4/7/2006 3:23:49 PM
this thread has definitely lost its steam, it's not 4 pages longer every time i look at it
4/7/2006 3:25:05 PM
Ever since the majority of the big named coaches were dispelled by WRAL/N&O/ESPN, it kinda lost a little power....
4/7/2006 3:30:58 PM
please do not get lavin, i'm begging you fowler
4/7/2006 3:33:41 PM
^^ you are right...i've lost interest too
4/7/2006 4:17:05 PM
I'm just tired of being stressed out about it to the point where I just don't care.
4/7/2006 4:22:24 PM
when I hear we have a coach, i will care again, since I can do nothing about who we get....why should I care?

4/7/2006 10:22:21 PM
wral says calipari our main prospect
4/7/2006 10:30:28 PM
I think that Calipari would be a good pick up for us... obviously Rick Barnes isn't interested, let him go!!
4/7/2006 10:37:11 PM
Calipari=slimeball, not Calhoun level, but closeThe whole thing with Chaney,Cal went waaay out of his way to call a reporter a 'fucking little Mexican" in the parking lot of the Meadowlands Arena, loud enough to be sure the writer heard him.then there's the story of him as a Pitt assistant trying to recruit a kid who was leaning toward St. John's by telling him Looie Carnesecca had cancer and wouldn't make it through the kid's 4 years in Queens. However, he did bring Memphis back to the forefront and got his players to graduate which hadn't always been the case at Memphis. When he got there, the graduation rate was a modest 0%[Edited on April 7, 2006 at 10:58 PM. Reason : l]

^wonderful argument [Edited on April 7, 2006 at 10:58 PM. Reason : btw, that's way better than herb's graduation rate]

Saw Rick Barnes at Krispy Kreme a little while ago wearing a Wolfpack hatHe likes maple glazed
4/8/2006 1:19:21 AM
No coach of mine shall like maple glazed.
4/8/2006 8:10:23 AM
i really find it odd that Texas hasn't come out and said "BARNES HAS A NEW CONTRACT, HERE IT IS, GO AWAY WOLFPACK".the fact that its been a week and theres still uncertainty can't be a bad thing for us...
4/8/2006 9:16:44 AM
jesus people, give up on Barnes..its time to move onPitino or Calipari it is!!!!
4/8/2006 11:45:50 AM

4/8/2006 11:57:31 AM

4/8/2006 12:22:52 PM

^^anybody who wants our new coach to run a respectable program.the majority of you are retards[Edited on April 8, 2006 at 12:33 PM. Reason : retards]
4/8/2006 12:33:18 PM
i think a lot of state fans are sick of losing respectfully.....i would way rather have a coach that is a little shady and win some games....we all know what goes on in college athletics....[Edited on April 8, 2006 at 12:39 PM. Reason : ]
4/8/2006 12:36:49 PM
^^^Hey man, don't be so insensitive. As long as they continue to provide low wage maintenance on golf courses, they aren't completely useless.[Edited on April 8, 2006 at 12:38 PM. Reason : ^]
4/8/2006 12:37:43 PM
that's better.and to be honest, I'd rather have both a clean AND winning program.[Edited on April 8, 2006 at 12:40 PM. Reason : ]
4/8/2006 12:37:45 PM
hey we lose but at least we lose running a respectful (clean) program

4/8/2006 2:46:34 PM
we can only dream
4/8/2006 2:52:47 PM
Dude, that would be SO awesome if we indeed plan on giving Calipari the job while people still thought that we were talking to BarnesCalipari was my #1 choice anyhow, he was higher in the rankings all year than Barnes, and he's more charasmatic in my opinionAnd to add to what was said earlier, WINNING is always better than LOSING, it's 2006 people, who honestly cares about being clean and respectful as a top priority. Nobody does this day and age anyhow. WE JUST WANT TO WIN!!Bring on Calipari!
4/8/2006 2:54:24 PM
^what he said
4/8/2006 2:57:20 PM
to reply to the thought that Calipari is a "slime ball," here's a little information about him that i find great. not saying he's a saint, but this does paint a different picture.
