it's starting to look like this game isn't going to end with ghana scoring 0 goals either
6/27/2006 11:42:09 AM
Brazil is really lucky that one didn't go in. If Ghana keeps this up, they will definitely score.
6/27/2006 11:43:57 AM
dammit
6/27/2006 11:45:45 AM
That did look kind of offsides to me.
6/27/2006 11:46:54 AM
ghana got robbed on that goal.
6/27/2006 11:47:45 AM

6/27/2006 12:51:56 PM
I had Torres as my captain, but amac's captain is Torres as well, so I switched mine to Henry. Hopefully I can make up some ground.LES BLEUS!

6/27/2006 3:27:47 PM
Had to give that one.. France had been carrying it too for a bit.. perfect shot there and it needed it to be.
6/27/2006 3:27:51 PM
I dont think he had much of a chance on scoring, but he had to call it...
6/27/2006 3:28:45 PM
Though I greatly enjoyed the Ukrainian chip yesterday, that penalty kick was the best-taken I've seen since one Brandi Chastain.
6/27/2006 3:32:57 PM
i want both these bitches to lose, but i'd rather see spain win.
6/27/2006 3:41:47 PM
nice goal
6/27/2006 3:42:07 PM

6/27/2006 3:44:16 PM
Yeah, and it was sickening. He faked out Kingson so bad that he broke his ankles AND sat him down. It'll be on the halftime report.

6/27/2006 5:02:13 PM

6/27/2006 5:37:04 PM

Been thinking about the whole faking injury/sit out 5-10 minute theory some people have thrown out there to cut down on the acting.... and it won't ever work with referees determining which injuries are "real" or not. So, I figured the best way to cut that out would be for players to police themselves. If they know a player is acting, trying to stop a counterattack or whatever, just don't play the ball out. If the player is really hurt, the opposing team could probably tell... and if they did find out he was faking after playing the ball out, they just wouldn't play it out again. It's kind of like the boy who cried wolf. The first injury, play the ball out. If he jumps right back up after a second, don't kick it out again. Might take a while but it's really the only way for this to stop. Referees have too many responsibilities already (which some struggle with) and it's just not realistic for them to determine injury seriousness.
6/27/2006 8:24:38 PM
^It simply works with the fact that if you are really injured, then you need about 5 minutes to rest anyway and sometimes even make a sub. If you are faking, then you will think twice before falling and grabbing your leg.
6/27/2006 10:42:53 PM
ghana should win this game
6/27/2006 10:46:24 PM
Everyone knows that Ghana had no chance with Brazil. Very few teams have a chance with Brazil. Don't act as if some calls stopped them from winning the game. Go to worldcup.com and check the highlights, pause the video directly when the pass for the second goal is given. The players were equal and equal means no offsides. Ghana's finsih is weak and shouldn't have really been in this second round (no penalty kick vs USA). Probably the closest they were to target was almost scoring in their own goal.
6/27/2006 10:49:12 PM
^finishing is obviously very important, but there is something to be said for having more chances. If ghana didn't belong in the knockout round, then brasil is going to be in trouble against a team that does belong there.
6/27/2006 11:27:33 PM
if i were english and i saw the espn world cup coverage i would hate america
