I post PI on here just to see people bitch and moan. It's pretty funny. Yes, they're not good journalist. Yes, they perform some hackery. No, I've never given them a dime. But I do get some "info" from there, even if it is hacked. I don't tweet. If you don't like it, don't read it. (although I kinda enjoy reading it, to get a little "info", and for comedy relief)

Almost a day old now, but it's not on here so Dave Telep's recent blog mentions us as a destination for Montrezl Harris.
5/21/2012 9:04:55 AM
I'm surprised we're even in the mix. No way we convince a 4-star kid to basically redshirt a year.
5/21/2012 9:20:27 AM
it wouldn't be like redshirting, since he'd actually lose a year of eligibility (unless he wins an appeal)
5/21/2012 9:27:29 AM
such a fucked up rule
5/21/2012 9:30:06 AM
There is no contract, he can do whatever he wants
5/21/2012 10:04:35 AM
how do you know? everything i've read said it doesn't matter that he was released from his LOI. that's what tww told me (and some of the recruiting analysts, i think)
5/21/2012 10:08:09 AM
VT gave him a full unconditional release, right? What legal standing does the ACC have if there is no contract?Rules are made to be broken
5/21/2012 12:59:02 PM
apparently he is not considering NCSU anymore ... due to the 1 year thing ... saw it on tweeterSo, Rodney Hood and that other dude are the only realistic options remaining for us, right?
5/21/2012 1:00:47 PM
^^ The ACC has specific language dealing with released LOIs. He'd need to get some kind of nullification, not just a release.
5/21/2012 1:18:52 PM
I doubt we wouldve taken Turner if we had a shot at HoodLooks like Goodman, Random Euro Turd or Bust
5/21/2012 2:18:28 PM
5/21/2012 2:25:54 PM
Sounds like bust.Gottfried & Co really struck out this spring. It should be interesting to see the staff try to fill 7 scholarships over the next year.
5/21/2012 2:42:08 PM
5/21/2012 2:48:19 PM
yeah, not sure if i'd use the term "struck out", when they already had 3 AAs signed before the Spring (and they got turner during the spring).
5/21/2012 2:53:16 PM
5/21/2012 3:25:49 PM
5/21/2012 5:14:16 PM
I'll talk about it and say that I bet they don't try to fill all seven scholarships
5/21/2012 5:25:29 PM
What does the Pack Pride article "Goodman on Pack's radar" say?
5/21/2012 5:38:30 PM
Probably what all "recruiting update" articles say: not a gotdamn
5/21/2012 5:43:13 PM
^ Or, put another way, exactly what the title says, but with a lot more words.
5/21/2012 5:52:13 PM
I rather get a raw 7 footer out of europe. Even if they are worse than Vandy it makes practice more difficult and prepares us for playing against height which seems to be our biggest problem. Then there is the chance they could actually develop into a role player.

How are we looking for Kennedy Meeks? I thought he wanted to decide before the summer?
5/21/2012 9:20:16 PM
^^ i don't know what's more dramatic, what i said or you calling what i said "predicting the end of the world". hey what's up guys i'm synapse. i don't understand hyperbole.[Edited on May 21, 2012 at 9:59 PM. 5/22/2012 12:06:05 AM
that's actually pretty skillful of him. nicely done kennedy meeks.
5/22/2012 2:17:16 AM
I'd rather us have schollies left than have a Jaqwan Raymond for 4 years. And I just want to say that I fucking hate having to look at the PI guy's RAWR RAWR post every time I come to this page.
5/22/2012 7:10:43 AM
Yes, its good to have more than half of your teams scholarships open at one time.I mean we really only need five players.
5/22/2012 7:32:45 AM
^^careful! some people in here will not be happy with that and call you out with "you never know how good Raymond could have been! He could have soared so high!!!"
5/22/2012 8:31:47 AM
We should probably give it our best shot next season with our depleted roster, and then just call it quits for the entire program.
5/22/2012 8:44:12 AM
Personally, i'd rather we had a roster with 11-13 available players on it than one with 9 scholarship guys who can play. That way, if we have 3 injuries to backcourt players the way UNC did last year, we aren't starting Staats Battle.I shouldn't have said that Gott "struck out" this spring. He got 1 guy, Ralston Turner. But he swung for the fences with Amile, and missed. That happens. I'm just stating the obvious, that we now have a whole lot of roster positions to fill if we want to field a team in 13-14. Our scholarship spacing isn't exactly what you would call "ideal".[Edited on May 22, 2012 at 9:17 AM. Reason : ^]
5/22/2012 9:13:28 AM
We're losing Wood and Howell, and probably Leslie, and maybe Brown, maybe. We'll have 6 scholarship guys returning at a minimum (including Turner), 8 at max. With all the open scholarships, I'm hoping Gott & co. will be able to pull in at least 2 or 3 solid players in 2013, and we should be fine. I hope.
5/22/2012 9:44:30 AM
^ we have potentially the best roster in 20+ years and are looking like the favorite to win the ACC next year and people are still complaining...thats some N.C State shit right there.
5/22/2012 9:45:44 AM
yeah, i'm pretty sure this is the most talent that's been on the team since i've been paying attention (well, i was around in '83, but i couldn't tell you who was on the team beyond the starters).it's really going to be tough losing wood, howell, probably leslie and maybe brown in 2013. and as of now, we don't have any big-man depth at all in 2013 (and questionable starters). but we should be able to get a few solid freshmen, and i'm hoping it's not quite as bad as some are making it out to be.[Edited on May 22, 2012 at 9:57 AM. 5/22/2012 9:55:26 AM
2013 definitely does not look as promising as this upcoming year but let's worry about that when it gets here and enjoy this season of hopefully beating UNC (twice) for the first time in a while.
5/22/2012 9:59:21 AM
saying 2013 doesn't look as promising is a pretty big understatement.so far we have 5 guys on scholarship for then (because if brown plays as well this year as he did last year, HE GONE)
5/22/2012 10:31:51 AM
we'll have 6, even if brown leaves (turner), and i'm thinking that brown stays if he doesn't improve, but he probably will improve. but he still might stay.and by having so many open schollies, we probably won't be stingy and will offer a lot of guys, and hopefully pick-up several solid players, hopefully a true "center", or a big PF.[Edited on May 22, 2012 at 10:38 AM.
