this needs some more girly updates. I got some cute panties on sale from VS. you really don't need to wait for their huge sale, they are slowly trying to get rid of things b/4 the crowds come.
6/6/2007 6:55:55 PM
what kinda sales do they have now?
6/6/2007 6:57:41 PM
honestly the same prices i have seen during their normal sales
6/6/2007 6:58:32 PM
Okay, ladies, for my wedding - Full veil that covers my face, or veil with comb that tucks under the updo part of the hair?
6/6/2007 7:02:12 PM
Don't they have a combo of that? I dunno a thing about veils haha.
6/6/2007 7:08:44 PM
Perhaps - I've not shopped extensively for a veil yet My sister-in-law had trouble finding one that did both though - She had to have material or something added to hers to have the veil over her face for hers (this was 8 years ago). I'll look into it - was just looking for an opinion about the two "look" options

oooh, how much was it, misha? it's really cute, but i like the other shade of pink too.
6/7/2007 2:01:41 PM
$20, it's retail therapy
6/7/2007 3:56:52 PM
yay I just bought the cute tank top and with offer codes for online I got free underwear, free shipping, and $5 off my order so with both it was $23 yay
6/7/2007 7:47:22 PM
I got my hair cut last night (hadn't had it cut in like 5 months) and a mani/pedi (about the same amount of time since I had it done).I feel pretty, oh so pretty!
6/8/2007 8:49:46 AM
god i'm such an ebay makeup whore. i spent about $55 on two different auctions on ebay, and who knows if I'll even use any of the stuff. but i'm going wednesday for a hair cut. haven't had one since mid-april, and that was more of a trim. i'm debating on how i should cut it. it's medium, shoulder-length (well it hits my shoulder). but my hair is really fine/thin. idk what would work with my face and style of hair. any ideas?

To hair is human; to wax, divine.

To hair is human; to wax, jesuschristthisiscompletelyunnaturalandstingsgoddamn.
6/9/2007 11:03:59 PM
THIS'LL ONLY HURT FOR A LITTLE WHILEbut no really, it hurts, but in a good way.
6/9/2007 11:06:55 PM
I think it's funny that girl's buy lip plumpers or get fat injections, when all you need to do is soak your lips in salt water...Anyway, I'm in love with Too-Faced Pink Chocolate Palette...
6/9/2007 11:07:49 PM
^^ I get my eyebrows waxed, but I will absolutely not put hot wax on hair anywhere else.[Edited on June 9, 2007 at 11:09 PM. Reason : yikes]
6/9/2007 11:08:34 PM
meanwhile I hate getting my eyebrows waxed because it's too close to my eyes and I get nervous. I figure dripping a little wax down there isn't going to be nearly as bad as on my face or anything
6/9/2007 11:13:02 PM
you can ask for a towel...
6/9/2007 11:17:08 PM
this might sound horrible, but i wanna get my armpits waxed....my eyebrow hair is like nonexistent/not thick enough to really make a difference and well, i've thought about 'down there'. but my pits are what i really want, and need.
6/9/2007 11:22:42 PM
WTF...buy a razor!!!!!I never go a day without shaving!
6/9/2007 11:29:30 PM
Out of curiosity because it was brought up in that going down threadWhat percentage of you ladies are au natural, trimmed, landing strip, or bare?
6/9/2007 11:31:30 PM
i shave, dammit! but that skin does not do so hot with a razor to it all of the time. nair ftw most of the time, but i was just contemplating in general about waxing them.
6/9/2007 11:34:25 PM
wax hurts...i haven't tried nair..does it work?
6/9/2007 11:42:11 PM
it has for me...some people have skin reactions to it/veet. (if you have especially sensitive skin, you may wanna stay away.)
6/9/2007 11:45:32 PM
Wax only hurts if it's cheap...go to a salon with jar wax...I've never had a complaint from a client
6/9/2007 11:46:24 PM
yea i've had wax done in india...legs and underarms...and they were doing it at the same time
6/9/2007 11:47:38 PM
^eek...that's a lot of hair pulling at one time.
6/9/2007 11:56:23 PM
^^I thought that they used threading in India?
6/10/2007 12:00:37 AM
just for eyebrows (thats what i get done)..everything else is waxing
6/10/2007 12:01:40 AM
6/10/2007 12:05:14 AM
being a little crazy does help and getting your underarms done is reasonably cheap where I went (generations salon) but the results didn't last that long for me.In general, you get what you pay for. I would go to nail/eyebrow places and got burned (literally haha) a few times, and switched to this other place and I love it. Now if only I could afford waxing on a regular basis...
6/10/2007 1:44:04 AM
dude, i got the darker shade of the tokidoki gloss on ebay for $15.50 total. (new, of course, not used)
6/12/2007 3:55:08 PM
OR you could do what my cousin did and get electrolosis down there
6/12/2007 4:04:45 PM
speakin of waxing.... anybody have any salons they recommend for bikini waxes?or good stores for bathing suit shopping? i havent owned one in quite some time, and i'm picky [Edited on June 12, 2007 at 5:30 PM. Reason : .]
6/12/2007 5:29:32 PM
Finally found a pair I love!
6/14/2007 4:18:23 PM
what is that salon hairspray in the tall silver tube that smells like cotton candy?
6/14/2007 7:06:41 PM
This sort of shit REALLY PISSES ME OFF
6/18/2007 5:42:59 PM
how did i miss that getting approved for otc?
6/18/2007 5:43:47 PM
I have no clue. It was a pretty big deal. Almost makes me wanna go get one to have on hand just in case (my parents have actually talked to me about keeping one on hand for my sister, since she'd never go to them but would come to me), and see just how ardently those soapbox pharmacists stand up to an assertive customer And how far up the company hierarchy I could take any resulting complaints.]
6/18/2007 5:47:11 PM
6/18/2007 5:51:36 PM
i kept checking the FDA site last year, but oh well. at least now i know.i'm sure out here it's almost impossible to get. too many nosy, overly religious bigots.
6/18/2007 5:53:38 PM
6/18/2007 5:53:58 PM
i don't have anything better to add to the plan b stuff since ambrosia, mcfluffle, and tartsquid said it more intelligently/eloquently, but i agree that it's freakin insane that pharmacists are doing this.
6/18/2007 5:56:07 PM
^sadly, their attitude isn't new. many refused to dispense it when it was completely presciption only.
6/18/2007 5:58:21 PM
6/18/2007 6:01:35 PM
Just bought these to match an off-white & olive dress (I have to go to a wedding this Thursday):
