Fairfield -1.5 @ Iona (riding that Iona shittiness this weekend)
Cincy +2.5 @ South Florida

that's it on this boring NCAA Sunday. If only I felt comfortable betting on the NFL

[Edited on January 14, 2007 at 12:51 PM. Reason : p.s. - thx Wazzou for pushing +3 yesterday to push my teaser!]

I know ND is a tough place to play.. But Seton Hall is given 13.5??? I might take that.

Yeah, I saw that too. Plus the over on the MSU-Illinois but I'm staying away from both. I just don't trust ND at Joyce Center to not go off..

Not convinced that Tomlinson is human.

And goddam i hate pulling for the Patriots. I really underestimated how annoying that part was gonna be.

Some terrific gems I took this weekend:
UCLA to cover -3 1/2 over USC, (up by 6 with a minute and win by 1)
Illinois vs MSU over 122 (total=120, and Illinois had a 3 point attempt with several seconds left)
Bears and Seattle, first half, Seattle +6 (21-14 at half after Rex takes them down the field in the last 2 minutes)
Chargers -4 1/2, no explanation needed
I love heartbreaking losses!!!!

Fuck me.

My playoff strategy worked yet again. This time i pussied out a little before i got to reap the benefits.

3-1 just like i called..... 2-0 last week... the playoffs are really easy

Lets try this again.

If you're not listening to me, you should be.

Round One:
Quote :
"I think the Pats win 35-10 tomorrow.
And the Eagles 23-20."

Round Two:
Quote :
"4 plays for next week. The goal is to go 2-0 on the spreads and 1-1 on the moneylines for a huge score.

NE +4.5 , Philly +4.5

NE moneyline Philly moneyline.

The thinking is that one of those teams pulls the upset and you will win big on their moneyline and their spread. Then the other team may not pull the upset but they can still cover the spread to offset the moneyline loss.
"

I mean goddam I sound like Nostradamus in that bolded quote.

How can you not be riding my picks at this point?

Round 3:
Saints Moneyline
Patriots Moneyline

If either of those games move to +3.5 then jump all over them too.

Those weren't my bets I just thought they were good ones. And they were.

Perhaps you're unfamilar with gambling. +574 means you need to win 14.8% of the time to break even.

After the Saints-Eagles game I think its pretty clear that the Eagles had better than a 1/7 chance of winning the NFC.

Hmmm...

Marist +2 Siena
Marquette +3 L'ville
Gonzaga -4.5 Saint Marys
Mizzou +16 Kansas

I'm going to set up a 3 team teaser I think taking Marist, Marquette, and Mizzou. If I can get Mizzou up to +18 or +19 I'd feel safe.

Good luck with Mizzou. I thought about that one but last time I bet against the Jayhawks, I took OK State and got embarassed. Mizzou/Kansas is a decent rivalry and it may stay close... but KU is damn good.

I did a sweetheart teaser.

Mizzou +23.5
Gonzaga +3.5
Marquette +11

I think that is pretty safe.. also made some smaller bets just to recoup if this flames out..

^^^ I don't trust them as much but I'm naturally skeptical. My account for the bodog $$$ is what was left in my Wachovia when I moved to California.. which is to say nothing at all pretty much. Whatever was left from my last NC paycheck is what was in it and I don't plan on using it for anything but sports betting

Just came across this thread, glad to see some people on here are into sports betting. I'm taking AF -7 vs Utah tonight. Not sure if you guys base any of this on records in posts, but I think its a strong pick. I know I am new here, but....17-1 team ranked #11 visiting Utah 5-12. AF has been blowing out their competition, where as Utah has been playing close almost every game. I would say its EZ money, but I don't wanna jinx myself.
