9/24/2008 11:06:24 PM
I mean, it seems like people already hate McCain and Palin more than Dubyawhat is that hate based on? at least with Dubya you have 7 years of him being President to base it off...yet it seems like many of you hate McCain and Palin MORE...based on what?

Fuck yeah I'll whip out my guns when the Obamazons start rioting.PS- Treetwista you are my favorite mofo on this board.

^^ I don't see how you get that. You have to realize we're in the middle of a competition... like a sporting event. Until the actual election passes, people on both sides are going to attempt to dehumanize their opponent, so to speak. It's kind of like how we make fun of people from UNC as being fags. They probably have more fags than us, but IRL, most of us know and are probably friends with someone that went to UNC or likes UNC. It's part of the game. In this case, the game lasts until Nov. 4th.[Edited on September 24, 2008 at 11:10 PM. Reason : ]

I believe it reading your post history....either a troll or just another simple neck. We have enough of them as is, you're just boring. Glad McCain can get a gem like you on his side.

I don't understand why McCain would have suspended his campaign after dropping in the polls so steadily. If the debates are, in fact, cancelled, I think Friday night would be a good chance to arrange a debate amongst the third-party candidates. Why not? Will they even get a chance to debate? If nothing else, we would be presented with some viewpoints that, otherwise, would not arise. I assume all the networks have cleared that time-slot anyway. Maybe Obama could join in the fray.
9/25/2008 1:49:45 AM
i think the answer is that McCain is a complete dumbass.

someone needs to tell Bill Clinton to stfu
9/25/2008 8:48:11 AM
what did he say now?I thought his Daily Show appearance on Tuesday was fine. He clearly stated "we want Obama to win", and Jon Stewart cut to the chase and called BS on all the pundits who are doing nothing but arguing if the Clintons are being supportive enough of Obama. They have both stated many times that they want Obama to win, and their actions have supported that. What else can you expect them to do?

the sad thing is, this doesnt phase me because both candidates are such poor choices in my eyes im pretty numb about the whole thing at this point.

^ I told you. Me and BC are rock-solid.
9/25/2008 9:53:22 AM
Don't you guys get it? Bill Clinton is a private citizen now. He sells books, gives speeches, and makes TV and radio appearances. Conservative money is just as good as liberal money, he doesn't want to piss off either side.
9/25/2008 9:59:53 AM
Might be already posted but...McCain wants Palin-Biden debate pushed back as wellhttp://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalradar/2008/09/mccain-camp-let.htmlDoesn't surprise me at all, do we ever get to see this woman? It is bad enough that they already accommodated the McCain campaign's request to shorten the Q and A in the VP debates, now they are giving her more time to study up. I wouldn't be shocked if they found a way to scrub the VP debate altogether

They aren't going to fall in love with him but now that his wife is out of the race, there is absolutely no incentive for him to play the part of a partisan attack dog against John McCain.[Edited on September 25, 2008 at 10:13 AM. Reason : :]
9/25/2008 10:13:31 AM
He's not just another citizen, he's a very prominent and very popular Democrat ex-president. And what happened to his 'powerful endorsement' of Obama at the DNC?
9/25/2008 10:20:17 AM
That doesn't matter, what matters is the candidates themselves right now.
9/25/2008 10:34:23 AM
He's going to be campaigning for him in several states, including Pennsylvania. In fact, the Obama campaign has outlined several states Clinton will be campaigning for him in. He's flatly said multiple times that he believes Obama will win the election that he is the best choice for America. The only thing he's not doing is outright bashing John McCain. Hell, it's not like he gave McCain's actions his full endorsement or even said it was the right thing to do. All he said was that people shouldn't try to paint it in a political light and that bipartisanship is needed during this crisis. How is that weird? Don't get me wrong, I would love Bill Clinton to come out be the one to call out the McCain campaign for all it's bullshit, but I totally understand why he isn't.
9/25/2008 10:34:56 AM
I called up Bill last night and he was like...."John Mc-Cain!John Mc-Cain!USA!John Mc-Cain!"We both laffed
9/25/2008 11:00:39 AM
Socks, did you give up on your noble posting in here when you realized your pick for president is a joke? You were doing such a good job of educating us on the weaknesses of Obama and the strengths of your boy. I took a couple weeks off and I come back and it looks like you've mailed this thing in and given up hope that your candidate will get elected come Nov.
9/25/2008 11:04:16 AM
^ I've given up hope of having any descent discussions on policy until after the election. So I find other ways to kill time until then. I keep trying every once in a while, though. Kainen made some good points about health care policy that even led to its own multi-page thread, though it died off after a while. So I haven't totally lost hope.

Did anyone see Letterman the other night where McCain blew him off to "race back to Washington" to help out. And then they find out that he's in a nearby studio being interviewed by Katie Couric. That did not look good for him. [Edited on September 25, 2008 at 12:32 PM. Reason : n/m [old], but maybe others missed it]

^ The explanation seems like bullshit, kind of like the rumor that Palin was never pregnant (although that one did have a viable offspring-- no pun intended).
9/25/2008 1:08:53 PM
lol at being upset about McCain being "dishonest" and "misleading"and then treating an unfounded rumor as very serious business
9/25/2008 1:11:17 PM
^ Seriously.
9/25/2008 1:12:53 PM
I was implying if it WERE true it would be serious business to know. I don't think it is mind you, but its not far fetched either.
9/25/2008 1:28:57 PM
"If a candidate for president had a stroke and kept it a secret, it would be serious business."Ah yes, I agree now that you pointed it out. All this time, I cared little about potential health issues that would severly affect a president's ability to do his job.Various postings on blogs and discussions of if he had a stroke and its cover-up is going to have no other effect than putting doubt in people's minds that McCain is healthy enough to be president, which is based in nothing other than a couple of still photos and discussion of his makeup artist. Where's the outrage over that misleading information?

9/25/2008 1:37:06 PM
Bollocks! John McCain forced those clowns in Washington to get this legislation passed by the sheer force of his will. We need to get this man into the oval office asap.
9/25/2008 1:42:06 PM
9/25/2008 2:42:21 PM
whats so bad about that? oh yeah, Palin said it, so Kainen is gonna act like its the worst shit ever, even though theres nothing wrong with anything you just quoted unless you want to take issue with the "We- we-" slight stutters, but since Obama averages 17 "uh's" per answer I doubt you'd want to go there]
9/25/2008 3:10:17 PM
This interview is a trainwreck, she isn't qualified at all for anything. Now you know why they've been shielding her as long as they could...Everything about McCain's campaign is ONE BIG GIMMICK. How you don't see that is beyond me. From the ads, to the VP pick, to the strategy, to the grandstanding and posturing, it's all one big act. The fact that you could vote for that with any type of enthusiasm makes me feel sorry for you.
