didn't know that, but no I wasn't doing it on that play, as a matter of fact, I can't think of a time when I have used that while passing...thanks for the tidbit
8/3/2008 11:52:31 PM
all done now.yea good game, stix. i was gettin blown out of the water right off the bat. i moved a DT at the wrong time and gave you a huge lane and got the game off to a terrible start.
8/3/2008 11:54:01 PM
ha, just like if you hold up on it, it'll throw it high and your receiver will jump to catch it. Gets your receiver tko'd sometimes and will throw it straight to the safeties if you're not careful.

Final#20 FSU 21# 25 GT-01st quarter ended 21-0, and that scored stayed the same for the duration. GT's offense is completely inept vs a fast defense, and with no decent passing plays whatsoever, coming back from a deficit is extremely hard. FSU played a very classy game, (ran up the middle the entire 4th quarter)[Edited on August 4, 2008 at 1:05 AM. Reason : f]

GG apoc. FSU is able to shutout GT 21-0. FSU scored all their points in the 1st quarter. 1 on the opening possession, then the D was able to force a fumble on GT's first play of the game, which was converted into a TD. finally with 1 minute left in the 1st, M. Garvin ran an interception 39 yards for the final score. The stat line in this game doesn't really tell the story. GT only had 103 yards of offense but they had several good, long possessions into FSU territory but each time the FSU defense held tight and got the turnover they needed. Jaybo Shaw was sacked 3 times in the game and threw 2 interceptions and fumbled once.Clemson is up next, in a game that has massive implications in the ACC standings. The Atlantic division looks like it is setting up to be extremely tight down the stretch.
8/4/2008 1:10:19 AM
wow 52-14. looks like the beagles got their nuts caught in the shredder.
8/4/2008 1:14:51 AM
Clemson demolishes BC 52-14 as new starting QB Chris Johnson (Fr) threw a 65 yard TD pass to WR Brandon Robinson on the game's first drive, but eventually threw 5 picks, including a last second hail mary attempt pick 6 as time expired in the 4th. Clemson's superior speed prevailed on this snowy night in Massachusetts. Spiller rushed for 131 yards and 2 TDs, while James Davis added 62 yards and 2 scores of his own. For the Eagles, Josh Haden rushed 8 carries for 34 yards and a score, while QB Chris Johnson completed passes to 8 different receivers, but was only 12/23 for 176 yards, most of those coming in the 1st quarter. BC's offense showed rare signs of life early in the game, but the Eagles couldn't keep the pace.]

Clemson wins 52-14Cullen Harper finishes with a 400.2 passer rating completing 2 of 3 for 80 yards for 1 TD and 0 INTsCJ Spiller finishes with 19 carries for 131 yards and 2 TDs while James Davis finishes with 15 carries for 62 yards and 2 TDsChris Chancellor finishes with 2 INTs one for a TD as well as a pick six for Spencer AdamsFacing Florida State next week we'll see if the Noles defense can match up to the speed and power of thunder and lightning.
8/4/2008 1:15:10 AM
Clemson, FSU will be a very interesting game to watch. FSU's fast defense against Mr. Speed.
8/4/2008 1:17:53 AM
3 passes thrown the whole game???? So whats stopping someone from running a 4-4 the whole game and just daring you to beat them deep?
8/4/2008 1:18:05 AM
what do you think he did? lol do that and you'll watch Spiller blow by your LBs to the outside.[Edited on August 4, 2008 at 1:18 AM. Reason : .][Edited on August 4, 2008 at 1:19 AM. Reason : .]
8/4/2008 1:18:32 AM
stacking the box is the worse thing you can do with spiller's speed. he'll be to the outside and gone before you even get in the backfield.
8/4/2008 1:19:26 AM
I tried a lot of different run defenses, and I got some tackles for loss and held a lot of his runs to 3-4 yard gains but those were often after he broke one or two tacklesI usually tried to have the corners play either shallow zone or blitz to stop the outside run but Spiller is a beast[Edited on August 4, 2008 at 1:21 AM. I mean, hes not in my division, so im not worried about it right now. Maybe Play Nickel-strong Cover 2 which keeps the CB's within 5 yds of the line and pull your safeties in
8/4/2008 1:22:07 AM
lets just say it should be an interesting game, with a lot of highlights
8/4/2008 1:22:17 AM
^^i was doing stuff like that and having some success, but once he gets into the open field, see ya[Edited on August 4, 2008 at 1:22 AM. Reason : ^^]
8/4/2008 1:22:32 AM
im just throwing out ideas. I mean, with him getting 20 carries a game by himself and already around 1500 rushing yards......you gotta think about how to stop him
8/4/2008 1:23:52 AM
I don't think he'll be bouncing off FSU's defense like he's doing everyone else. With a 99 rated defense, spiller might have his hands full.
Team Overall Offense DefenseFlorida State 94 92 99Clemson 89 90 92Miami 86 83 92Virginia Tech 84 79 89Georgia Tech 81 81 87Maryland 81 81 85Virginia 79 79 85North Carolina 79 79 80Boston College 77 77 80Wake Forest 77 79 80NC State 77 79 78Duke 77 81 76
8/4/2008 1:25:29 AM
yeah, its been on my mind the past day or so. i think I have a gameplan worked out. FSU has the offense to match up to Clemson's fire power though. It should be a great game, I'm very glad its in Tallahasse.
8/4/2008 1:27:17 AM
when asked how he feels coming off an abdominal strain injury, highly touted freshman DE Daquan Bowers said he feels better than ever and hopes to be in the backfield causing havoc for the FSU offense.
8/4/2008 1:28:58 AM
Bowers needs to learn to zip his mouth. Bobby just put that comment on each of his Offensive Linemen's locker.[Edited on August 4, 2008 at 1:42 AM. Reason : .]

that sounds good to me... seems like when they release the patch it will make for better games also

does Heisman give computer players on FCS East 99 speed and 99 acceleration?
