Saturnine: can you just post the saved map somewhere? so if anyone has the gumption they can try putting up a new server?

Also, not to knock school or anything, but university is a fucking breeze. I wish daily that all I had to do were papers and exams.

The few of us on TWW that are still in school will occasionally have to focus on school.

I would like to keep the server running of my own accord, but it just isn't worth the time/cost investment for something I rarely play anymore myself. My apologies for not keeping it up to date over the past few months; priorities and all that.

There's a couple servers I moderate or admin on that I will recommend to you guys if you just want a good server to play on.

Foremost, I moderator at rufust.haftacraft.com (put that in for multiplayer)

I'm also a moderator at x.treepunch.us which is another fun one. Be warned, it's full PVP, and death gives you a two-hour ban.

The server I admin on is down for a bit, but I might share that if it gets fixed.

Name is Netstorm as usual.

I need a new server. The one I was playing on press the reset button and added Towny and I have decided that mod is terrible.

Pigsaddle has some great hosting, but I think they're sold out of hosting right now.

I just want a place online I can build whatever I want.

I'm out of town (actually on a plane currently), but I will get our server back up and running.

PM me if you guys know of good hosting places (other than the ones already mentioned). I love this game and our community was (still is) awesome.

Also PM me if you have mod/admin experience and want to put the time in to help manage the new server. I'm going to assume for now that PirateArrnny will still be the main mod/admin.

Updated my client to whatever the latest version is after not playing in a month or so. Now I'm getting crashes on trying to load saves. I've uninstalled my only mod (single player commands), all my Painterly packs, and even all my minecraft data, still not working. Any thoughts?

^delete your minecraft folder completely and redownload it from minecraft.net (back up your worlds first):

On a PC, delete or rename folder: %appdata%\.minecraft

no idea on a Mac

I loaded up the world file on my server at home and have been flying around checking stuff out. There's quite a bit of cool stuff that I simply hadn't found before.

If you need an admin, I'll throw my hat in the ring. Just let me know.

Terraria is pretty fun so far... but I haven't even gotten to NPC/Boss fights yet. It's like minecraft and megaman had some type of mutant child

I play on a public server based in the UK called "Pigsaddle."

It's running Towny Mod, which I did not like at first but I've gotten used to it and actually learned to like it a lot.

So yesterday, a guy in my town, an admin no less, was like "Oops. I just set a tree on fire."

...it then spread to the whole town.

Needless to say, I had just finished a highway from our town to the next and then when I come back, boom... no town left except for anything non-wood. One guy had finished this crazy elaborate wood cabin the day before too.

Ah well. Time to rebuild.

New one, only because I wasn't able to download the old one before he took the server offline. So we'll have to have a big rebuilding party for pirate

Also economy plugin will be turned on. Vaults will work but its going to be a bit of manual labor yo get them all back setup properly.

Gold boosters were long overdue. Pretty psyched they're getting boosted even more.

Never bothered with that two-cart acceleration glitch. Not an elegant solution, and the stations I've seen are all horrible aesthetically. Glad for this change in 1.6.
