how else is Charlotte gonna get into the Big Least if they don't join CUSA?
5/2/2012 7:21:13 PM
doesn't matter. football died today.
5/2/2012 9:23:16 PM
Phillip Rivers?
5/2/2012 9:24:18 PM
How is that CUSA better than the A10? I guess football but that basketball league is gonna suck. It will be nice to be in D1A for football on the first go around.I take that football paRt back - looking at that west division, that is sorry as shit[Edited on May 2, 2012 at 10:52 PM. Reason : R]
5/2/2012 10:50:26 PM
CUSA is complete shit now. (It wasnt much before, just a feeder conference for the big conferences)
5/3/2012 2:31:09 AM
I've read some rumors in the aftermath of the $2.6 billion TV contract for the Big 12 of Clemson and Florida State going there. Is this just fan-invented bullshit or is there something to it?
5/8/2012 2:11:56 PM
fan invented bullshit.ND to the ACC after the big east dies? very much real.
5/8/2012 2:13:35 PM
I call dibs on creating the "Two Giga-Conferences With Thirty-Two Teams Each!" threadSoutheast Atlantic Coast ConferenceB1G XXIIAnd the west coast will be below sea level when the polar ice caps melt so fuck them
5/8/2012 3:12:24 PM
actually the East Coast, being on an Amero-trailing edge plate, would be underwater before the west coastwonder what kind of rivalry Charlotte and ECU will eventually have
5/8/2012 3:16:18 PM
They UNC-Charlotte/ECU basketball games were pretty intense back in the day.
5/8/2012 4:49:46 PM
At least ecu will have a football rival now.
5/8/2012 5:57:27 PM
Jimbo Fisher might like to be in the Big 12.
5/13/2012 12:20:07 AM
^yeah http://sports.yahoo.com/news/ncaaf--florida-state-trustee-sparks-firestorm-with-desire-to-join-big-12.html'fuck em if they leave, they're not an original ACC school anywayalthough they're more 'original' than BC, VT, MIA
5/13/2012 1:08:28 AM
Their years of shitty football are the reason our tv contract pales in comparison to the sec.If they and miami had been remotely nationally relevant in the last 5 years, the acc would have had a comparable contract to the sec.
5/13/2012 1:16:02 PM
if FSU leaves, i hope the ACC gets Notre Dame not UConn. If we care at all about academics, we cant take uconnthat and chicago is a short drive from south bend
5/14/2012 12:51:23 AM
^^Are they not relevant now? They're preseason top 10 again.
5/14/2012 8:17:03 AM
they are preseason top 10 every year then they lose to Wake and don't get to play in the championship game.

5/14/2012 10:45:02 AM
ACC never had the infrastructure to compete with the SEC or Big Ten in terms of football deal. FSU never had much in common with the flagship ACC schools anyway. If they can get more money for their football machine then they should go for it.
5/14/2012 11:33:33 AM
probably because UCONN is banned next year because of their student graduation rates.
5/14/2012 12:02:43 PM
5/14/2012 12:15:54 PM
5/14/2012 12:20:03 PM
^ agreed. It's absurd that the "pollsters" never learn, yet they keep getting burned every year.
5/14/2012 12:45:56 PM
Fine Florida State, you wanna get nuts? LET'S GET NUTSFSU and Miami/Clemson (and Louisville and Cincinatti) to Big XIINC State and VPI to SECMD (and Rutgers) to B1G 10ND, UConn, South Florida to ACC
5/14/2012 1:30:14 PM
TOB might be able to win 2 games a year in the SEC
5/15/2012 1:17:28 AM
5/15/2012 7:57:23 AM
actually, at least 75% of them wouldn't, because for one of them to go undefeated requires three of the others to loseand when did Clemson get foisted up as one of these alleged super teams? did I miss that meeting? Danny Ford left the building in the 1980s and all Clemson has had since is Bowden blowing it with a loss late every year and giving up 70 points to West Virginia in the Orange Bowl the Clemson fanbase is just as much out of touch with reality when it comes to where they think they are compared to their actual level of play as Texas A&M fans are[Edited on May 15, 2012 at 8:57 AM. Clemson has been better than fsu and miami recently. Also please remind me of another acc team that has had a national championship in football in the last 50 years.
5/15/2012 11:07:03 AM
GT shared it in 1990
5/15/2012 11:08:21 AM
justin pwnt.
5/15/2012 11:09:51 AM
The only schools to win football Nat titles are Clemson, FSU, Maryland, GTech, Miami.[Edited on May 15, 2012 at 12:33 PM. Reason : how the eff did I miss the GTech pwnt. and Maryland is 59 years ago.]
5/15/2012 12:32:27 PM
all this talk of the ACC breaking up is nonsense
5/23/2012 11:42:45 AM
lol like georgia tech will ever win another bowl game with paul johnson as their coach.also pwnt
5/23/2012 11:48:37 AM
5/23/2012 11:53:44 AM
seriously its not going to happen.even if the likes of FSU and some other teams leave, ESPN would pay a shit ton of money for a basketball league with UNC & Duke. (and Pitt and Cuse and all those other teams like NCSU)
5/23/2012 11:55:22 AM
5/23/2012 12:19:26 PM
5/23/2012 12:44:15 PM

No we are the acc. Only now without delusions of being a football power broker.
5/23/2012 1:02:33 PM
5/23/2012 1:03:46 PM
If getting miami out of the conference means losing fsu and clemson, I think I'm okay with that.
5/23/2012 2:18:01 PM
5/23/2012 2:20:11 PM
Well they took wvu. clemson is the same thing, just a couple states away.
