^^ So what that article is saying is, most likely "Oh hay, NIT"Not surprised, but here's hoping for something awesome.[Edited on March 6, 2012 at 7:08 PM. Reason : oh, and p38]

here's a highly unrealistic hypotheticalif we win the ACC tourney, what is our seed in the NCAA tourney? maybe a 5?
3/6/2012 7:08:55 PM
Go Providence and Princeton
3/6/2012 7:19:39 PM
K Inge? damn, blast from the past
3/6/2012 7:40:47 PM
The tigers up 16 on PennProvidence looks really bad, the hall might beat them by 30. [Edited on March 6, 2012 at 8:18 PM. Reason : Big East More bad Teams than good teams. ]
3/6/2012 8:10:51 PM
seton hall bringin the rape
3/6/2012 8:22:19 PM
3/6/2012 8:25:09 PM
Western Kentucky wins. What does that mean for the bubble/us?
3/6/2012 9:03:12 PM
C'mon Princeton, hold on you smart asses
3/6/2012 9:07:52 PM
Princeton up 10 with a minute to go, I think they've got it
3/6/2012 9:14:38 PM
They beat north Texas who will not be on the bubble. That's all I can offer.
3/6/2012 9:14:40 PM
I just dont follow the mid-major conferences much. I wasn't sure what a team with a losing record making the NCAA tourney is going to do to us.
3/6/2012 9:15:44 PM
Princeton winning should improve are our RPI by 0.00001[Edited on March 6, 2012 at 9:26 PM. Reason : u got me brah][Edited on March 6, 2012 at 9:28 PM. Reason : m]
3/6/2012 9:21:19 PM
It should also keep Penn from winning the Ivy and Harvard taking an at-large spot
3/6/2012 9:22:35 PM

saw these two links posted on PackPride. these three guys have some kind of formula they use to predict the NCAA tourney teams...they say it's 94% accurate. kinda neat.http://www.unf.edu/~jcoleman/dance.htmhttp://blogs.sas.com/content/sascom/2012/03/01/pack-mentality-countdown-to-ncaa-has-ncsu-on-edge/also, lundardi's latest bracketology http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/bracketology:

but what if you had 3 doors, and put only one team behind one of the doors...
3/7/2012 12:09:55 AM
^lol
3/7/2012 12:14:18 AM
like two pages late on this, but those march madness uniforms would be a lot cooler on a team that i, you know, expected to do anything special this march.

Word Lunardi, 10 Big east teams?Like I'm supposed to believe thatConnecticutSeton Halland West Virginia are all supposed to get in? a couple years back the big east deserved all those bids, now it feels like they're just getting bids just for being massive.[Edited on March 7, 2012 at 11:24 AM. They are the SEC of basketball hadn't you heard?I feel like UCONN vs. WVU this afternoon should be basically a play in game for those two.[Edited on March 7, 2012 at 11:27 AM. Reason : .]
3/7/2012 11:26:16 AM
UConn is 34th RPI with 5 RPI top 50 wins and the 2 SOS in the country. They are a lock. WVU is 43rd and a lock. Hall is 60 and dicey IMO though they do have 4 top 50 wins compared to our zero..Re: UConn they played half the season without their coach and without their starting PG. these things are also taken in to consideration but their resume alone is that of a lock.[Edited on March 7, 2012 at 11:41 AM. Reason : X]
3/7/2012 11:39:47 AM
yeah I don't really have issue with UConn, but Seton and WV seem a bit weak to me at least from the eyeball test
3/7/2012 11:50:56 AM
So we want UConn to win this?
3/7/2012 12:37:46 PM
i thought uconn was banned from the tournament this year, or no?
3/7/2012 12:45:39 PM
No
3/7/2012 12:48:36 PM
oh ok...must have assumed their probation included that...nvm
3/7/2012 12:50:45 PM
They MAY miss it next year bc of the APR but I'll believe that when I see it.
3/7/2012 12:52:11 PM
I like that the officials actually let the Big East teams play though. They are physical as hell
3/7/2012 1:20:35 PM
As for the UConn thing, their punishment will probably be the 2013 tournament. They did the same thing with UNLV, delaying their punishment so they could defend their title.
3/7/2012 1:28:30 PM
Except that isn't part of their punishment at all, so it's not true. Google UConn APR, it's not too difficult.
3/7/2012 1:52:32 PM
It says they are ineligible for the 2013 tournament because of their APR, so I'm a bit confused what you mean.[Edited on March 7, 2012 at 2:01 PM. Reason : .]
3/7/2012 1:54:48 PM
gd Shabazz
3/7/2012 2:01:38 PM
they definitely said during UCONNs first round game that they are ineligible to compete in the 2013 NCAAT. Said that would be a big factor in Drummond, Lamb and Calhoun's decisions to come back next year
3/7/2012 2:04:29 PM
^^ it's not delayed. It's for that season and has nothing to do with any violations that they are on probation for.
3/7/2012 2:05:33 PM
Gotcha, thanks for clarifying.
3/7/2012 2:06:16 PM
that was a Herb of a play by UConn
3/7/2012 2:07:31 PM
Np, didn't mean to be an ass.OT time..
3/7/2012 2:07:41 PM
Ideal situation for us is probably uconn beats WV then loses next round, that way they both finish w/ losing records against the conference. Even in a good conference its hard to pick a team with a losing record in conference.
3/7/2012 2:14:31 PM
If UConn wins, they are in. Despite the losing record, they have a 34 RPI, 2 SOS, and 6-6 against the RPI Top 50.
3/7/2012 2:17:18 PM
wvu has a higher rpi than uconn so I'm pulling for wvu, pretty certain both teams are a lock though
3/7/2012 2:18:57 PM
who did UConn beat this year? FSU and Notre Dame? wow, so impressive
3/7/2012 2:22:28 PM
does UConn run an offense? looks like Calhoun just rolls the ball out and tells them to go. they've got size to be good defensively though.LOL at that WVU white guy's shot[Edited on March 7, 2012 at 2:24 PM. Reason : ]
3/7/2012 2:23:46 PM
that game was handed to them in OT.
