I agree. There's no telling what they're up to.........
5/25/2005 11:27:22 PM
Now Alias had a great ending. That's the way to end a season. Not much happened in 2 hrs. LOST writers take notes.
5/25/2005 11:33:49 PM
DUDEPLZ DON'T COMPARE THE ALIAS ENDING TO THE LOST ENDINGmy roommate told me what went down with that shit"HEY LETS DO SOMETHING WE'VE DONE BEFORE WITH ALMOST EVERY OTHER CHARACTER + AN UNEXPECTED CAR CRASH"because a t-bone out of nowhere was SOOOO FRESH when the O.C. did it two weeks ago...and the whole idea that captain gorton is one of the others friggin freaks me out
5/25/2005 11:44:00 PM
gg to aaawally, he really knows his shit about Scott and Steve, basically in my opinion what LOST is actually all about, being mixed up in life.
5/25/2005 11:48:11 PM
Alex was a girl
5/25/2005 11:54:16 PM
^I think the writers are all mixed up and they keep introducing more craziness. If they don't start closing some loose ends at the beginning of next season, I'm going to really angry....really angry

Knock knock, who's there? Lost. Lost who? Lost in the thread which I thought was about Alias but its actually about LOST.
5/26/2005 12:02:44 AM
is this an Alias thread? i think we should get back on topic: Scott and Steve. Steve wouldnt have let the pirates take Walt if he went on the boat with him. hes a magician.as far as the confusion theme, i think its right on the money, because look at it this way: maybe the reason scott is always confused with steve, is because scott is steve, in many different ways. everyone on the island is just one piece of a big puzzle, as john locke said, "they were each on the island for a specific reason." steve is scott and scott is steve, and when scott died, he did his part by making steve realize that he needs to make a difference on the island, a la porking that lady that sawyer was talking about. all in all, arent we all magicians, putting up a front and creating an illusion, just like what the island is doing to everyone on the island. we are all magicians. think about it.
5/26/2005 12:05:07 AM
I recall last week Danielle specifically said that Alex was a girl.
5/26/2005 12:08:12 AM
omg WHAT IF ALEX IS A BOY AND A GIRL
5/26/2005 12:12:48 AM
hermaphrobaby!
5/26/2005 12:15:22 AM
a freakin LOST reunion on Kimmel NOW
5/26/2005 12:24:15 AM
Alex is a girl and she almost certainly was the one who threw the bomb onto the raft.
5/26/2005 12:26:19 AM
that lady was too old to be alex
5/26/2005 12:33:06 AM
^^ good callmichael just said on kimmel that the pirates are the "others" and he pretty much said all other theories were true, his son has powers, etc.
5/26/2005 12:37:23 AM
^^^I had that thought as well^^I went back and looked at it on DVR. She looked like she could have been 16 years old. It was hard to say for sure. Looked like she had some weird ass red symbol on her forehead.[Edited on May 26, 2005 at 12:38 AM. Reason : ^]
5/26/2005 12:37:38 AM
wowi wonder if dude'll get like fired or something, i mean, thats kinda big...
5/26/2005 12:41:03 AM
i replayed it on dvr too and if she was 16, then it would be a great stretch, but the island is pretty crazy
I thought it was a great season finale...it left a ton of questions for people to ponder from now until late September. Think about some of the greatest season finales ever like "Who shot JR?"...that was only one question....this left just a ton of questions just like it always has. The show wasnt designed so that you would have all your questions answered tonight, it was designed to give you just a little bit but save enough to make you want to tune in next season....and anyone who has watched this show regularly would be crazy to skip out on season 2.^^^ I doubt the producers have given the cast any information they would risk getting out. I mean, yeah it sounds big, but either its false info or they feel like some of that stuff was pretty obvious (I didnt see Kimmel so I dont know what he confirmed)
5/26/2005 12:53:10 AM
the "Who shot JR?" analogy doesn't work hereit was clear that nobody liked JR and JR did a lot of shit to make people angryhere we have a hatch which for half the season sits therefor a half a season we're like what's up with that hatch?whats it for? what's it do? what's in it? why is there no handle on the outside? why did it light up for locke? why does locke think it's magical? can they even all fit in the hatch and hide there from the "others"? how can they open the hatch? they answered like 2 of those questions, they blasted the door open and it's a long ass tunnel to somewhere...
5/26/2005 1:04:00 AM
^Yeah, I didn't expect to learn everything, or even half of what we don't know. But I did expect the season finale to be more of the end of a chapter than it was. Like we finally see The Others, we don't learn much about them, but just from the few lines we get and what they look like we can learn a little something.. Or we just get like one shot of what's in the hatch and we can spend all summer trying to figure out how things will play out now.[Edited on May 26, 2005 at 1:05 AM. Reason : ]

I don't understand why everyone is calling the people on the boat "pirates"...Are you for sure they are pirates or just calling them that for sake of not knowing exactly what they are?I thought it was a great episode. I knew the opening of the hatch would probably be the very last thing shown and I knew it wouldn't go into much detail. I've seen enough season finales of shows to know that they always do that stuff. I still go by my theory that the island was some kind of military testing site, running experiments on animals... The hatch leads to an underground facility where they ran tests and experiments.I don't think the kid has powers at all. No matter what he said on Kimmel... giving away show details like that would get him in pretty big trouble...i would think[Edited on May 26, 2005 at 1:13 AM. Reason : yeah]
5/26/2005 1:12:12 AM
if they don't start answering questions to all this confusion next season Im gonna be pissedgood season finale, but I feel like none of my questions were answered

^^All coincidences in themselves. The toughest to buy as coincidence being him telling Locke not to open the hatch.^I hadn't heard that.THAT WOULD BE FUCKING SWEET.[Edited on May 26, 2005 at 1:24 AM. Reason : ]
5/26/2005 1:23:33 AM
walt's never seen or heard about the hatchhe doesn't tell locke not to open the hatch, he tells him not to open "it" don't open whatever "it" ishe gets that from grabbing locke's armkid's definitely got something going on
5/26/2005 1:27:53 AM
That's what I'm saying.

5/26/2005 8:11:30 AM
5/26/2005 8:13:03 AM
So, what was the extra scene shown on Good Morning America? I missed it unless they show it in the next 15 minutes. If somebody caputured it, could they post a link or something?
5/26/2005 8:44:52 AM
WAITwhat?extra scene?
5/26/2005 8:53:32 AM
abc advertised that on GMA they were going to show an "extra" scene that the producers wanted us to see but couldn't show in the episode
5/26/2005 8:55:09 AM
The extra scene really wasn't all that impressive.Danielle is sitting on the beach, after she shows up, before she steals the baby.Charlie and Claire and standing off near the woods, talking about how crazy Danielle is. Charlie's all like "OMG she hears voices that aren't there and she's crazy and crazy like a nut."Claire is all like, "I don't want her to take my baby."Charlie says, "OMG, that's why you haven't named the baby yet! You think Danielle is going to take her, and that's why you haven't named him! OMG!"and that was it.
5/26/2005 9:01:56 AM
thanks
5/26/2005 9:02:33 AM
wasnt that the scene that was supposed to be on last week and was cut?it was in the preview or writeup or whatever.
5/26/2005 9:17:17 AM
i swearsawyer better not be deadi meanwhen boone diedsawyer moved into my top spot
5/26/2005 9:28:31 AM
i think when the japanese guy jumped into the water he swam to the front of the boat and grabbed on. He's going to kung fu the pirates and get walt back. he might get the boat and get back to michael and sawyer then they will go back to the other survivors but the boat will have gotten damaged earlier and sink right before they get to shore and they will have to swim back, and we will back back where we were 5 episodes ago.
5/26/2005 10:08:28 AM
japanese? are you seriously that ignorant?
5/26/2005 10:53:49 AM
5/26/2005 11:05:26 AM
Because it's a season finale. They know they are on for a second season so why not leave people guessing? Think of season finales of other shows and how many questions they answered.
5/26/2005 11:24:34 AM
coming to a resolution about major plot devices throughout the season and then introducing new questions is much different than leaving questions from the very beginning of the season unanswered
5/26/2005 11:26:59 AM
oh yeah..am i the only person who thought the "monster" sounded like a heavy piece of machinery running on diesel? i guarantee it is some man-made "monster" that can burrow into the ground....that place is an old military installation that was doing experiments...the hatch leads to an underground laboratory.
5/26/2005 11:30:22 AM
^no you're not the only onehow could you not hear the roller coaster chain ratcheting sound pulling locke down the hole?the weird smoke and the invisible machine doesn't help explain anything either
5/26/2005 11:42:36 AM
^yea i watch tv with closed caption a good bit and when the monster was dragging him it said "gears clicking"
